i have to use mobile BB as my landline provider is a swine, and i cannot get cable in my building. so i have no choice but to suffer speeds and service you would associate with a dial up connection from 1999. Hopeless waste of space time and money. But i NEED the internet...
I use Wimax Long range wireless broadband It's a little faster than 3g mobile broadband And you can recieve a signal from being up to 40 miles away from the base station ....The only advantage mobile broadband has is you can bring it everywhere with you since it's it compact .I have used it before

For me i use internal 3g broadband on my netbook and it comes in the form of a mini PCI or PCI-e card.
For that, the software comes on a CD in the box when you unpack your netbook.
(You obviously need a external CD drive, or you can 'rip' the CD to a folder on a USB key.)

i'm using 3 mobile broadband to load this video and it's taking ages (i'm only using it at the moment cus my bt homehub is being a total arse)
i still wouldn't recommend mobile broadband though, this is the first time it's just about worked after i moved house 1 and a half years ago.

Thanks for this. WiMax, where available, indeed has many advantages as you note.
