Seems almost all musicians nowdays play just wearing jeans on stage, get together half ass jam whatever, But i wonder if musicians will ever think like they did during 70s.. Rock bands were huge, larger than life especialy in glam and shock rock? The band Poison ruined the word 'glam' They were a local LA joke became national success in 80s their concerts sucked! No shock value, just suck. But I mean bands nowdays is that good, to be like everybody else? Isnt that the same as being nobody?
Being a Zappa and Mothers fan.....Got the "Pretties For You Album" and followed until the original band fell apart. Never missed a concert when they came to Philadelphia. Underated music at the time and the shores were spectaculars with a lot of thought put into them. One of the best and a very telling rock interview. Thanks for that.
This Finnish guy is a lot better than the American interviewers of that time. Trust me, I grew up with Alice's music. I was going thru puberty when my sister gave me Billion Dollar Babies that she got as a birthday present, but knew I liked. I was 12. Alice Cooper was a bigger nightmare than the Beatles and Stones together, and the trick is - We got it!! We knew what it was. We weren't thinking violence. It was all, "lets enjoy a horror show and rock out", and the lyrics were fantastic!
Please check out the Trailer for "Weekend at the Cabin" and Purchase your own copy or rent it today. Help support your Indie Artist. Tell a friend. Have a great day.
Wow his eyes are so inebriated. He said if he was pulled over and had not been drinking for 3 days he would still be considered drunk.Don't think he even went 12 hrs. without drinking.Who's the dumbfuk interviewer, who came up with these questions."Why Rock n Roll" cause it's in my blood you moron.
Alice Cooper is the absolute best! Thank God the R&R Hall of Fame finally wised up and inducted him! He changed the face of music and he still sounds great! Thanks for all the great music over the years!
So, the old folks don't understand, eh? Congrats, Alice! You get tons of play on the local oldies station we listen to at work. We crank it so you can be heard above the metal machining sounds of mills and lathes. Rock on!
At least he's honest and doesn't make out he's some hardcore rocker who is the ''real thing''. None of them are real, they have all the money in the world to go to rehab. The real hardcore cunts are low life boozers and junkies that have no money and no one gives a shit about them.
Jamming was 'over' at that time. Now there is a new audience for it, but it's great that so many forms are now available for different tastes. I'd love to meet this guy, he seems quite intelligent and nice. People in the biz tend to respect and like Alice. He has a great reputation for being 'real'.
Alice is cool and laid back. When the interviewer asked him if he might be provoking people into violence, he was very articulate and calm. If it were me, I'd probably fly into a rage, curse at the guy, and as I'm bashing his skull in, I'd say: "We . . . do . . . not . . . . provoke. . . violence, damn it!"
I found his 1st 2 albums in a record shop in Denver Colorado, "Pretties for you" & "Easy action", both produced by Frank Zappa......for the diehard Cooper fans only...im the man!!
@70marco80 In my opinion, that's today's economy for ya'! Hopefully President Obama will see to it that a MAJOR improvement is on the way or is in store for us!

Alice Cooper is greatest Rockstar of all he is 61 years old I think and he still gives a Super,Powerful,Shocking and Hard Rocking concert!!!!!! and no one can beat him to it......

Gosh, just look at him! Young, relaxed, and yes, good-looking. It makes me sad, though, the way he's talking about "needing" to be drunk. But he got through that problem and came out better than ever!
Ironic Alice is drinking a Stella Artois, brewed by InBev, the company that bought out Anhueser Busch. Any other time you would have seen Alice drinking a Budweiser or Michelob.
