  • "Skeptics" don't HAVE to wonder if they're deaf because of evidence like that, appealing to popularity or citing famous people on your side is an especially shallow way to try and prove yourself. A skeptic doesn't need prompting from a big name to examine her/his beliefs, that's what makes them skeptical and not, say, complacent.

  • I don't think there's a single atheist who would claim these people didn't experience anything. We are, however, saying that it wasn't because of some supernatural power.

Also, "one fulfilled prophecy"? i predict it will rain next month, and I predict I will become a millionaire. One of those will come true, therefore they all will???

  • Regarding answered prayer: Revelation is not valid to anyone except the experiencer. Revelation is not valid to anyone else as evidence.

Re all those Christians: None of them would agree about what God was. They can't all be right? So should that mean Mel Gibson should be believed or Clara Barton?

They could all be wrong. Why should we believe it.

  • There is a great difference between personal active God (Interventional Theism), a God that does not interact w/ this Universe (extrauniversal theism), a God Creator (Deism), and non-understood forces (Spinozan pantheism).

Kresta dishonestly lumps these together and misrepresents Hitchens' points.

Good and bad people do and do not declare themselves Christian, is there a point to be made?

  • The common denominator when it comes to witnessing a miracle, is that they are all human. Humans are flawed and our brains are not reliable...... especially ones that have the virus of faith.

  • Well, people will hate the Church because it is not of this world. So I guess it's better that they hate us like this than love us.

  • Helen Keller was an atheist

  • Cite your source please.

And remember that distaste for the bible does not = atheism.

  • If there is a question on the issue of God existence than "I would rather live as if God existed and be right, than live as if God didn't exist and be wrong."

  • @MexicoMissions well how you would you know you had the right god? Out of all the gods in the world you could never be certain you had choose the right one.

  • What an idiot.

Millions of unanswered prayers and one supposedly answered prayer is not evidence of anything, except probability.

  • Even if someone had come back from the dead, I'm not really sure how that proves that there is a god. In fact I'm fairly sure this does not prove it.

  • Another moonfaced baptist.

  • This guys logic is pretty sad.

All you need is one answered prayer to disprove Atheism? HILARIOUS.
