I'm a seventh day Adventist and honestly, I don't care if whether Saturday or Sunday is the true sabbath. I think most of the SDA forgot that we should focus on JESUS and our own salvation and not on will happen in the future. For it is written that it will all end and we should not be scared. Actually, I'm excited for this news because we will all see Jesus. :)

@cfafoxy Sure. The calendar has been changed a few times I think, but those changes didn't change the days of the week. For example, I'm pretty sure a Roman emperor changed the dates so that Thursday the 3rd of October was the 13th of October - something like that. The date changed, but Thursday was still Thursday; it didn't become Monday or Friday.
Also, any proper encyclopaedia will tell you that Sunday is the first day of the week, Monday is the second and so on.
@cfafoxy Also, aside from that. Most, if not all, of the Jewish race keeps Saturday as their holy day and has done that for thousands of years. It would be reasonable to suggest that a few Jews on an isolated island might lose track of time, but for the whole Jewish race to forget which day is their holy day is quite unlikely.

@jhane04ful no, but i did read the Bible. i don't know much about 7th day adventists except they do keep 7th day sabbath instead of sunday, and they also eat vegetarian? or at least healthy food. went to a church of theirs about twice and they always had a really huge potluck dinner every saturday. good food! and a lady wrote a book they use as guidance, many years ago.
In the early Christian Church, there were many converts that were not originally Jewish and so the idea of the Sabbath being observed on the seventh day (the Saturday) was an alien concept. Therefore, as the resurrection of Jesus was seen as a turning point and a kingpin of the Christian faith, the day on which he rose became the 'holy' day rather than the Saturday. Therefore Christians still worship on Sundays even today, nearly 2000 years later.
even if he did it wouldn't automatically make it so since the RCC (& their many false doctrines) does not represent all Christian churches (CC), most CCs do not teach that the day that you worship will save you from the mark of the beast. Which leads me to my final point.
5)The bible cleary says that THE HOLY SPIRIT is the SEAL OF GOD not the day you worship. Eph1:13, Eph4:30, 2Cor1:21-22. Any Christian who has the Holy Spirit is sealed by God regardless of the day they worship.

if you have been exposed to more people than I have, and still view that the Catholic pope is the anti-christ. Part of my indoctrination included that all Popes were Italians, which I later found out to be inaccurate. @studiousangel SABBATH MEANS REST. rest from all work and self serving activities like commerce. lay in bed if you need to, and get into the presence of God entirely so you can be refreshed, now that's a real sabbath and it works wonders on a person. try it. that's what God gave us, because humans need it. He said to rest completely and focus entirely on Him for one day per week, the 7th day. is there some good reason to now disobey Him on this? also every day, some prayer time.

That is because you don't know that carbon dating for very old things doesn't work. For they to date fossils they assume that rocks have a certain age, and for dating rocks they assume a certain age for the fossils... Basically they don't know!
Carbon dating functions for recent/contemporary things only, where one is able to compare elements. Yah bless

I'm a seventh day Adventist and honestly, I don't care if whether Saturday or Sunday is the true sabbath. I think most of the SDA forgot that we should focus on JESUS and our own salvation and not on will happen in the future. For it is written that it will all end and we should not be scared. Actually, I'm excited for this news because we will all see Jesus. :)
So stop the fights. For Non SDA and SDA, focus on your faith and be happy for the Lord is coming. :)

@cfafoxy Sure. The calendar has been changed a few times I think, but those changes didn't change the days of the week. For example, I'm pretty sure a Roman emperor changed the dates so that Thursday the 3rd of October was the 13th of October - something like that. The date changed, but Thursday was still Thursday; it didn't become Monday or Friday.
Also, any proper encyclopaedia will tell you that Sunday is the first day of the week, Monday is the second and so on.

@cfafoxy Also, aside from that. Most, if not all, of the Jewish race keeps Saturday as their holy day and has done that for thousands of years. It would be reasonable to suggest that a few Jews on an isolated island might lose track of time, but for the whole Jewish race to forget which day is their holy day is quite unlikely.

Using the Bible falsely by pointing out a Church error and then elevating it to an out of context statement is a gross sin. It is seal, not mark when it refers to the Sabbath day being Saturday. Get back to me when you actually have a REAL case of a sunday law. The Bible says it will be a case of forced observance AND prevention of worship on any other day. That people are going to church on sunday... lets just say that's been happening for quite a while now.

@lsmith869 truly the title of this video is stupid, since they are talking about KEEPING A DAY OF REST, TO REST FROM MODERN ELECTRONIC DEVICES which is a very good idea! These devices and the transmissions are bad for the human body and brain, because of the EMF they emit, read up people! The people on the vid are not giving any certain day, but suggesting SATURDAY, the original Sabbath of God-- and not as a law but as a practice for personal health, voluntarily- a good idea they are sharing.

Especially when they do NOT keep a 7th day Sabbath but try and substitute the changed one of Sunday, the 1st day, which was a Roman Emperor's invention (Constantine).

@jhane04ful no, but i did read the Bible. i don't know much about 7th day adventists except they do keep 7th day sabbath instead of sunday, and they also eat vegetarian? or at least healthy food. went to a church of theirs about twice and they always had a really huge potluck dinner every saturday. good food! and a lady wrote a book they use as guidance, many years ago.

In the early Christian Church, there were many converts that were not originally Jewish and so the idea of the Sabbath being observed on the seventh day (the Saturday) was an alien concept. Therefore, as the resurrection of Jesus was seen as a turning point and a kingpin of the Christian faith, the day on which he rose became the 'holy' day rather than the Saturday. Therefore Christians still worship on Sundays even today, nearly 2000 years later.
