I just got tired of it and reinstalled the OS. I didn't have a disk but like I said in the video it was an incompatibility issue. There was a back up of the OS on the hardrive so I just used that. I never could figure out exactly WHAT caused it to freak out but I really believe it had something to do with vista service pack 2. I could NOT get it to install even with the stand alone. Sorry I couldn't help. That laptop and another was stolen this past dec. and I have a new one since then.

Continuing comment. A year ago I said that it was fixed. Reinstalling the OS was a temp fix. Maybe if you reinstall the OS and disable automatic Microsoft updates it'll help?
