  • interesting. is it a save area to drive in???

  • @MATTBOBVV As far as crime goes, it's as safe as any other city. As far as driving goes, you just need to go with the flow and expect the unexpected!

  • Thanks for taking me along Tbilisi's streets. :) Doesn't seem any different from driving in other ex-soviet cities. But then again I've just come back from a car holiday to Belarus, Ukraine, and Moldova. Kiev is crazy, yes, but doable if you have patience. The streets' surface seems OK? Is it better than Ukraine then?

  • @onkafoe Apparently the standards of driving have improved a lot here in recent years, with a crackdown on corruption and enforcement for traffic laws. I was in Kiev in June 2008 and the driving there was a lot worse as people would regularly ignore red lights, drive on the wrong side of the road and even along pavements/sidewalks.

Tbilisi is a really nice city. It's a bit more rough around the edges than Kiev in places, but extremely picturesque and very pleasant to walk around the centre.

  • kinda reminds me of paris in the 70s

  • Good job ;) Most foreigners can't drive in Georgia as they find it too hard :)

  • Thanks for ride. It was nice to see places where I have been more than six years ago. I lived seven months in Tbilisi (working).
