  • I think lavender town si a pretty cool guy. eh drives ppl to suicide and doesnt afraid of anything.

  • OOOHHHHHHHHHH MYYYY GOOOOD, Cant take this and more.. This music.. im gonna commit suicide now its the only way out

  • 1:17 raped my ears... D:

  • ehm guys its a BETA version , the water on the building is just a bug because its a BETA version its not complete ...

  • K one,I'm 11,two,love creepy pastas,three,am smart enough to know that water can't float on a building,1:34

  • 10:34 look at the pokemon center

  • Some of those sounds don't seem to be sounds that the Game Boy is capable of producing. Also, water on buildings?

  • This is what beta music usually sounds like in Game Boy format-high pitched, annoying, incomplete and has random drones in it to represent a sudden change from high pitch to low pitch...nothing really out of the ordinary...it does make sense, looking at the final product of the song.

  • I found this annoying, but nothing else happened.

  • Now THIS is Lavender Town! :D

  • Jesus, that's the most disturbing 8-Bit track I've ever heard.

  • 1:17 WTF D: that scared me for a second

  • Can anyone translate the message from 0:36? Please:)

  • @GermanDream146 Idk for sure, but in the version that came out in the US the girl asks you "Dou you believe in ghosts?" If you answer "Yes" she says "Really? So there are believers..." a normal answer to say the least, however if you answer "No" she says "Hahaha I guess not. That white hand on your shoulder...I'm just imagining it." O.O

  • @Kanzuko thanks! :)

  • @GermanDream146 "You, do you think spirits exist? [Yes / No] (He picked no) Ahaha, that's so isn't it! That white hand on your right shoulder, I'm just imagining it." Basically the same as the English.

  • Not scary, but fucking annoying. Btw, I'm 11.

  • viewing this as a spectrograph is pretty interesting.

  • That Jigglypuff...

  • Licke

  • I was listening to this with headphones and didn't suffer a headache at all. I kind of liked some of the music but I don't think I would ever listen to this for a long length of time.

  • this is just creepy O>o

  • I think somethings wrong with me. I don't find this creepy at all. In fact, I'm kinda dancing in my seat to this.

  • "I also refuse to share this beta ROM, simply because there are other things within that should best be forgotten."

    seems legit

  • jesus sounds like needles on a chalk board whilst killing birds

  • 2:45... i screeched...

  • ok so i used headphones and after this i got a headache and then i started to hear noises and i get shakey really easy and i just got really shakey and i still have a headache and i smell the bloddy nose scent but i do find this a good song to scare people

  • damn, lavender, u scary!

  • 2:19 kill me...

  • Naw this is actually the legit version of it, You can download the beta rom and play it. I got to Lavender town and it was this music. >__> I always feel weird after hearing it.

  • @3:01 whats up with the lake in the rock

  • listening with headphones= ear rape xD

  • Guys, this is real. The part about the suicide is fake, but the music itself is hidden in the game's ROM. It's even in Red/Blue! Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be watching Thomas the Tank Engine...BECAUSE I CAN!

  • This is fake.

8-bit games could not have sliding notes

there is a piano in it

But still, it is a DAMN good remix. Props to the author.

  • The funny thing is !!! Pokemon went bad on much things !!

    You know about Missigno ??

And there whas an Pokemon episode ( not released in the western countries ) that caused epilepsy on over that 200 children( not sure if it was 200) !!

  • 2:49

  • definitely more intense then the americanized versions

  • I'm nine,wearing headphones, and NOTHING happened.

I say this whole thing is just a creepypasta.

  • @keyboarderization just checking, you die yet broski? lol

  • @keyboarderization Same thing, but I'm ten.

  • It's obvious that it's fake. The song used has been repeatedly posted on YouTube as the REAL version, even though it sounds nothing like the rest of the game. Also, there's a binaural beat playing in the background that can't possibly be generated by a gameboy since sound output can only be mono. However, I did like the use of a "corrupt" rom to give off the vibe that Lavender Town was causing the game to break down, so points for that.

  • @NESRULES111 No, this is the stock music from the original Japanese versions of the game produced by Satoshi Tajiri. The GBS has two pulse waves, an arbitrary 4-bit wave channel (a little like the NES DPCM channel, but with 32 repeating samples) and a noise channel; however, the triangle/DPCM channels are not separated as in the NES.

  • @conman2317 It's fake as you already know it. He obviously did this to either scam or troll the believers.

  • I said I am 16 but I'm 17. Strange? XDDD

  • "and, in this case, were deliberately used to cause discomfort, possibly to an extreme extent"... yeah that makes sense lets make a game that makes people insane so no one will ever buy any sequels

  • I...started seeing jigglypuff on my walls @_@

  • I like this part: 1:48 :D

  • I'm 16. I kinda like this theme and I don't like this theme. I don't know.

    '

  • @ilikeGorillaz1

    It's like an electrical thing

  • binaural beats aren't bad. they're actually used to reduce anxiety and for meditation. but i find this music very creepy and depressing. i understand how it must've caused those poor kids to kill themselves. what a horrible thing for the makers of this music to purposefully put discomforting music in a children's game. the english version of this is better compared to this. it sounds like something you'd hear in Halloween or something :/

  • @ElectricCrystal25 how about, its fake. A normal gameboy cannot play binaural beats as binaural beats use more channels. Plus binaural beats cannot be played in 8bit.

  • Still happy thoughts. "Splat"

  • 2:45Does someone else hear that spazzing cellphone and that high note?

  • Im so buying this game from ebay

  • 1:18 and 1:32 what was that?!?!

  • It's just annoying sounding to me and gives me a slight headache..

  • Not as creepy as the american version. I like it better actually.

  • >listened with headphones

    >reads description later

    actually sounds good

  • 1:32 - 1:45 x-x

This song did cause me discomfort but...I'm not gonna kill myself over it XD

  • I have 11 years and nothing, what I had to commit suicide or what?

  • well its just a creepy song with a creepy story to go along with it. showed it to my 5 yr old nephew and he was fine lol he didn't really think twice about it or told me his ears hurt or anything

  • @MuscleCarsB this obviously isn't the legitimate beat. just one very close to it.

  • ALright imma go kill myself.

  • @jlvyn13 Loser.

  • Ok im going to say it I kinda like it and im 12 although sometimes its to high pitched and doesn't sound good

  • No clue why anyone would come up with the fake stories behind the music. Seems incredibly silly.

  • Older people who play this game: Can you hear the little four note pattern throughout the song? Just wondering.

  • What I don't get about this whole lavender town syndrome, is if Game Freak truly used these high pitched sounds that they couldn't here themselves, how did they know they were even using them in the first place. I personally think the whole thing is a fake. And at first it sounded believable, as I can hear high-pitch noises and certain ones can make me feel disturbed, upset, and some notes (in this case dog whistles) make me feel violent. But in one word: Fake!

  • @vjpearce all I read in your comment was "I, they, me, fake."

    In one word: FAKE.

  • Listened with headphones. Though I'm young enough to hear all the pitches, I'm unfazed. When it started getting higher pitched, I didn't like it much, though. Especialy when it reached the highest pitch.

  • I'm 17 and listened with headphones.

I couldn't even hear some of the stuff, it seems like it should keep going up but it randomly cuts off alot, it gives me a slight headache though, like that high frequency ringtone on my iPhone does

  • Man, I'm 11 and all I got was a headache o.o

  • did anyone can find a beta rom from pokeomn green/red? i'm realluy courios..

  • what freaked me out about this is the tones at the beginning. they confuse my ears

  • did anyone notice that each time he read a sign, the town would get more corrupted?

  • what happened to the town?

  • Thus far, this is the only "real Lavender Town Syndrome" video that I find believable. While it seems excessive for the game designers to have put so much work into this elaborate song, the tones and such seem possible for a Game Boy to produce, and the song is very unsettling. If this is not the real deal, I have to give you credit for this original rendition.

  • 1:32 with head phones, the vibration just fucked with my head, it hurt

  • when it gets quiet, if u use ear phones u can hear the high frequency noise

  • After 1:45 the music does not sound 8-bit, or at least those instruments were not in any other songs in RBY or GSC.

  • is this the original or a messed up version?

  • This doesnt seem to match the game soundtrack style at all.

  • Throughout the whole thing (either by bad editing or by interference {not sure}) there is a constant very high pitch. Not sure if everyone noticed that. Thumbs up if you did. Just adjust your sound system accordingly to hear it.

  • @Music4PeaceToday I bet that would drive dogs nuts!

  • You refuse to give the beta rom, simply because you don't have it.

  • @Quartrez *facewall*No shit its just a reason to make the story scarry while hiding that he dosent have the rom

  • @Quartrez Hey ive got the japanese green rom !:)Do you want a download link?

  • @niklasbergmann it has to be a beta rom

  • @iceghost27 Sry can you search a while?ive just got green roms now :/

  • @Quartrez then how the fuck did he make the video?

  • Comment removed

  • @iSwayzak Not that hard to get video of a pokemon game and downloading a program to alter music

  • @Quartrez he refuses to give it because he stole this video and reuploaded it.

  • @Quartrez No, I have a version of the Beta ROM, and this is the real music. the lie about it is the fact that the ''Lavender Town Syndrome'' is all a lie. This music is real, but the story isn't.

  • @laaviilaamp Uh no, actually the only issue with the original Lavender Town theme is that it caused strain on the Gameboy speaker.

  • @Quartrez Exactly

    The syndrome never existed

It's just a story to scare gullible people

  • ... fake, unfortunately, but cool nevertheless.

  • WHY AT MIDNIGHT AM I WATCHING THIS?DO I WANT TO NEVER SLEEP AGAIN?!DO I HATE MY LIFE?!M-mommy?I'm scared.

  • ......e_o WTF

  • Really awesome remix. My neck hurts xD

Still, I'm not gonna believe it's from a beta version of the game unless you post the rom you used.

  • My whole body hurts and I wasn't even thinking about the tone... So it's not placebo...

  • @TakoshidaEpikShinxz Yes it is.

  • yeah, everyone will be so jealous of my new fancy ring tone :D

  • 3:09 "Now I'm going to kill myself" xD

  • While this is total bullshit, it's still a really eerie cover. I dig it.

  • @MasterYumyums this is real

  • @mexicansupersaiyan What is your proof? I've found nowhere online proving that the original lavender town was any different from the version released in the US, with the exception of some of the higher and more distressing pitches. I seriously doubt that they would throw in that intro and that very dissonant chord in the middle with no relation to the rest of the song. That in addition to the fact that the whole track is much longer than the rest of Pokemon's tracks by triple at least.

  • Lmao this is a remake -_-

  • faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaakee!!!!!

  • No.......this can't be the real version..............so that other video.......it's true?...................Dammit, my new medication gives me nightmares, and I started those meds just a week before finding the true tune...............To be honest, I feel as though the ghost is trying to kill me when I'm in bed, but there is one thing that protects me. My Pinkie Pie toy. Is that weird?

  • @mewofepicness What protects me is my radio on kiss fm and my freaking Mew toy so no

  • Jesus Christ.

  • Actually they eyes are also fully developed when you are born and weaken as you get der.

  • @R3CL4IMER The eyes are not fully developed when you are born. Babies can only see blurs for a good few months, until they learn to focus properly.

  • Meh 3:

  • This sounds amazing. I wish they left it in just to freak out the kids playing.

Also love how Giygas's music is in the video suggestions.

  • imagine that the people who lived in lavender town were forced to listen to that tune extreamly loud for the rest of their life.. No wonder their smiling @_@

  • --listened to it at 9pm in headphones on full volume--

After the song i had slight ringing in my left ear. Also i kept hearing those 4 base notes quietly fadeing in and out of my hearing, not quiet enough to not believe it but not loud enough to think it was still playing. Then i had a head ache and couldn't get to sleep AND IT WAS A SCHOOL NIGHT

  • Listening through studio monitors.

    Still not dead.

    Love this fucking song.

  • 74964 views, 1000 testers, 100 people dead.

    1000x0.1 = 100

    74964x0.1 = 7496.4

Approximately 7500 people killed and counting,

  • This just started to give me back pains, no fucking joke.

  • God this is creepy

  • good god.. can't believe it's true. my head hurts like hell, and I feel dizzy..

  • mi cabeza wn!!! x_x mierda, no recomiendo ver eso

  • ARGH MY FUCKING BRAIN.

  • so the games could've been sold with this music but somebody just had to exagereate the truth of the afffects the binary sound waves had on the brain so the games got recalled and we got the games we got in the us in 1997

  • i hear this song including the high pitched binarial beats binary sound waves are suposed to affect the brain in mysterious ways but remember these games were only 8-bit(binary unit) games. the binary sound waves from the binarial beats were suposed to make children and teenagers commit suicide or at least have thoughts of it. well thats bullshit i only got a sevre mindgrane, im 16, well no suicidal thoughts, so it was just an urban legand from truth of just mindgranes getting exagerated.

  • @ryan146100 implying that a one person sample is enough to prove your claim over an entire age group consisting of more than one person.

  • I just listened this with headphones on.. seriously is it weird that I get a pretty bad feeling now..?

  • FUCK. This hurt my ears ! Seriously, don't use earphones ! >_<

  • This song belongs in Indigo Prophecy

  • WHAT THE HELL IS THIS SONG, THIS SHOULD BE IN SILENG FUCKING HILL OR WHATEVER

  • Oh, shit, that awkward moment when I start to consider whether or not I should listen to this song.

  • This actually soothed me

  • "using headphones is NOT recommended"

whelp time to break out the headphones!

  • @nuclearToxins but when i did it agin it loaded it

  • @nuclearToxins It siad the website was unde rheavy load

  • I love all versions of this song!

Except the animals in my room got all restless when just a few seconds ago they were relaxing. D8 I understand it's the high-pitched noise just irritating them. I'll stop it for them. :3 *not a chicken*

  • Why can't I stop reading Creepypasta wiki? D:<

  • Bleh, i hate my life. im just gonna keep listening to this until i die.

  • lavander town rocks \m/

  • Also, if you listen very very hard around 2:50 you can hear an extremely high pitched noise. at first i didn't hear it (i'm 21) but then i listened a slight bit closer.

  • I read from another video that Satoshi Tajiri purposely asked his composer to make the theme sound scary and horrorific, because he wanted to annoy the kids who bought the red version over the green. why? because according to him, Red is a violent and evil color, green is peaceful and nice. and that can be agreed with.

  • @DrPhilMusic Yeah, I read that too, but I have a reason to not believe it. See, he said: "I didn't mean for the music to do... what it did.", obviously he's refering to the "suicides", and as far as I've searched, it never happend. Plus, it was a different version, and just to say, I think this one sounds more legit. The other one is a bit to crazy, and I'm not sure if a Game Boy could handle it. And yeah, I guess the Red one might be different, so the above might not make sense.

  • It sounds so nice! ^-^ im listening to it on loop :D

  • 1:17 I fucking jumped. Jesus Christ.

  • I'm 14 and I get headache and a stiff neck. It doesn't creep my out, it just hurts to listen to it. Which stinks, because I kind of like it. :(

  • Wow...an 'original Lavendar Town' video that is actually different!

  • It scares the crap out of me... but i still want it as a ringtone.

  • Though, is it bad that I like this?

  • This is amazing. I don't see any problem with it.

Bit then again I'm 19 and half deaf.

  • Ah, I'm wearing headphones and I'm under the age of 12...Eh. I've been looking for 15 minutes so I'll just listen anyways.

  • this one scares the shiz outta me... O_O

  • Comment removed

  • This ain't scary.It's one of my favorite tracks now.No headaches,either.

  • Once I read the "do not listen with headphones" part I ripped mine right now. XD

  • I bust out humming at 0:47. Ah, nostalgia.

  • This time around, I started getting itchy...

  • @PandaHero24 I always get itchy when hearing lavender town music

  • ....I actually like this version better. xD

...Though my left ear hurts now and I feel kind of dizzy. o.o....

    ...REPLAY! :D

  • @Animebeaan Same thing here

  • I come here every day and listen to it, with headphones. and I'm under 12yrs of age

  • @PandaHero24 Oooh, I bet you feel tough. :P

  • @PandaHero24 Some people have more sensitive ears then others, I guess.

  • pocke-t mon-sters........ ''poke'' ''mon''

  • my head hurts!! Dx

  • There should be a movie about this shit
