The kid is the real deal. Travel ball in southern cal is huge, with many 10's throwing 60+, hitting 250' shots, etc. I saw Robert Stock, who was 5' 10" (I stood next to him), hit a ball into a street, that I later measured at 325' in a 12 year old tournament years ago (he was also 78-80 on the gun). Kids are just big and strong, and/or gifted with great reflexes and instincts like Markus, at young ages these days. Markus is a player!

There are teams from Kansas, Florida, & Louisiana in World Series. There is some awesome talented players in USSSA & Super Series baseball that do not get to showcase their talent on National TV like Little League World Series does. Yes this kid from Canada hit a ball further then anyone I've seen..He can pitch too..He was clocked by the coaches at 55mph..He moed us down..Struck out 10 in a row..They took him out in the 7th inning after he hit his pitch count..3IP 10SO..The catcher missed a 3rd strike and he ended up striking out 10 batters in 3IP...The kid was amazing..

he is really good for a 10 yr. old but when i was 10, i was 4'2 and every game i would steal home, i would hit the fence on a fly, robbed 3 home runs in 10 games, i play center field and threw 12 kids out at home in 10 games, and won the championship and i was the MVP. Now i am 12 and play 50-70 and now i steal home on a straight steal, hit inside the park and over the fence homeruns, and lay out like crazy for flyballs. i am only 4'6 now. But once again he is pretty good.

I think this kid is amazing. I coach help coach a group of 10 year olds and they play 12 and under. They may not have his speed but they are just as tough as this kid. I'm not trying to bad on you, but who ranked him one of the top 10 year old in AAU. im just curious, because we play USSSA and we have kids who can play infield without taking a knee and have stronger arms.

thats pretty amazing at 1:20 he rounded that base perfectly and at that level he probly doesnt understand how important that is (dont want to put words in his mouth just a thought) but im 14 playing on a 15u team and we play against 16u and i sometimes still have to studder step around second that was really good i would like to see him in the future keep me posted please and thank you

fielding at shortstop: try not to get down on one knee fielding a ground ball. if theres a bad hop, u dont have a great chance of making the play. Ur pretty good for 11 years old. keep it up!

He is pretty good. I am not trying to tear your son down, but just be reasonable is all. He does not play in a little league system. My son is also 10 and plays with kids that are almost 13 because little league. Last year as 9 he batted 467 with a grand slam and a couple of homers. This year as 10 he has a few triples and is batting at 350. He plays 3rd, short and pitches. Throws between 50 and 60. I do not even consider him as good as you are making your son out to be.

I am not making my son out to be anything. I simply said that I feel that he is one of the best 10 year old. When he was10 he batted 847 with only 1 strike out. He was batting 1st but was moved to 4th because of his hitting ability . He led the team in BA, OB%, Triples, Doubles, Singles and had 10 HR. He is 2X MVP of state tournament (9 & 10) He plays every position and pitches between 50-60. It is not his fault that people consider the league that he plays in or the kids he plays weak.

USSSA is such a small segment of the baseball population.. No offense taken. I put videos of all of his accomplishments in sports on here because it shows how proud of him I am. For you to make a statement to say that every kid on the planet who plays baseball can steal would imply that you have met them and seen all of them do it. I seriously doubt that you have. Stealing a base is about speed and a player's ability to know that his speed is better than the catcher or the pitcher's throw and everyone doesn't have it. Thank you for your comment.

I have no doubt that U have not seen at least 1 player not steal a base in 5 years. That's not what U said N your post. My Point: 2 U it's only a stolen base but 2 ME it's more than that. Sealing a base puts UR speed & ability against that of the Catcher & Pitcher. What I don't understand is WHY does the videos bother U when U had the option NOT 2 watch them. Great hitting and base running. Able to clear the fence and can run fast enough to get an in-the-park homer as well. He's got accurate throws to first to beat the runner. Nice heads-up play at first when he tagged the runner and the diving catches show he's got heart. Keep up the practice Markus!
