Please, once again, do not get me wrong...I think her story is fascinating, her voice is amazing and teaches a great 'moral' to the masses. But remember that Simon Cowell is a master at manipulation...hell he made millions on the freakin' Teletubbies LOL

I am in the States too Rob =) but i travel to the UK allot (i am a stew). Potts got allot of well-deserved attention (amazing voice, just like Susan) but I think the variable in 2009 vs 2008 is: a) the explosive growth of YouTube and b) the acceptance of YT as 'legitimate" media.

Awesome job, Rob, another good video. I need to talk to you about the friend thing, because we kind of have parallel stories. Just Miranda, I mean, I know I can put "all my eggs in her basket" as you said, because I just I know she will be there. Anyway, tty soon, awesome vid. She is damn good....but let's get real...she is Paul Potts Pt II....they have done this before: contrived 'real life' dont judge a book by its cover...beauty comes in all kinds of packages...stuff. I am not saying she is not epicly talented...but they knew exactly what they were doing when they cast her and are getting the response they planned.

since i'm in america i'm not as familiar with the paul potts thing although i've heard of it because someone else mentioned it to me when i was talking about susan... out of curiousity, why didn't he become a youtube sensation you think, if it's so similar? that's what i'm trying to figure out... i'd never heard of him. what makes susan's story so much more....... compelling? worldly?
