  • U need a loud amp dude

  • eh general well done for being wrong. u changed some things up and it made a major sound diffrents . so it was less jazzy blues how u played it. oh and u forgot a part of the song in the beginging there.. i hunted around for weeks to get this song down right

  • due.

    have the same bass

    that's a good song

just finished learning the solo a few weeks agoe.

    rock on.

  • tabs. now!

  • Hel, the music in any format would be nice.. I used to have this one in a book, but it wasn't quite right and i've since lost it anyway :(

  • duuuuuude that was sooo sick lol. im learning the same song and I cant play it as well as you. the only part of that song that gives me real trouble is the solo with the chords. good work man

  • Hey man, nice playing. I gave you 5/5, mainly because you and I are rockin the same kind of bass!

  • Did you know you look a bit like Dave Pegg's boy Matthew who played Bass with Tull for a short period?

  • Some nice work there man! That song is an excellent interpretation of Bach, and it contains some of my favourite bass work of all time!

  • Your kind words are appreciated. I agree. Glenn Cornick did a fantastic job with this one. He's one of my favorites! Take care.

  • hey do you have tabs for this?please..great playing

  • I don't. I learned it by ear. It took me a full hour. Thanks!

  • The tone is like a sea of mud. Layoff the neck pick-up and get some midrange clarity. Also tap your left foot and watch your time. You will catch yourself rushing and dragging the time so your fingers will hit the notes. Time comes first, it has to be rock solid on this line. Also-add different feels like a swing feel vs stacatto-try a few bends and vibrato for spice-the legato feel just becomes a bore. Your 1/2 way there.

  • dude nice cornick

  • Jethro tull? Yeah! Cut my acoustic teeth on that schtuff. 5 stars from the stratman

  • Skating away on the Thin Ice of a New Day is a great acoustic on of theirs. I think Ian may have actually played the guitar on that. He did when I went and saw them about two years ago here in Austin with my girlfriend.

  • I've got most of the song down, I've just need to get that solo down, and I'm having a rather tough time.

Anyway, good job on the overall performance!

  • Hey, you're good, man, just let us hear your Fender a little more by doing another version. Keep doing a nice job :)

  • He was great. Ive acually been able to talk to him through email.Super nice guy

  • Damn. Maybe I ought to try also.

  • On tull's website it said Glenn was "invited to leave" by management. Nice playing here man

  • Thanks. Yeah, I thought so. Killer player though, wasn't he?

  • They didn't get rid of him, he just left.

  • Good show! That's much farther than I could ever get. lol I'll have to come back to this and take some notes. :P
