Nigerian musicians of the era before and after the 80's were super dupa. Thumbs up for them. Those of the 80's tower very high. My childhood memories revolve around them. They are my heros. Unfortunately, many of them have done their job and gone at a time we most need their wise and life chaning messages/counsels. May God grant eternal rest for the dead among them. Nelly Uchendu died in a plane crash from Lagos to Enugu together with her children and her Au pair. One of the children was just few months old then. I can't say for sure now, how many of her children were with her onboard that fatal plane then.

She had a brief romantic affair with Jim Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo while he was the govn of then Anambra State which is now split into two: Enugu and Anambra states.

On that same plane crash, Mr. C C Onoh, who succeeded him as govn. also lost a daughter.
