i can do it in 4:48 on my fury warrior, just rush to bosses, skip all adds, one hit bosses do baron and boom, so far 13 runs and no mount, figuring its around 20 runs away atleast, gives me something to look forward to, i do 5 runs per night.

The baron mount is a kinda status symbol, it looks better than the DK mount if the player has a full set of tier gear, and just for the pure geek cred =D

its not that hard to get now. it used to be a 1 in 1 mil chance or something like that but blizz have made it a lot easier to get, sumthing like 1 in 1000 so ul c more and more ppl with these.

i found the best way to farm the mount is ge 5 level 80 death knights u can get the run in about 5 minutes and me and my friends all got the mount in 20 hours =)

So I've ran this a lot for the mount. And no drop. I have been trying to get the run specifically on my Death Knight because all my other character's over 70 I don't really like that much. But what is a way to speed this run up? Each run for me takes 15-20 minutes. I take the side gate... I need some tips. Help me out please!!

Well, the entire run is presented here without any speedups, so I guess you could start by studying the video. The most important thing is to get a good feel for the mobs' agro radius. At lvl 80, it's small enough that you can avoid fighting anything but the bosses and acolytes until you reach the slaughterhouse.

lol, I'd say 2 orbs of deception are fair compensation for an abomination glitch :D

As for my enemy dodging - no, I'm not invisible. I'm running a level 60 dungeon at level 80, so the enemies' agro radius is quite small. I was just extremely careful and made sure to keep just enough distance from the mobs. You sort of get a feel for it when you run the dungeon a bunch of times.

I've had somethingl ike that.. the abominations. It gets hella annoying.. but I had it once where I killed the right side first (pretty sure it was right..).. then went to the left. Last one I killed dropped an orb of deception (=DDD) Then they all respawned again... and dropped the same loot... haha 2 orb of deceptions.. 1 run... I was a happeh camper ^_^

Have ran this 79 times so far and still no mount, saw the epic runeblade drop once. Will definatally be back at it once server maintnence is up. But 79 times and no luck. Had the abominations bug out on me 3 times, 2 of the 3 times the doors to baron rivendare do not open and was forced to hearth without even getting to kill him, the one time the abominatinos all respawned and had to be killed. Somebody pass on some of the good luck...

I've heard that the abominations can bug if they manage to walk to the slaughterhouse gate. To prevent this from happening, take out the abominations on the right side first, since they're the first ones who will patrol towards the gate. Just make sure to keep an eye out and prevent any from slipping past you. After you finish off the ones on the right side, there should be plenty of time before the ones on the left even try to patrol to the gate, so you should be home free by then.

kewl vid i solo this trying 2 farm for the mount i did it on my lvl 72 dk but i did it about 25 times and soon got bored with it and gave up but im thinking about doing it again. anyway nice vid 5/5

when lich king came out I created a DK just to try but at lvl 60 I got stuck since I wanted to play my lvl 70 druid. Now that druid is lvl 80 and then I thought "Why not get the warlock to lvl 80 too?" but after 2 lvls (lvl 72) I got boored and instead played on alts. First my rogue for 6 lvls (to 45) and then I gave my DK a second try.

Now I love him, prob gona be my next lvl 80 (he's lvl 64 now) and I think I'll be lvl 80 in a few days)

That's the Unholy talent Shadow of Death. Upon death, the DK immediately re-pops as a ghoul. One of the ghoul's ability is to self-explode.

As a neat little bonus, I got his runeblade at around the 30th run. Perhaps I should use these items to confuse noob deathknights ;P

Thanks for sharing this! I've done this with my 70 hunter but working on leveling a death knight to 80 and would like to give it a try with her.

Out of curiosity, what spec was your DK when you did this run?

I'm unholy, which has very nice AOE grinding capabilities as you saw in the single pull against all the abominations. Any spec deathknight should be able to run it with little or no downtime though. I used to be blood, and my route was pretty much the same, except I would just quickly kill off the abominations 1 by 1 instead of pulling the whole group.

Nice video, impressive that you can do the aboms in one pull and straight into Ramstein with no down time - my only criticism would be that the video is clear but extremely dark, just might be something to consider for your next compilation. Aside from that, great job and good luck with the mount!

Very nicely done. After watching this I'm considering leveling up a bit, to 76 or so before continuing my grind for the mount...an extra 4 levels would make my grind that much easier. Even at 72 I might try snagging 4 or 5 big guys at a time to see what happens, I hate drinking and eating after every one. With Ret aura, consecration, and my undead AoE I bet I could take on at least 5 at once...might have to try.
