@jrichio Sorry I missed your post till now. Brown throats can be stubborn little birds. With parrots, you need to try to redirect them to stop bad behavior. See if their is a P.E.A.C. near you. They have seminars that would help.
Too bad the adoptedparrot forum doesn't seem to exist anymore. I've had Kahn, my Brown Throat since May 1991, when he was 3 months old. He is quite the little character too. I've also got a Sun (Summer) who I got in May 1993 at 3 months old. She's a cuddle-bug and a half.
lucky bird is beautiful. I want a conure down the road, right now have too much going on, and the one starling is enough, lol. how many kinds of conures are there? ive only seen the brown throated and suns.

Lots of conures to choose from, most can be noisy, not like your little guy! Suns are the louldest, brown throats not as bad, but quite an attitude.
