@carbonrocket Why on earth would you put a 10-40 scope on a pellet gun? max range is under 50 yards.. even a 3-9 is alot of magnification for that range.

@ShootingStuffCanada I origionally had a 10-40x50 target scope on it but it was just too heavy also as you mentioned its very powerful indeed. The mamba lite is much better for general shooting and its 4-16x44, I do though shoot 16x almost all the time, 9x magnification is acceptable for many. I can and have shot a magpie at 55 metres and a rabbit at 47metres, always headshots mind you. I use the top magnification and the side focus to distance range, works for me and FT shooters alike.

My permission has a large pheasant shoot on it. The keepers raise the birds ready for their shoot in the pheasant season. I am on the permission to shoot small vermin only. I wont shoot a pheasant with an air rifle as; 1 I would be cast off the permission, 2 They are stupid birds and not sport for a rifle, 3 I dont like the taste.

Jord they are not vermin, they wander up to you to maybe 7m, I have plenty of vermin to keep me occupied.

@customtuned Same here, daft birds. These are ones left over from the prevoius shoots and they just roam around. They must know they are out of bounds and really take the micky. I love to watch them when the rabbits are hiding. The most I had run across a range I had set up was four, two cocks and two hens.
