One of many classic Gravediggaz tracks. The eerie sound of Rza and Wu with the funky sound of Prince Paul and De La Soul. Poetic & Frukwan were great together also. Supergroup of the Underground! Love when the track stops and the Protect Ya Neck sample comes in before the beat kicks in again. Psych!
@SkateChannel13 Because Horrorcore unfortunately could never be brought up higher ( most people arent into the dark lyrics/humour), and also because Poetic passed away when he was young Gravediggaz was only formed in 1994, and Poetic/Grym Reaper passed away in 2001 to cancer unfortunately.
@AnvExploitz Yeah i read about his death. Very sad, but i am kind of happy that Horrorcore is more underground. That`s just more good Hip Hop for us to enjoy.
Lol if something is way ahead of their time it is Odd Future Wolfgang, have you even hear The Jet Age Tomorrow, Mike G or Domo Genesis? This is future stuff and sick production.

@daledgend1981 you must not be looking for good enough, because I've found plenty of good rap, if you don't like most of the mainstream, look in the underground.

"You don't say 'Boo' to us! As much money as we bring in this motherfucker!!! You don't own the place anyway!! The white man own it! He just frontin' yo ass off!"
there's a top-rated Bone-Thugs-In -Harmony comment talking about them being one of the REAL hip hop groups?? They sold-out HARD after Crossroads!! E 1999 Eternal was their last decent album. After that was garbage!!!!
@rmordica I agree with you there. I know it's hard for artist to come up with appealing material to their fans, but they and many others just stopped bothering.
Not that my opinion matters or will make a difference, but I agree with many, new hip hop is just terrible and in my case I think it is embarrassing.
The Rzarecta was so ill with Gravediggaz... With the Wu, except for some tracks, I didn't find him that good (in a way, when you're in the same crew that MCs like GZA, INS, Meth.... you can look worth than you're really)

@edcerc usually when people don't know music history and are like 1 of 20 or so people with a dislike or negative comment, I take that whole.... "I won't even dignify this with a response" stance... However, I'm going to have to strike a B-Boy pose next to your comment and put the school of hip-hop history in session... Bare with me this may take about two or three posts... Wu-Tang like Gravediggaz (Most see them as members of the same family) Were very advanced for their time.. To be continued
@edcerc Wu-Tang formed around 1991, they officially dropped in 1993. During this time RZA, Prince Paul and a few other MC's were dissatisfied with music industry standards concerning hip-hop and what it should be... Out of this Gravediggaz formed and made hip-hop history and gave birth to the short-lived horror-core scene. Several artists tried to imitate this sound and failed... (if you need me to I'll name them for you)...
@lordchaos74 I know Flatlinerz released their U.S.A. album first it came before this in 1994, they were active during 93 & 94. However, Prince Paul, RZA, Too Poetic and fam were ready to release 6 Feet Deep in 92, only problem was that the record label execs weren't having it. Some would even argue that Esham and Nation Ahead of Time and Space a.k.a. N.A.T.A.S. a Detroit group came first. My point is that no one was interested in Acid Rap, Horror Core or what ever you prefer before Gravediggaz.
@edcerc Even the mediocre cracker rap scene that came about in the late nineties and still tries to exist today imitated the Gravediggaz in one way or another. This music wasn't for the industry or the average fan. It was a statement that most people didn't get then and most still don't comprehend. I do understand that sometimes people think it is cool or transgressive to be that 1 guy that doesn't like something. This may be you and the other 18 people that didn't like this video.
@edcerc All things stated.. you shouldn't even be speaking on musical sound holding up based on the complete lack of knowledge on the Wu and Wu affiliates... Honestly, Wu sound has floundered here and there over the years due to a flood that wiped out RZA's personal studio and equipment. However, most hip-hop heads have stayed loyal based on the history of the group as a whole. Develop some actual knowledge on the history of the artist(s) before you go talking out of your ass.

@edcerc Actually, I don't see how you can say the Wu sound holds up and this doesn't... It's basically the RZA's fool proof formula with a twist. You are one of the only people I have ever encountered that likes the Wu and dislikes Gravediggaz. The Gravediggaz formed as a result of The RZA and Prince Paul not receiving the respect they felt that they deserved. Class Dismissed....
@AndToddSaid you think if you start listing thinks in a condescending way that your are somehow telling me something that i dont know and i should change my opinion. It has to do with my feeling and not a lack of knowledge which u dont seem to understand.
@spacesoup Bobby Digital is too talented for them to comprehend that he was behind the sound of wu tang as well as gravediggaz not to mention all the solo acts they spawned...
You should all watch the movie 'The Warriors' , the 'y'all listen to this, all right' phrase in the beginning is from that movie. This is a great track, by the way.
@jazjit yes thank you i found out. but if you listen to Dont be afraid of the dark, the one on the second isnt frukwan voice... could it be prince paul?
If any good rappers want some promotion send a track to jessebonds@hotmail.com. You'll get a chance to be featured on 'Wikkid Shit Vol. 3: Halloween Edition' or Wikkid Shit Vol. 4. The CDs will be given out for free and you will get recognition for the track. Pleez don't spam my shit.. I'm just gettin trax.
Alone listening to the Gravediggaz making me go insane, for years theyve been taking the shovel and the pick to my brain, for shame, to see so many mentally dead zombie slaves, better go get the RZA to rzarect the Grym Reaper from his grave

@spacesoup many people believe that RZA/Wu-Tang/GZA are the only innovative things about hip-hop... those people are stupid fuckers.
LaLaGrunge 10 months ago
@spacesoup Bobby Digital is too talented for them to comprehend that he was behind the sound of wu tang as well as gravediggaz not to mention all the solo acts they spawned...

The 16 five year old Lil Wayne fans who pressed the dislike button shouldn't be allowed in the presence of hip-hop like this.
