  • their is no road by their my grandpa and i got out of the car and walked and their was no road.. theirs nothing i think it is a mystary

  • For all you haters syfy's fact or faked did an investigation and came up with no evidence of a natural or man made explination. Note than fact or faked almost always finds things to be faked or atleast a natural phenomenon mistaken for something else.

  • @zacmyers23

MTU students went there and videoed the cars thru a telescope (which you watched, because you commented on the vid). Why didn't Fact of Faked bring a telescope or long glass? Why don't they tell you this was filmed for a low budget horror movie? The Fact or Faked "investigation" was a joke.

  • @burninbiomass Just dont buy it. Doesnt mean I think that its a ghost. Just dont think its headlights and tail lights. Atleast not only headlights and tail lights. there is more to it.

  • @zacmyers23

There really isn't any more to it. MTU shows you the cars. I've been there myself and I've seen the cars. Plus, I do believe in ghosts and the supernatural, so I'm not a skeptic (not to mention, if anyone says they don't know what it is but it isn't cars, they are actually the skeptics).

  • @burninbiomass the line of sight doesnt add up to me. but ive never looked down a teliscope at it either. plus 4.5 miles is a long way for lights to show that bright. I also believe in ghost so I'm not being a skeptic. But my curiosity is peaked by this. All im saying is the answer doesnt seem as simple as headlights.

  • @zacmyers23

You can see on a map where US 45 lines up. Its 5 to 7 miles, but yes, they can be that bright. It seems brighter because your in the woods in the UP, its really dark, and your eyes adjust (and the inversion layer that MTU talks about).

Take a telescope next time (a good one) and it will be as simple as headlights. Go before dark, so you can see the roads location in the distance.

Glad to hear you are curious, that's always a good thing!

  • Ha ha! Its called headlights and tail lights dumbasses! Theres was this invention thousands of years ago called a telescope. You should check it out.

  • WHOA!!!!!!!!

  • Another thing i must add is that if you take a string, rope, wire or what ever (power line which is shiny and reflects light) you string it up andshine a light on it.. now if you eye it up and look straight down it, it distorts the light making it seem like its much brighter and more concentrated that normal and as you move the light across it, it from a distance also gives the appearance of flickering and color distortions from greenish to blueish lights..

  • Ok let me make this clear, We used to go up there alot..Ive been to it about 12 times over the years. One time i went up there with my telescope, there were about 15 people i didnt know there, I set it up, and plain as day you can see a couple of things, cars driving towards and away from you, and coming from the south approaching that same road, cars pull up and stop before they turn left or right..Plain as frickin day...Everyone up there got there chance to see it and everyone agreed.

  • Guess what, morons, Fact or Faked and shows like that are run by retards. Michigan Tech has already proven it's headlights and tail lights. TV bad. Education good. STILL want to argue with me?

  • Clearly it is not Headlights and Tail Lights because they change colour and Size they also goes circle and goes Larger and then smaller so all you ssaying it is not it clearly is because they debunked all Highway 45

  • @StaTiiCk1 Thank you because mr fajitas doesnt think its real

  • it really is a waste of time to fight the idiots that believe its not headlights but still i continue to.. i was there.. i saw.. its HEADLIGHTS .. fact or fake is bs like damn near all supernatural shows.. they want to make people believe in the supernatural or they'd b out a job..

  • It's beautiful :O

  • Fact or faked

  • I know this looks like head and tail lights but its not. I saw this on fact or faked and they debunked the headlights. The cops shut down Hw 45 and it still appeared. They drove down hw45 and flashed their brights and nothing. Then it appeared after the lights were off. I think it has something to do with the power lines and fog, however its only visible from that vantage point so I'm stumped.

  • @roogdoog FOF was on the wrong stretch of 45. All you need to do is check out the video by MTU that shows clearly that the lights are cars going up and down the highway. Search MTU Paulding Light, see the video and then come back here and tell us you still believe this is not car lights.

  • And there is a reason fall/winter viewing is often the best. Cold winter air tends to be drier than the more humid air in the spring and summer. Dry, less humid, air holds less particulate matter (namely moisture) and is therefor more clear. The lights in the winter generally will appear more bright and clear as there is less light refraction due to moisture and particulate matter in the air.

  • Different atmospheric conditions can cause widely divergent viewing experiences and the fact that the lights are somewhere between 6 and 7 miles away only exacerbates it. Light refraction due to atmospheric conditions can cause all sorts of crazy optical trickery, especially from those distances. And YES, you can see car headlights from those distances quite easily, especially high beams. In fact the transition from high to low beams also explains why the lights brighten and dim randomly.

  • As for different patterns and colors, again it can be explained by traffic and light refraction. Colors: southbound car headlights will be bright and appear white (sometimes green) or cool blue as many of the new headlights are. Reds and oranges are explained by the tail lights of northbound cars and if you have north and southbound traffic in the same spot you'll see all sorts of wild color combos.

  • The reason the lights appear for longer periods than others is due to the traffic patterns. For instance there may be only one southbound car cresting the hill making the light appear very briefly. Other times you may have 3 or 4 cars one after another so when one car crests and moves below view the one behind it becomes instantly visible and so on and so on giving the illusion the light is appearing for a longer period.

  • Simply, if it were car headlights, it would repeat a pattern...white lights coming down and red lights going up, and length of time lights appear would be similar.

We have seen all variations of displays, boring to spectacular...sometimes actually driven off in fright. (Winter viewing seems the best)

  • If you go to Google Earth, highway 45 is in the DIRECT line of sight of the Robbins Pond road viewing spot and about 200 feet lower. If you look at the the topography, cars crest a small incline where the line of sight intersects. Light is diffused when it is angled when it first comes into view. And that's exactly what it looks like to me.

  • So I did go to this place to see this so called "ghost light" and was quite suprised because I actually thought that it was headlights. I'm an amateur ghost hunter and I usually try to debunk rather than prove. I had a friend stay at the famous viewing point and I drove to about 10 miles up 45. When I turned around I drove all the way back with my brights on and my headlights could not bee seen. It's not headlights. I didn't do anymore testing so it is possible to be something else entirely.

  • @1sht1kll

Yea, its headlights, you need a friend who will stay awake to watch :)

You can stand at the viewing spot with long glass and see the road and cars. Even if you don't have the equipment like Michigan Tech did when they went there and debunked this. If you look up the vid "Paulding Light.wmv" you can see a good investigation can be done without much money or equipment.

  • its true it waz on Myth busters and they thought it waz headlights as well but it ended up they didnt know wat it waz and there is a railroad story to go wit it so ha it is real any1 who dont believe me can message me for proof

  • They are headlights. Search for this in Google: "Just in time for Halloween: Michigan Tech Students Solve the Mystery of the Paulding Light".

  • To all those arrogant people who think this is headlights you could not be more wrong. The headlights cannot stretch that far from the highway and when the lights are turned off, the light still appeared.

  • I just would like to say that some people on the comments are retarded lol. Those are not car lights..... yes you can park your car there but once you cut on the lights to your car, it doesnt illuminate and if it was a car how is it that the light is getting close to the viewers and noone is going down the road?

  • To everyone saying these are headlights, there is not a highway or a road for several miles anywhere around this. It has been studied extensively, and no scientist has yet been able to prove what it is. But it HAS been proven to not be headlights. Is it supernatural? Probably not. Is it headlights? Absolutely not.

  • @Ophelia523

The car lights are on a stretch of 45 that is 5 to 7 miles from the viewing spot.

No one has proven that the light ISNT car lights. Fact or Faked only shown they could not recreate the light, which only speaks to their inability and is proof of nothing.

Many have proven the light is car lights, you can see an investigation and the cars in the vid "Unraveling the Paulding light mystery" . These guys did recreate the light with cars, and show you the cars thru a telescope.

  • @burninbiomass Yeah, and headlights are THAT bright from 5 to 7 miles away. Honestly, just use common sense.

  • @IceClanSuperclan

Yes, the lights are that bright from 5 to 7 miles away. Even like on this video when you are zoomed in and over exposing.

  • that big light is a train

  • u guy are all so damn dumb ive been there and those are not head lights or tail lights when u get there u can hear cars at night but u can't see there lights ok dumb fucks

  • @brazeification Even the crew of SyFy's "Fact or Faked" could'nt debunk it--Hell, with SyFy's money to allow their tech research, and STILL come up EMPTY?? I LOVE IT,and hold RESPECT for annomolies like this..}:)

  • Sorry Yoopers put down the beers and look at them in a normal stateit"s been debunked.

  • @tsadummy and fuck u were aren even close to being as hickish as alabama, or kansas or texas so shut your punk ass up ok

  • its not fucking headlights STUPIDDDDDDD!

  • Fact or Faked on SyFy-- could NOT debunk this strange anamoly..

  • Watch fact or faked, they studied cars and planes...both bust!

  • Lol, you can clearly see the cars going down the road. It is only 4.5 miles away. That is nothing. Do people really believe this is something else, or are they just kidding? This video is the most conclusive evidence of car lights i ever saw of this myth.

  • Comment removed

  • There not headlights people have tried but no light from a car or such reaches that far there trees in the way so if ir were a car the trees would block it

  • Yeah headlights were actually disproven so anyone that believes its headlights is fuckin retarded.

  • I wish everyone who comments on headlights and cars could have grown up 20 miles from this! If you seen where the highway is in relation to the light you would understand. THEY ARE NOT HEADLIGHTS AND TAILLIGHTS! UNSOLVED MYSTERIES, C'MON PEOPLE!!!

  • @sgtnard Exactly. I live really close to it, and can safely say they are not headlights.

  • @MaximumRideFan23 THANK YOU!!

  • This video CLEARLY shows this is headlights. the red lights (one or many) all appear to go from bottom to top, indicating they are driving away up an incline. the white lights (one or many) all travel from top to bottom, indicating they are driving towards the viewing point, down the incline.

this is why there are NO white lights goin from bottom to top, or red lights that go top to bottom, bc that would driving the wrong way

there's nothing in this video that proves the above otherwise.

  • seen it. i do believe it. first time i went was during a blizzard. drove 2 hours to see it and that whole time not one car passed us. and when the light came it was more than one light, and there was different colors. Blue, red, green, and then after them came this bright white light. after 2hrs of waitn again it came but it was just one BLUE light. then that was it.

  • look i live in paulding this is no headlights. its a ghost....... if u go thurr u will shit ur pants

  • The light has been seen as far back as 1870, 20 years before the first car. I want someone to explain that...

  • @000Bob000jones000

Easy one to explain, it hasn't been seen back that long. The first reported viewing was in 1960's.

  • @burninbiomass I can tell you've never been there...it has been seen that far back, or so they say...

  • @000Bob000jones000

Sorry Bob, I've been there and saw the cars.

The going back to the 1800's thing is urban myth, just like those who say "Ripley's have offered a reward" or "National Geographic did an article on it" or "it was on the national TV show Unsolved Mysteries", all wrong. The 60's are the first reported sitings.

  • @shagglesiam when you see it in person, it's hard to believe that it's headlights.

  • i see somethng red it cant be the mothman with the pulding lihgt that things is bright

  • because cars travel random not on a schedule. The red lights are the taillights of cars going. been to the U.P for years. its an attraction for all to enjoy but most of us know what it really is even when the trail lines up with the road at the end there. Either way a nice tourist spot to visit.lol

  • If it was headlights, why cant you see it as soon as it goes dark, and the light just appears randomely at any time.

  • @vQuaLitYx Why does the "light" appear randomly at any time? Um, because cars tend to appear randomly and at any time. GOD some of you people are really DUMB!

  • I was just there and it's so obviously headlights/tail lights on hwy 45 several miles away.

  • @VenisonFajitas And, while the area isn't very heavily populated and there isn't heavy traffic on the roads, I was surprised at the number of cars on the road both on our way to and from Paulding. So, yes, there are definitely enough cars on the road to make the lights appear often enough to keep people interested. Hell, the traffic is probably suckers on their way to and from Paulding to see the "mysterious lights".

  • @VenisonFajitas Sure, that's what a BORING skeptic might say, dude ghosts are real.

  • @VenisonFajitas no its not they shut down the highway and all the way back for over 20 miles and checked it and they still appeared. and they closed the highway again on fact or faked paranormal files

  • @MrSeabo10

They did NOT shut the highway down for 20 miles! LOL

"Fact or Faked" shut a small section of 45 down at the wrong place. Look at the MTU video, they show you the cars and the road.

  • when the accident happened then the friction between the gates of our world and the unseen natural world open accidentally, and therefore the light that emerged due to the friction between the two world itself, such as the friction of two flint that issued the fire ... it is very difficult to explain even I was not able to notify a significantly because of evidence can only see through my supernatural abilities, there will not be scientists who will be able to describe it .. believe me!!!!

  • Wow. The denial... Just, wow...

  • My Dads Friends Randy And Jay Saw This !!! :O That Aint HeadLights !

  • FACT OR FAKED PROVED THAT IT WAS NOT HEADLIGHTS!! ACCEPT THE TRUTH ITS A GHOST AND MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIVES AND STOP BEING TROLLS!

  • i saw this about 15yrs ago. It is weird. I don'tsee how it can be headlights.. You have to see it in person to appreciate it.

  • Around what time is the best time to view the light? My friend and I were gonna take a trip there but we have to first figure out what time it's at so we can figure out when to leave..

  • @DanielleUSAF182

Right at dusk is a good time, traffic is heaver earlier in the evening (plus, if your a little worried about finding the viewing spot, a little light around will help!). Later in the evening the lights get more sparse because the traffic thins out.

  • In 1999,there was less cars

  • Just saying i think this one is cars. But explain them being seen when the police closed the highway for the Fact or Faked crew.

  • @Matty5122

Fact or Faked shut down the wrong part of the road. The hill the cars is on is 5 to 7 miles away, you walk to that hill, you will see the cars quite well.

  • Too all you people saying it is headlight explain why when people go to the top of the hill they see nothing no cars.

  • I can verify that it is, in fact, headlights. A crew of us went up with a high power telescope about ten years ago to examine this. Needless to say, we were disappointed.

  • electric cable???

  • any idiot can tell its headlights.. n red tail lights.. me and my friends went there once and could tell right away!! what a waste of time!!

  • @aloneibreak4eva On SyFy there is a show called Fact or Faked. On that show, it was proven that it was NOT headlights. They declared that this case is still unexplained.

  • @aloneibreak4eva It was not Headlights. If you would of watch Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files they tried to recreate with Headlights and they were unable to. When they turned the lights off the Light was still there.

  • @aloneibreak4eva its not headlights, it has been confirmed as a natural phenomenon, tho the reason is unknown. Headlights are not visible from where the light occur. The show 'fact or faked' tested the airplane and headlight theories and could never produce any light in the location, then the lights occurred for them with the road completely shut down.

  • i beleive it's real because if it was headlights it wouldn't be that bright and it would be moving in a different way that it is...just saying...and im probably going to have someone argue with me so go right a head

  • Has anyone ever walked towards it? If not, you know someone will.

  • guy's please stop fighting!!!!!....your scaring me!!!!

oh ya....that's right redneck said it's spelled YOU'RE.

  • I've heard the claim many times that the "Paulding Light" has been witnessed "since the 1800s". This is simply NOT TRUE. The first documented sightings were in the mid-1960s, not coincidentally around the time that Highway 45 was re-routed giving the current viewpoint at the end of Robbins Pond Road a direct line of sight to cars heading up and down the highway about 8 miles to the North. Do some research and you will find that the claims of pre-1960s sightings to be completely unfounded.

  • I refuse to directly address the deniers.

"every time a car passed by" - so, you're saying a car "passed by" coming HEAD ON - which it would have to do to produce this light - AND that it didn't pass but rather sat and STAYED IN ONE POSITION for a minute or two, just shining its headlights head on. AND, that car drivers REPEATEDLY did this on many different nights. Oh, and these cars had RED front lights, too, right?

Show me the peer-reviewed science articles..

  • @mphello ... where the physical experiment is repeated. However, even THAT would not be good enough, because, that would be like physically re-enacting a crime with actors, but not capturing the murderer herself. The experiment would prove only a POSSIBILITY, but it would NOT rule out all others.

To do that, you would have to track down the names of each of these mysterious car drivers who park their cars for a minute and shine their headlights this way.

  • @mphello

The cars are on a hill miles away, it takes them awhile to move down and out of sight (plus another car can come behind it, making you think its the same light). Red lights are tail lights, which should be obvious. This is just normal traffic on 45.

You don't need peer reviewed science articles when you can see the thing. You can go there with a telescope or strong binoculars and see the cars and road. Search "Unraveling the Paulding light mystery", its all there.

  • @shagglesiam Oh really, it's been proven to be headlights? Then how do your friends at MTU explain the fact that people have been seeing this light since the early 1800s, which is obviously way before automobiles. Just because you don't have the openess to accept that not everything has a scientific explaination doesn't mean that you're right. It really just means that you don't have the capacity to fathom the unknown. There's no need to be a jerk about it.

  • @Sn4keD0kkt0r I "love" these arrogant assholes who casually throw the word "proof / proven" around, without having a clue what those mean (I'm a mathematician, so I know all about proof) and cite non-existent peer-reviewed scientitic literature that they claim supports their "conclusion" that anomalous unexplained events like this are swamp gas or headlights.

I have a better explanation: it's their mothers spreading their legs apart hoping for a free gynecological exam.

  • Dear All, I've ran tests with the headlight story, and i had the road closed, by the Michigan Police, and had vehicles run down HWY 45, and they did not show up, and yes, we used high and low beams, and big offroad lights as well. the headlight theory dosent explain the reason that the light is always there, never dissapearing, when a road like that dosent have any traffic at 3 AM. so it is clearly still un-solved.

  • @4431prw

HAHAHAHA... even if you got the police to shut down a road (of course you didn't, if you don't think the light ever disappears, you were not even there, it comes and goes), it would be a waste of time since you can see the cars and the road with a telescope from the viewing area. See the vid "Unraveling the Paulding light mystery" or the vid "Paulding Light" by the uploader 0beron. This is solved and buried.

  • where is this?

  • LMAO These guys are reacting to fucking headlights! Fucking hilarious!

  • @TheAmrator LMAO actually go there, trust me i know theres not that much traffic there, acutall bearly any, so haha

  • @TheAmrator Thoose Arnt HeadLights.. Cause My Dads Friends Have Seen The Pauldign Light

  • @quinnandpaige my mom has seen the pauldign light too! it doesnt make a F@$%ing diffrence!

  • @TheAmrator Not headlights...

  • @TheAmrator this is not a headlight. watch a show called fact or faked on sy-fy channel, this was investigated by them and it is a light that just appears and nothing is there. im not saying it cant be explained but there is no answer for it according to the show. it is not a headlight though, that was disproven.

  • @TheAmrator watch how the people on Fact or Faked proved it wasnt headlights.......

  • @MrMinkju

Look for the Youtube vid "unraveling The Paulding light mystery" ... and watch how a REAL investigation (done by decent investigators from Michigan Tech, not actors) proved it is car lights.

  • @TheAmrator Dude how the fuck can these be headlights? Faked or Faked did an experiment on this. The blocked the highway. There was not 1 headlight. They still saw it. They did every possible theory. They still can't find the answer. Good day.

  • @TheAmrator if it's headlights why don't they move when the car moves on the road?

  • I REALLY want to "Hump" that girl who said "I don't see anything"! She is THE smartest person in this video! Sounds hot and I'm sure she isn't tarded from her comment! YEAH!!!

  • This site(Location) is STRICTLY for alcoholic Yoopers!!! LOL! I enjoyed it too! With booze! I'm a 'troll' but LOVE my JOOSE!!! :) Fun place to be buzzed! Don't expect to see Casper though!

  • i am going to michigan to look or the answer to the paulding light, but i need an eyewitness. please, i would rely need one for this expidition.

  • Search "unraveling the paulding light" simple . come on people.

  • 4 lights = 2 cars.

Darmok and Jalad at Paulding, when the urban legend fell.

  • @burninbiomass I see what you did there.

  • THERE ARE...FOUR...LIGHTS!... And not one of them looks like headlights.

  • Fact or Fake proved this isnt headlights or a plane so the stoners at MTU have no clue what they are talking about..The did a bunch of tests with airplanes and cars none of them proved the light was a fake..

  • those people are so stupid. the only smart one in this video is the guy that says they are cars. LOL.

  • The Mtu people say it's a car, but fact or faked try to mimic it my going down the road were the line of sight is and they couldn't replicate it?

  • @The360dot

MTU filmed the cars in the spot thru a telescope. They saw the spot, and drove a car there, and saw that car.

Fact or Faked closed down the wrong part of the road. FoF couldn't replicate the car light because they are inept, not because its not car lights.

  • @shagglesiam What evidence did they get?

  • really headlights? no its been tested and proved that any car's headlights on the road in the direction of the light cannot be seen from that spot and ya thumbs up to the fact or faked marathon today lol

  • @bpm03 dude, it hasn't been "proved" that car's headlights on the road in the direction of the light cannot be seen from that spot. Why? Because it IS headlights. Google "Michigan Tech Paulding Lights" and watch the video they made. They used a telescope to show that it's car headlights. They even found the exact spot that the lights were coming from and every time a car passed by, the lights appeared. Just because a silly show on SyFy did a crap job of investigating doesn't mean it's true.

  • thumbs up if you are watching the Facted or Faked Marathon on SyFy todat 4/24/11

  • It pretty much looks like headlights... especially the red lights. Kind of a ridiculous urban legend.

  • Is there really that many Head lights on that highway for that long preiod of time to continue to make that affect

    ?

  • it has to be a airplane but the storis are true

  • @mtt14choco no i just whached this on fact or faked and it was unsoved and they even tested it on a plane

  • @coolseannie i justed watched FACT or FAKE okay like at 12 am to 1 am they tried alot of things and can't belive that when they went close to the light it wasn't thier like wtf

  • right good vidieo lionstar but fact or fake tried this but when they went close to it they found nothing

  • Fact or Faked Tried The Car Experiment. But it Seems they Tried it In the Wrong Place. Thats not Their Fault. Stop Bashing Them.

    MTU Students Proved it.

They Zoomed in on the light with a Huge Telescope And this is what they Saw

    Google the video lol

  • The most common explanation is that it is car headlights from the 45 highway facing directly to the site they are at. And the red lights are the rear lights. The thing is, i dont get how it could get closer and closer

  • GUYS LISTEN

IN FAKED ORE FAKED THEY TRIED ALL THINGS

    CARS,PLAINES,GAS FIRE EVERTHING!

THIS ISTN FAKE, SOME PEOPLE WIL NEVER YEST COME UP WITH A STORY

YEST BECAUS YOU CAN SEE REDLIGHTS THAT CAN BEE SOME PART OG THE LIGHTS, DOSENT MATTER IF YOU DONT BELIVE IT, THEN FUCK OF!

  • on google earth the road I told you about is 1800-2000m away from me... I can see headlights... so you will tell me that at this specific spot you can see car headlights making such a effect because of some heat reflection? from 7-10km distance? sorry but I dont believe that.

I believe this is a natural phenomena and I like to go there and check it out myself.

  • @ExpeditionMystery

2000M is 1.24 miles. The car lights from this spot are 5 to 7 miles away.

Yes, you can see car headlights that far away.

  • Comment removed

  • its true you can see headlights and rearlights from cars if you look in that direction from an specific angle but the Paulding Light appears a little bit left from the road and is much brighter and more pulsative then an static car headlight.

  • Fact or Faked Season 1 Episode 5, they proved that this light is no car headlight or an airplane. They let the police close the street and tested the headlight theory and failed to duplicate the light effect but the light appeared when the street was closed.

Only explanation left: natural phenomena or paranormal

  • @ExpeditionMystery

No, Fact or Faked said they could not reproduce the light. That speaks to their inability to to figure it out, it does not speak to whether the light is a car.

MTU (Michigan Tech) went there and did recreate the light with cars, not to mention seeing them thru a telescope.

As I said before, I believe in the paranormal, this isn't a case of it.

  • @burninbiomass

I live near an airport and I know how bright the tower light is. I live in an apartment at the 6th floor and I can look at a road 2km away and i never saw a car headlight that looks like that. Even a normal high beam light is no so bright.

when this phenomena is caused by a car headlight than it has to be a xenon high beam and I dont believe that every night a car with such a high beam light drives this road there. But even a xenon light is not pulsativ.

  • @burninbiomass

Sometimes a car shines from this 2km away road shines into my room with high beam headlights but only a short moment because cars lights are focused on the street and shines to the front and did not look like a gas flame. so you can not explain this pulsative light with car head lights.

  • @ExpeditionMystery

It pulsates because of atmospheric refraction. Like how the lights of a city or a car in the distance twinkles because of heat/gas rising between you and the car light.

I have been there and saw the cars. Anyone who goes there with a telescope or strong binoculars can see the cars.

I understand your enthusiasm to believe in the unexplained, but again, this inst it.

  • @burninbiomass

have you ever see an airplane with all lights on? these lights are fucking bright but not pulsative, even in fog, smog or in summer heat. I know how car lights can look like on a road in summer but they not look pulsative. I agree that you can see car lights from that distance very well but this pulsative is unlike any car lights. I think when this light is really caused by a car then there has to be any kind of gas pooring out of the ground between the view point and the road

  • @ExpeditionMystery

I was there, saw the cars thru my lens, and say that car light twinkling, just like lights in a distance can do. There is no ball of light created, its just the headlights refracted.

Of course I have seen airplane lights twinkling in the distance, I don't know why you haven't. But even more than the airplanes, the car lights are (by their nature) closer to the ground, where heat and gasses rise from (not to mention the whole town of Paulding that you are looking over).

I live in Duesseldorf a town with 600.000 citizen and an international airport in view distance (4km) and I never saw a light reflection like that and I can watch over the whole airport and half the city till horizon from my balcony.

So when this effect is caused by car headlights, there has to be more then just a heat reflection. on the MTU page they say the road is 7-10km away. The only light I see which is so bright is the light of the airport tower... 3km away

  • @ExpeditionMystery

4k is closer than 4 to 7 miles, and a plane has stronger light. Look for the planes when they are further out. I have seen plane lights twinkling in Milwaukee.

I think you are confused by the light in this vid (which is zoomed in but out of focus and badly shot). Look at the other vids by people who have been there (including Fact or Faked's own shot vid), the actual light is not this dramatic or large when you are standing there.

  • @burninbiomass

Maybe it is a combination of car lights and natural phenomena. If there is gas pooring out of the ground maybe to car lights and the the power line and the gas reacts to each other causing a ball of light as long the car lights shines to a specific point.

  • wow, is that suppose to be the spectacle? All I see was red lights from cars.

  • Shut up. It's a glitch in the Matrix !

  • I agree with the headlight/taillight theory. If you look close enough you can see the 2 rear tailights when the car is moving away. And the lights always follow a set path - ie the course of the road. Highbeam headlights would explain the dazzling white lights as they are dipped then full etc. Sorry nothing paranormal about them.

  • @marcusread But didn't they proof that its not Headlight ? on Fact or Faked (a show)

  • @Vortex93 nop, they even didn't use the telescope.

  • @vulcanus30 But i mean they closed down the road, so there wasn't any car passing on that road... yet there's that light that appears :S ..

  • @Vortex93

    exactly!

  • @Vortex93

Fact or Faked closed down a small part of the road, the wrong part. The only thing they proved is that they were inept.

MTU saw the spot thru a telescope and drove a car there.

  • they arnt headlights lol fact of fake tried to debunk it and there is no way they are headlights

  • Absolut amazing!!!!

  • @shagglesiam Dude it's impossible be headlights, the traffic on this road isn't so intense to keep this light so big and shinny, MTU my ass, show me a video that proves it.

Not headlights or airplanes, just something strange, up if you agree .-.

  • @shagglesiam your stupid, and your still a virgin, your scientifically proven DUMBASS

  • Why the fuck this can't manual focus. What an idiot

  • @shagglesiam In 2010, the Paulding Light was featured on the SyFy television show Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files. The investigators were depicted trying several experiments in an unsuccessful attempt to recreate the light, including using car headlights from a nearby road and a flyover by an airplane with a spotlight.

    that's from wikipedia.

I saw this episode from Fact or Faked yesterday, it isn't headlights or something natural.

  • @TheNickHollywood

Yes, thats in Wiki under the heading "Media Coverage" . It says that FoF were "unsuccessful" in trying to recreate the light. Doesn't mean the light isn't cars, it just says FoF weren't able to figure it out.

Right above that part, under the heading "Scientific Investigation" it tells you that MTU went there and saw cars with a telescope. Plus they WERE able to recreate the light by driving a car to the spot.

  • Freaking iPad spellchecker not Dufy SYFY

  • Headlights off n/s 45, it's not super natural, and I believe in ghosts. On the wiki page about this Michigan tech students were able to duplicate it and then were able to verify via high low beams going off and syncing up with the lights. That Dufy team is run by retards and have no idea how to debunk things.

  • It isn't car lights because my patents were there and they saw it and when I watched fact or faked the light came on when no one was on the road also when the paulding light is on you can see the cars go over and obviously see that it isn't them u can also look into the road more and see that the road isn't the most popular that is why it CAN'T be explained and why it is real

  • @shagglesiam Scientifically proven to NOT be headlights by Fact vs Faked. Nice try though.

  • every time the mysterious light appears, it appears in the upper left corner of its appearing area then moves slowly to the bottom right corner where it disappears...

if you look at 1:04 you can see the two headlights of a car for a very short moment...

the red lights you can also see in this video are just the backlights of cars which take the other way of the road...

how else can see the headlights at 1:04??

  • IT IS NOT CAR LIGHTS! HOW DOES THAT LOOK LIKE CAR LIGHTS TO YOU?! ON THIS TV SHOW I WAS WATCHING THEY WENT ON THE HIGHWAY AND EVEN WHEN NO CARS WERE THERE THEY STILL SAW THE LIGHT. SO I DONT CARE WHAT ANY OF YOU PEOPLE SAY BECAUSE NONE OF YOU HONESTLY KNOW! YOU ALL THINK YOU KNOW EVERYTHING AND THERES AN EXPLAINATION FOR EVERYTHING! WHO SAYS THERE HAS TO BE ONE? YOU? CAUSE I DOUBT YOUR IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO SAY THAT !!!

  • @conversepolkadot

Yes, its car lights. Went there and saw them myself, so yes I honestly know. Again, the TV show shut down the wrong part of the road.

I don't think there is an explanation for "everything" that happens in the world (I personally believe in paranormal activities), but we shouldn't put our head in the ground over things that do have an explanation.

  • @conversepolkadot I agreed with you until you said, "CAUSE I DOUBT YOUR IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO SAY THAT". You're an asshole.
