First off I love The Skorpion Show, but Kevin, I have to disagree with you on the whole Chris Rene thing. Now I love Mel I voted for Mel and I am definately glad she won. But Chris Rene did his thing!!! He maybe more skilled and writing and playing instruments, but when he is singing his own music he does sound really good! In my opinion he was the most marketable but Mel voice won from the start! SHout out to all 3 Melanie, my fave JOSH, and Chris!!!!! I wish them all the best in their careers.

Anybody with a brain knew that Melanie was going to win. First of all she was the one they kept showing in the commercials, her and Rachel and plus if Simon is going to go all the way to Florida to go get somebody back, you think that person isn't going to win? I like Chris Rene. It's the depth and emotion of his singing, not necessarily his tone and sound. Plus, the words of his songs are the bomb! Congrats to Melanie, but hope the X Factor is more exciting next year and has a better line-up, cause this year was so so. They need better song selections. I could do without every competition show doing Whitney, Mariah and Beyonce.
Melanie does not have her own style, she's a copycat. All of her performances were copies of the original artists except for when she sang "Feeling Good" by Nina Simone. When she performed "All I Want for Christmas" she was Mariah, and when she performed "Listen" she was Beyonce and the list goes on and on. I wanted her to interpret a song the way Melanie interprets a song. If I wanted to hear Mariah, I'd listen to Mariah's CD. She has no originality, that album bout to be boring as hell. JMHO

Simon never actually intended to leave Melanie off. He sent her home for "drama" and planned on bringing her back all along. I actually got bored with X Factor and stopped watching, but Melanie was always my pick to win, I just wasn't sure if America was going to get it right. Melanie, Josh, and Drew were the top 3 IMO.

I am so proud of Melanie. She's been my #1 since I saw her audition. Her voice alone gives me the chills and makes me tear up because she has the talent that I've been craving for a long time. Even though she won the competition along with the Pepsi commercial and the 5 million dollar recording contract, we have to continue supporting her. That means buying her albums and/or singles on itunes. I don't want to see her flop. I want her to be this generation's Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston.

@kshel104 1) The Sunday Best singers are pretty average. 2) After hearing J-Hud belt Nina's Simone song in that commercial I was over it Melanie actually made me love it again the girl has a class A voice and I love both J Hud and Fanny but sometimes they tend to oversing. Anybody with a brain knew that Melanie was going to win. First of all she was the one they kept showing in the commercials, her and Rachel and plus if Simon is going to go all the way to Florida to go get somebody back, you think that person isn't going to win? She deserved this. She's the strongest vocalist out the whole competition. She has great things coming her way!

I disagree with you Kevin for once LOL. There is nothing special about her voice, she doesn't even hold her notes long enough, she just sings. There was NO one in this season worth 5million! No Fantasia's, No Kelly Clarkson's or even Jennifer Hudson's..... i won be buying Melanie's album.... sorry. XFactor has to get it together NEXT YEAR

I like Chris Rene. It's the depth and emotion of his singing, not necessarily his tone and sound. Plus, the words of his songs are the bomb! Congrats to Melanie, but hope the X Factor is more exciting next year and has a better line-up, cause this year was so so. They need better song selections. I could do without every competition show doing Whitney, Mariah and Beyonce.

Melanie does not have her own style, she's a copycat. All of her performances were copies of the original artists except for when she sang "Feeling Good" by Nina Simone. When she performed "All I Want for Christmas" she was Mariah, and when she performed "Listen" she was Beyonce and the list goes on and on. I wanted her to interpret a song the way Melanie interprets a song. If I wanted to hear Mariah, I'd listen to Mariah's CD. She has no originality, that album bout to be boring as hell. JMHO

Simon never actually intended to leave Melanie off. He sent her home for "drama" and planned on bringing her back all along. I actually got bored with X Factor and stopped watching, but Melanie was always my pick to win, I just wasn't sure if America was going to get it right. Melanie, Josh, and Drew were the top 3 IMO.

@tatatech listen I loved Chris Rene from day 1 but... and here's the big butt.lol he really has to work on his singing. I told my wife "he has a huge writing career ahead of him and in a few years after he rakes in mega money from writing huge hits he can come back with revitalized singing skills and do like Ne-yo or the dream and kill it. But he didn't deserve to win tho we can't even go down that rode and while were in the subject I would have liked to see Melanie and Drew battle it out!

No disrespect, but I disagree with you regarding Chris Rene. Melanie is amazing, but I also enjoyed Chris and I think he deserves a little respect. Not necessary to diss him like that. Again, no disrespect to you or anyone else, but I don't think it's fair to be so negative towards Chris Rene. He did not make it to the final 3 for no reason, and he definitely didn't show his A*^ like astro did, wouldn't you agree?

Chris Rene only got so far because of pity. When it comes down to the actual singing talent, he was no competition. Even Rachel Crow, Astro, and Marcus had a better shot at winning than him if people voted right. All-in-all Melanie deserved it

I am so proud of Melanie. She's been my #1 since I saw her audition. Her voice alone gives me the chills and makes me tear up because she has the talent that I've been craving for a long time. Even though she won the competition along with the Pepsi commercial and the 5 million dollar recording contract, we have to continue supporting her. That means buying her albums and/or singles on itunes. I don't want to see her flop. I want her to be this generation's Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston.

I listened to her sing on a few YouTube videos and to be honest, I'm not impressed by her at all, sorry. When you think "killed it" competition wise, I'm thinking voices like the winners of Sundays Best, Fantasia, J-HUD, not this Melanie chick. She is average as hell, but congrats on her win.

@kshel104 1) The Sunday Best singers are pretty average. 2) After hearing J-Hud belt Nina's Simone song in that commercial I was over it Melanie actually made me love it again the girl has a class A voice and I love both J Hud and Fanny but sometimes they tend to oversing. Melanie's voice is very smooth and clear not average.

and chris rene was over hyped up. yeah he writes songs, but he could NOT sing them. and his fans said he needs to sing his own songs, but as an artist, u need to know how to connect to ANY song n sing it wel. he can not sing. he was horrible wit the MJ tribute ep. i cant believe they let that even air. mj would NOT apporve of that version of his song he did. but chris had a certain spark ppl liked, but no talent to back it up. n he isnt that orginal (jason mraz+bad vocals+"rapping")

i feel as if for her career, she needs to step out the box more. amazing voice, but just stands there with a mic. she said she wants to mold her career after mariah, yet mc did more than just slow ballads. she has the same amount of up tempos as slow songs. so i say great job mel, BUT she has to do more than just stand still ballads. whitney, mc, celine, patti, aretha, etc ALL did not just sing slow songs, they sung up tempos as well, so mel, i hope u do the same
