@coolguatemalan08 Best I can tell you is it will vary depending on tire selection, weight over the rear axle, surface base, and type of snowfall you are moving. I run BFG All-Terrain TKO tires with no less than half tread, and keep approx. 1100lbs of sand in the box in plastic cat litter buckets. Obviously, an ice-covered base is harder to move on than a lot that was totally clear before a new snowfall. A good, wet snow will make it nearly as tough as plowing snow on ice, too.
Hello, Just seen the vid, have a 97 F150 2WD and just got a free snowbear plow 7'... live in RI and was wondering how ,much snow you can move with this plow.
i plow with a 89 F150 beefed up a bit but i have no problems, weight and chains and i can plow all day long just need to be a good drivers only pussys use 4X4!
even pro's won't deny it's possible to plow with a RWD...just isn't commercially viable and if a cop checks your specs after an accident...your hooped...
I've plowed tons of snow with my 2wd dakota and never had any trouble. Plow with the storm, not after it and be sensible. After all, what did they use back when jeeps were the only 4x4s and guys plowed with pickups?!
You cant plow with a two wheel drive you silly son of a bitch, how bout we hook up, you give me your plow and i will kick you in the nuts and we will call it even?
First. Me, a silly son of a bitch? Umm, I never resorted to name calling (Looks silly and downright rude to do that-- especially over a snowplow....) Second. Are you jealous that I tried and succeeded and you can't? Third. Insulting and pompous threats just show me you graduated third grade recently. Congratulations!
rofl. yes you can. your a total failure go back to scholl dirty kid. youve never plow in your fuking life we can see it. dont try with me ive been plowing since im 16. redneck bicth 2wd truck can plow
I just bought one of these winches today. When I press the remote's buttons, it runs continously when letting out cable, but when pulling, it runs intermittently while holding the button down. Does yours do that? I thought maybe they did this as a safety feature, but I'd like to make sure before returning it, if needed.
Yeah, 2wd with a plow. It works for me. I just don't go treating the truck like it is a 4wd when plowing. I haul a half ton of sand in the box for traction anyway, so plowing isn't all that additionally hard on it. These plows are only about 320 lbs, whereas a comparable width Western/Meyers/Boss will easily go twice that. Good tires help as well. Just gotta use your head when plowing.

I re-edited the description to include the specifics, and will be happy to edit to add any more specs if I missed some.

What make and model number is the aftermarket winch? I need to replace my winch and would appreciate any info you can provide.
Thanks,
