  • good job Tanaka, thanx.

  • With argane oil this massage is perfect.

  • how often should i do face massages

  • some of these moves are hard to do it to urself bcuz of the angle

    of ur hands lol

  • Hello, I have two questions. Do we do parts 1-3 everyday or just parts 2-3? Also will this improve the furrows between the eyes?

  • @Kevina74 ...i've been doing only pt 2-3 now after going through the entire series for a couple of days and definitely see an improvement in the contures and problem areas--and how they are talking about sharpei lines ????my whole $%$#face went sharpei! but i truly am seeing a difference doing these once a day--and also now understand how they are talking about "pain" and to lighten up and get the correct amount of pressure needed etc--feels great ! and you will see results.

  • Omg the model has such a wonderful skin!

  • she looks like a mafia bosses wife

  • 4:30

    lol

  • I think the massage that keeps her from aging is called botox. and plastic surgery

  • does she really have to wear that stupid hat

  • Hola, soy tanaka y llevo gorro dentro de unos decorados por si llueve. llámame moderna

  • I did the massage while cleansing my face. GOD I feel sooo refreshed when I wash off the cleanser ! :D thanks for sharing!

  • i love it! it feels good :)))

  • Aquamarine541 you shouldn't use google translate, you just said you are brazil.

  • @makeupbymeems I didn't. I used a translator.

    ~Steph x

  • Also the video is in English...I never said "you are Brazil" lol. ;)

  • i made my boyfri3end to do that for me ;)

  • It's really strict :s

  • I'm a little OCD....Can I do all of these 4 times in a row instead of 3? Or will I hurt my face?

  • Just curious, but why is the masseuse dressing like that? Couldn't she wore a more comfortable attire?

  • This massage will make you look young like ten years ago.

I WANNA TRY THIS ONE WITH MY TEN YEAR OLD SISTER.

  • I do this everyday now, thanks :D

I'm seeing results cause I have a slightly chubby face, now I have a nice jawline :)

  • Tanaka kon'nichiwa watashi wa, feisharutorītomento o okonau to watashi wa burajiru ni sunde iruto tango ga zan'nen machigatte iru baai anata ni kono denshi mēru o sōshin suru yō, Google no hon'yaku-sha o shiyō suru chūbu no koto o oshiete ne.

    Okage de.

  • Depending on how sensitive one's skin is, this looks like it would be pretty relaxing, although I don't think it would do much for wrinkles.

  • too many stepsss...wargh i have to play this in front of the mirror..lol

  • I'm only 16, can I still do this massage :o?

  • @Vendelaaaa It wouldn't hurt, most dermatologist say to start anti aging skincare at 20 but getting a head start never hurt ;)

  • @kohaku1731 Ok, thanks :)

  • @Vendelaaaa Sure! Many asian mommies massage their babies faces to help contour their features as they grow :)

  • of I do this everyday before going to sleep how long will it take to see the results?

  • yeah, it wasnt japanese language, was it?

  • japanese name, chinese language.....i confuse

  • love this

  • thanks <)

  • can i being 20 do this?

  • @angelckitty I think you can do it at any age.

  • Can anyone any age do this? Won't this interfere with your natural facial structure? I'm 21, am I too young to do this?

  • can I start this exercise young, I am 20?

  • Thank you for sharing! I've seen a little improvement ever since the first try!

  • My face feels better already! I might actually start doing this regularly :)

  • Shes a littlebit overdressed to give a massage, aye?

  • Hmm, the lady who waxes my eye brows does this when I get my brows done. I Wounder if she watched it on tv, or you tube. LOL

  • @ping1200 I'm sure there are pictures of it, you could do a Google search. Or you could always try it yourself before calling it bullshit haha. After all, it's just massage. Any massage gets the lymph moving and makes you look more refreshed at the very least.

    ~Steph

  • @ping1200 I'm currently using prescription products. They WORK but in order to have flawless skin, it's more than TREATING. We need to take care of our skin daily to PREVENT it. A basic facial costs about $30: Deep pore clean, steam, exfoliate, extract black heads, soothing mask, massage n more. Idk if the massage helps, but I like it because when they extract the blackheads or pimples, it doesn't leave scars and heal faster then it would if I done it at home, I RECOMMEND BASIC FACIAL SKINCARE.

  • @ping1200 I'll let you know how it works out in 20 or 30 years...

  • @ping1200 If you're under the impression that facial massage is bullshit, then what exactly are you doing here? Are you asking for a before and after photo from someone here? Have you done any research in the matter? Or are you simply looking to troll?

  • I wish I were the model. I seems so pleasant!

  • doesn't pulling skin backwards cause skin to sag or loosen? how much strength do one use ?

  • C) Age: When to start?

If you are under 28, dont do this massage cos it will makes your baby fat disappear. Baby fat may not look good when you are 20, but when you gets older, it is the baby fat on your face which makes you look younger. So wait till 28 when your baby fat is gone and your face starts to sag, especially around the mouth and cheek.

  • B) Long time effects:

Plus: Visible face lift. Very tight. Pores look smaller. Face looks fresher and younger.

Minus: small wrinkles under the eyes. Look at the whole video when she push the cheek upwards. Now do this in front of a mirror, and look at the wrinkles which appear under your eye. This wrinkles could appear if you massage your face daily as she recommanded. I do the eye massage at the end to smooth the wrinkles.

  • I have the book with the dvd. The lady is in her 60s.

    A)

    Facial Massage:

    1. Do it slowly with controlled pressure. If you get use to it, it will just takes you 3 min. to do the whole massage.

    2. She actually recommand facial massage cream, but i use normal facial cream. Just put lots of it on your face before massage. I cream my face a second time after the massage.

  • @Mickel19 Does it work?

  • hi! i HOPE YOU SEE THIS MESSAGE AND REPLY..he he...

i gained weight for the past year..and there is a big change in my face shape...it's so much rounder now...

this year i was able to go down to my desired weight....but my face remained...rounder than before...i think the only way my face would slim down again is if i loose more weight...but i don't want to...i'm satisfied with my current body...

my question is...i'm just 22 years old...is IT BAD TO START TANAKA MASSAGE YOUNG?

  • how old is this video? Looks a bit old school. I want to buy the book but if its just massage facial tips and explanations then i dont want to buy it..(can u let me know?) i think its targeted for foreigners cuz facial massages are on EVERY japanese magazines.

  • Wauw - that looks really uncomfortable!

  • nice... may you translate on russian?

  • Thank you - this was great! I am going to do it for a few weeks to see if it works :D

  • 3:15 SMILE :D

  • thank u so much! itz very useful 4me..!

  • Thank you very much for the translation!!!!!!! I found these videos and could not really use them:))))

  • the all time great massage video

  • this is THE GREATEST MASSAGE VIDEO EVER

  • @GreatkingAlexander have u been doing it?. does it help?.. do u have to do it everymorning or every morning and evening?

  • does doing this massage remove wrinkles or prevent wrinkles and do you have to put pressure on fingers while massaging the face?

  • does massaging the face this way remove wrinkles or prevent wrinkles?

  • Is this the complete guide that you would find in her DVD? or are these just part of the complete routines that she talks about both in her books and DVD?

  • Why is Micheal Jackson Smooshing this ladys face?

  • @Jamminj003 thats really rude o_O

  • @TohruNoOnigiri no it.s not

  • @Jamminj003 Michael Jackson wears shades, not eyeglasses. He's cool like that. lol

  • nice,i like this video

  • nice

  • Thank you so much for translating this to English. You cannot imagine how grateful I am. :)

  • i love this video forever

  • I was wondering: The voice that an be heart sometimes in the background is cleary chinese, but Tanaka is a japanese name and it also says in the description that she's japanese. What is correct answer?

  • @Persayal Tanaka is Japanese and the original video was in Japanese, but it was dubbed over in Chinese. My translator and I took the Chinese version and translated it to English.

    ~Steph x

  • I'm very grateful to you for translating this and putting it so nicely together here on youtube. I learned it from watching it here, I do it daily, and it really works to improve facial tone and contouring. SO!! Have you thought about translating the Tanaka body massage for us, epicbeauty? It would be so nice to have it here, with the face massage!

    Thanks again.

  • why isn't the model using any oils? does Yukuko Tanaka have a book on massages?

  • She looks squished... doesnt seem comfortable at all.

  • the therapist herself is a 63-year-old woman... well that's a story to tell... she looks as if she's at her 40s!

  • Ok, thanks. I read that some of you used massage oil which I don't use. I am using cleansing milk so I do not dare to perform this massage while cleansing coz it is relatively long which is nt advisable for oily skin like me. I am kinda confused though. Can we just do the part 1 massage only? I was hoping to look for the correct way to massage while cleansing.

  • I would not let that freaky woman near me. Also looks uncomfortable, she does not look happy. I thought Michael was dead.

  • @creamytarte It can, but so does regular exfoliating and keeping your pores clear from junk. This helps to keep circulation going and balance oil production, so yes, it can technically help with keeping pores from looking large and new ones from enlarging.

    ~Steph

  • when do we do this massage? during cleansing? moisturising??

  • @ryovan Either way, really. Sometimes I do this when I wash my face, other times I do a mini-massage when I'm moisturizing in the morning. Do what you like best. :)

    ~Steph

  • i wouldnt be comfortable with somone trying to looks slightly like michale jackson touching all over my face...

  • she looks a bit uncomfotable but slighty relaxed at the same time

  • Um, how can I take the practitioner seriously when she is HIDING behind a hat, glasses and turtle neck? What's she hiding?

  • @TheMistressDidi lol she is not trying to hide anything maybe its her style

  • @valeriemd2b: thanks!!

  • @Lovelt0104: Thanks! I asked my mom about this (she's a physical therapist), and she said that I may have done too much and overloaded my body with toxins. I think I will ease up on length of time I massage.

    Thanks again

  • I have acne. Will this massage aggravate my acne or make me break out more?

  • @koolpebble It's possible. If you have a lot of acne, don't do this massage. If you only have it in select areas like your chin, then feel free to do the massage and modify it if you need to. Make sure to use a good quality lotion/moisturizer when you do the massage too, one that won't irritate your skin or clog your pores.

  • Eh..this is a whole lot of work...and can this be done when suffering from hand problems such as Carpal Tunnel?

  • @MultiTwiglet I don't see why not. If it starts to bother your arms or hands, then stop.

  • @FistOfDarwin You can find the original language on YouTube (I think it's also in my favorites), but the English is very useful for people who want to listen as they do it. Thanks for the comment anyway! :)

  • Transcribe the audio. They mention homicide.

  • I know i am not the only one that laughed at this

  • Have you ever heard of anyone having heart palpitations after doing this massage? I tried it last night and shortly after had heart palpitations and shortness of breath. Any thoughts?

  • @fryernikki No I haven't heard of that...could be a coincidence, especially if you've had heart palpitations before.

  • @fryernikki: could have happened because of the blood flow. Suggest that you can still do the masage, but at a shorter period of time. Maybe that helps. I'm no expert but I hope I helped. :) Ask doc if something like this happens again. Stay healty! :D

  • @fryernikki

Well, everyone has a Carotid Sinus on the neck (specifically, an area in the Carotid Artery). Some doctors massage this area to find a type of arrhythmia of the heart. Massaging this area can also slow a rapid heart rate, but its better to leave that to a doctor (in case a dangerous arrhythmia develops).

Anyway, hope that helps. You should check with your doctor if it happens again. It's probably nothing, but better to be safe.

  • @fryernikki Yes, it is normal for some people. If you watch it to the end, you'll see that this is not a mere skin massage, but a whole treatment of the entire body, as it is supposed to be draining. You actualy stimulate some pressure or acupuncture points, which are reflex points, that's why you had uneven heartbeats.

  • @fryernikki To stop or to prevent them, end your massage with a a slight massage counterclockwise on the nape points of Gall Bladder 20 and urinary bladder track 10, then on the anterior face of your wrist, press clockwise the points of pericardium 6

  • Já é a artista

  • I wondering can I use my skin care lotion instead of massage cream?

  • @lovecandy1985 That would work, as long as it's not going to sink right into your skin. You want something that's going to stay un-absorbed for a while so you can complete the massage. :)

  • i had to kinda laugh a little when i paused it at 4:30

  • How long before I see results?

  • @ERIN478 Some people start seeing results within a week, others might take up to 4 weeks. You'll see a difference right after you do the massage, too.

  • @epicbeautyguide seems like u have tried it ur self.... i dont wanna get thinner face i have very skinny face but i want to build it up so it aint that saggy and i am in my 20´s ...... can u tell me if it can define my face without actually making the fat disapear?

  • Thank you for translating this massage! I discovered it months ago and had achieved beautiful results from it together with facial exercising. I would do the best I could since I don't speak Japanese. It is wonderful to be able to understand the reasons why the exercises work and what is being accomplished at each step. Your efforts are greatly appreciated!! :)

  • no wonder japanese women never age!

  • Is that korean or thai ? cause she is not speaking japanese

  • @Obitosenpai She's speaking Chinese in this version, and the original is Japanese.

  • I love Yukuko,s look and style.

  • lol check ou 4:31 lol haha nice video though

  • are you supposed to do this everyday? and what product do you use? Should I wash face before AND after this process? I don´t want oily face, is lotion better? whats the name of the lotion or is it your regular facial daycream?

  • It's more efficient if you do it regulary (every day) You can use a bio hazelnut oil ((Corylus avellana). It's perfect for oily and mixed skin. I do it since 10 days and

I have good result ! Thanks Tanaka !!!

  • Thank for yhe reply! Do you do this in the morning and do you wash you face before and after or just after/before?

  • It depends on your preference. Tanaka used to massage her clients' faces prior to putting on makeup, so for you, that might be in the morning. Since you are going to be putting oil or face massage cream on, you may want to wash your face after the massage, but that's up to you and if you feel that you look greasy.

  • @AMIRA789456 : I do it morning and evening. I first wash my face with a soft cleansing milk then massage with few oil according to my dry skin. After the massage your skin has absorbed all oil and need no more cream (may be few water lotion) It should not be greasy at all if u use a quality oil. Enjoy !

  • What can I use to apply on the face while doing this massage? I tried using my oil cleanser as it is very cusiony and it helped so that I didn't tug on the skin. But It broke me out using it for this masage. Perhaps it was rubbing the oil deep in the skin? Do you have any suggestions on what to use?

  • This is definitely possible, because when I used a cleansing oil/balm to do it, I got little bumps from it as well. Try using just organic, unrefined sweet almond oil or coconut oil, depending on your preference. When I use one of those oils individually, I don't have a problem, so that might work for you too.

    Hope that helped!

    ~Stephanie

P.S. The coconut oil I use is from Tropical Traditions, the sweet almond oil is usually from Mountain Rose Herbs.

  • After how many days do you get noticeable results? because i read for people that have nasolibial folds had results after one try

  • Omg that's crazy lol. All the people on EDS were raving about this but didn't have an english translation which discouraged me. Then I randomly found your blog, watched your videos, and it led me to this lol. Such a coincidence and I'm so happy! Thank you! Do you speak Japanese or Chinese?

  • You're so welcome. :) No, unfortunately I don't speak any languages other than English and a bit of German.

  • I use this twice a day with my cleanser and my skin feels amazing -thank you so much!!

  • after how many days you see the results ?????

  • can it make your face smaller?

  • She says it can...your head is not going to shrink of course, but it can make your nose and cheeks smaller, reduce double chin, that sort of thing.

  • Thank you so much for posting an English version! I'm glad to find out that there is something that I can do to help improve some of my youthfulness.

  • You're very welcome :)

  • Thank you so much for posting this!!!!

  • she looks like shes getting sucker punched lol :)

  • Haha I guess so, but at least this version of a punch feels pretty good. ;D

  • I am so glad someone posted an English translation of this! I have been trying to do this with the original version and its so confusing! You are awesome!

  • Is there a glitch at 5:40? It gets stuck and won't move.

  • Hmmm not that I'm aware of...maybe try moving the slider forward and wait for it to buffer, or pause the video and wait for it to load all the way through. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!

  • She's actually speaking Cantonese or Mandarin in the original. She isn't Japanese.

  • Tanaka is a Japanese woman, and the original video was in Japanese, then dubbed over in Chinese, and translated into English.

  • Thank you for that clarification. :)

  • No problem :D

  • i've been doing this for a couple weeks without having any clue as to what they're saying so this is nice- appreciate the trouble you and the translator took.

  • Thanks bix, glad you're finding them useful. :)

  • Awesome. English translation really helps. Thanks.

  • You're very welcome.

  • not bad

  • Thanks? ;D

  • I'm not brave enough to receive a massage from a comic book villain.

  • Hahaha :D
