Lucchesi is a good sculptor but I am afraid his best work was the pieces he did in the late 60's and early 70's. Don't know what happened after that. Even this demonstration piece, which is nice, is not up to the caliber of what he is could once do.
My Maternal Grandmother's maiden name was "Lucas," and she was born in America, but her Father, Giuseppe Lucchesi, changed the surname in the U.S. from "Lucchesi" to "Lucas." My Great-Grandfather Giuseppe Lucchesi was from Bedizzano, Italy where his Father Antonio owned and operated marble-mountain quarries. I have spoken to Bruno Lucchesi on the phone.

His books have been perhaps my most important tools of all. Thank you Mr. Lucchesi for being such an inspiration to me for almost twenty years now.

Um... well, he IS after all almost 40 years OLDER than he was in the "60s and 70s"
Like the long distance gold medal winning runner who is now in his 80's- ya get older and cant do what you DID 40 years ago!
