Ce n'est pas "The masterpiece". C'est une oeuvre géniale démontrant un des aspects du pouvoir créateur de Bach. La Messe en si mineur demeure pour moi "The masterpiece" car elle contient tous les aspects de la musique de Bach: science de l'orchestration, fuguues, choeurs, solos joyeux et tristes... Il a présenté le Kyrie et le Gloria pour obtenir le titre de compositeur du roi de Pologne. C'est son chef-d'oeuvre.

Que coisa... e eu fazendo papel de palhaço me matando pra tentar escrever em inglÊs.. Enfim, o que eu quis dizer é que Palestrina viveu na fase de transição do período modal para o tonal, então sua música ainda não é totalmente tonal e não tem muita dissonância nem cromatismo, herança da música medieval. Outro dia li um artigo muito interessante sobre a comparação de Palestrina e música pop, acho que já deve ter visto.

@ahgblopes Em parte é verdade, Palestrina assim como Monteverdi foi um ponto de transição entre as duas fases tendo aspectos de ambas.Talvez por ele não ser um compositor puramente barrôco eu tenha cometido o engano de colocá-lo neste estilo,porém como disse ele deu bastante contribuição para o estilo barrôco e foi um dos elos da música polifônica renascentista com a música contrapontística barrôca. Você só errou pelo período, com certeza Palestrina tem importância vital no estudo do contraponto, mudando um pouco de assunto, eu estou procurando a versão inteira do livro Gradus ad Parnassum, de J. Fux, já ouviu falar? Eu só tenho a parte que fala de contraponto a duas vozes. O livro é um tratado de contraponto, onde se passa uma história de um discípulo de Palestrina aprendendo o contraponto, começando pelo cantus firmus e as regras básicas de condução das vozes.

@newFranzFerencLiszt Capisco. Beh io sono un "pianofilo" più che un pianista (suono un po' per diletto) quindi non ho la formazione musicale per dare giudizio critico sull'interpretazione. Se vuole sentire Gould all'organo sul mio canale trova il contrappunto 9. Comunque colgo l'occasione per farle i più sinceri complimenti (e ringraziamenti) per il suo immane lavoro su Liszt. Il suo canale è una perla nel web :)
