  • Truly amazing. Only 28 ages for now, and she got all of the things that many people can't achieve in their whole life. The best and most beautiful violinist :X:X:X

  • does she have anything that she wrote herself?

  • What is the name of the piece it plays in 4:33 with his teacher?

  • @teccomin he's just a host wat d you expect .. :D peace

  • What is the name of the piece at 3:29? Thanks in advance

  • this tv host doesn't know music.

  • Congratulations and thank you for this very important video for me !

  • how could I have missed 'one of the greatest young violinists of our time'?

probably because there are way too many greatest young and so on,

sounding like perfect clones yet clones... the trade is nothing like it was these days

  • "Besides teaching and performing, Julia still practices regularly." (4:35)

What a weird thing to say!

  • She has strong muscles in her neck for sure, as shown when turning her pianists pages. You can't just hold a violin like that without them. She is definitly amazing and those words are such an understatment due her talent, it's as if she's a goddess in mortal form

  • yeah, turning the pianists page with one hand, playing with the other, haha, i mean: good gracious

  • haha shes confident and flexible

  • What is the piece at 2:00?

  • @handsomerob48 It's Tchaikovsky's Scherzo, Op. 42.

  • wow simply wow

  • funniest beginnig ever.. " SHE IS A VIRTUOSO " LOL the voice is so funny.

  • They could have mentioned that she's also a darned good pianist.

See her Grieg Concerto here on YT.

  • Tchkovsky's violin concert - lol

  • Happy Birthday, Julia!:)

  • Eine sehr sympatische Künstlerin

  • truly a wonderful artist. I am glad that she is still recording SACD's for Pentatone in surround sound. Multichannel playback is my favorite way to listen. With Julia and Pentatone together, I cannot think of a more excellent combination! Love her disc of Russian Violin Concertos. Now, If I could just save up the money to see her play live!

  • Wow musical talent only chose the fairests womens, that´s an extraordinary natural fact, or it´s just social discrimination !!!

  • Buho01extremist thank you!!

  • your welcome!! :D

  • what name 5:21? please!

  • It's the end of Winter of Vivaldi "the four seasons"

  • She is amazing.

  • HfM&Co.

  • good job Julia

  • just simply amazing

  • Caso alguem esteja interessado em saber qual é o nome daquela música que a Julia toca ao final com uma camisa regata preta, é uma música de tchaikovski "Souvenir d'un lieu cher" .

  • I'm in love!

  • Just when we may become discouraged with things that happen in the world, a brief glimpse into bearing witness to the pinacle of human excellence, for a moment, one can be moved and stirred with such positive emotion, that we come to realize we just may make it, afterall. Watching and listening to the results of someone as talented and special as Julia Fischer is an example of these brief moments of clarity in the light.

  • She is good but I don't like the pompous way in which she is introduced

  • sorry fire breath, but she is better than "good." Your post sounds pompous, if you don't mind me saying.

  • You can say whatever you want to mate. Personally, I think the introduction is a bit exaggerated and pompous but that's just my opinion. I do think she is a great violinist! ( you don't get named artist of the year at the grammophone awards in London if you are mediocre!) .

    cheers

  • I love to play my violin as well, simply because I love music, if Ic ould make a living by doing it, the money would be a blessing, but NEVER my reason for playing

  • She is wonderful! I have lived in Germany long time ago. How can I write to directly to this wonderfully exceptional talent, a genius, to discuss my findings from comparative study of Western and Indian classical music.?

  • HAY ALGO EN ESPAÑOL JAJAJJA

  • jaja

  • I also ALWAYS think in some piece of music... Whatever i'm doing... i'm thinking on some chopin music or beethoven, or whatever..

  • You must think on original music, thinking in music other composed has no sence! Only fun!!.........

  • So do you have new musics in your head? Wow, u're a virtuoso...

  • I´m a composer, as hundreds ones that every day make the popular music tunes you ever listen to, every person can create music.... the academic composers do the opposite in this days, they make the "tunes" u never will remember because they are a degeneration of the academic music, sorry for them i f they think they will be remembered in the future like mozart etc, the truth is that many of the opuplar producer and composer will in my opinion. Thanks!!

  • I agree o/

  • hahahahahahahahahahahhaahahahahahaha please

  • rtyurtyurtyu

  • hilary to MY EAR doesn't compare to julia fischer.. =\

  • Maybe, Maybe! Anyway I dont like both of them!

  • hey please!! she plays the violin for lovE! and not for money! i think that you say it 'cause u can't play any instrument!! and if they are playing the same for 400 years its because the music is the best thing in this world! (after God of course..)

  • right on davidofclay im a violinist and i know what its like to be judged by people

  • well iamvirusk, maybe these SAME THINGS are WORTH to be played for 400 years, as opposed to the organized noise that the kids listen to nowadays from bad quality cell phone speakers...

YOU go practise and do better than her and THEN talk about music like this!

    (thank you davidofclay!)

  • @Cosmic:

"Souvenir d'un lieu cher" von Tschaikowsky

Meiner Meinung nach spielt Julia Fischer gut, sehr gut. Aber Hilary erreicht sie in keiner Weise. Allerhöchstens vllt. in den interpretatorischen Vorstellung und der Bühnenshow. Aber der Ton... niemals so gut wie bei Hilary Hahn.

  • What is the name of the piece she's playing at the beginning with the pianist?

  • Oh, now I don´t know... I love Hilary Hahn´s play, but Julia Fischer is bery good too... What do you think? Who is better? Hilary or Julia?

  • Hilary is quite good, but she doesn't have nearly as much skill as Julia. I met Hilary Hahn one time (I played the Fiddeler in Fiddler on the Roof, and she helped me) and I know she can like nobody I've ever met. But still, no one can compare to JF...well, except Itzak Perlman.

  • this is for rachelliz284 : its the scherzo (2nd mvnt) of "Three pieces" (op 42) by Tchaikovski it's also called "Souvenir d'un lieu cher"

  • Thanks alot!!
