@freemansbp it only uses two chords but it isnt monotone. theres emotion, and changes in the volume and feel. to be monotone means to not change in intonation, to be a single piece of sound that is almost suspended without change. there also is somewhat of a chorus when he repeats "i'm going back to 505.." what makes this song so interesting is the way it transforms over the course of 4 minutes with only two chords. its not for everyone, but its not monotone either.

@freemansbp Well, yeah but that's why its brilliant. Its a progression that builds and builds. the keyboard eventually gets drowned out by the guitars, drums and bass. Its quite beautiful. To me, at least. Its my favorite AM song of all time. Turner at his best, lyric-wise, if you ask me.
