Is it still posible to find a scorpio cosworth that has been well looked after? I hate people who sell neglected vehicles and treat them like crap and drive at high revs constantly e.t.c. I've seen them cheap for sale but the engine parts are quite expensive as its cosworth. I'm guessing if you buy a scorpio cosworth you would need to spend alot to keep it in nice condition. It's worth it though as its a great engine and sounds awesome.
very nice we was going to use that engine in a mk2 escort .. but ended up puting the st220 v6 into a mk4 ..... lol funny how things happen ...have a look at mine ..... se if you like the conversion ..as it would go nice in a grannie
You need to replace the standard BOA cams and fit the BOB Cosworth profile ones otherwise they are slow as hell accelerating, and theres a slight surge in uptake at 3500rpm
Its the best thing ever when you get one of these in a Sierra, I have one fitted to MK1 Hatch. Good luck with the install and get in touch if you need any info.
Most compliments i get on a highway are from fast bikers. Always a thumb up, when the acceleration starts. And it´s strange to pass bikers, who get off the throttle at 240km/h!
it´s not comparable granadajack. 250 km/h (revs-limited) and a very positive fuel consumption. The Capri is resting now in my garage to get oldtimer status. The Capri has a manual gearbox (carpi 2.8i turbo). It´s first 2 gears are a bit (too)short, but overall magnificent in it´s revs range.

i made 50.000m km no problems

IT should last indefinitely if you replace the parts that need replacing when they wear out

It´s sounds a bit raw on low revs for a 24V engine. I juse it since `96 in my capri mk3. It runs perfect.
