I watched this with my brother and his friends (who are hockey players btw) and they screamed like little girls... and I laughed at this movie and I'm a girl I was pleasantly surprised that Stark Sands was in it I loved him in American Idiot on broadway and talked to him 3 times
It's true, this movie got better and better as I thought about it. They had two levels of symbolism though. You can search it on filmsi.co.cc now. They had the blazingly obvious symbolism, like when the camera pauses 3 seconds on the knife and the lighter and stuff like that, and they had the deeper, much better symbolism that you only really get after the movie is finished and you go back and think about it.

I really liked this movie, but it's far from a remake. It has nothing to do with the original except for the names of some characters and a missile silo that's in the last 20 minutes. The first movie took place in the missile silo the entire movie which IMO made the movie really boring. This updated version IMO is more entertaining with edge of your seat action, but the old one has more story and character development, but tbh I prefer the entertaining reboot more then the old one, that's me tho
The ending has the most power, which I personally did not see coming until the last moment. But in order to create such drama, setting the pieces out on the board is the tricky part. It is on kookíca already available for you.

@4feelfear, I couldn't agree more about Ving Rhames being a hook!!! This is what's wrong with Hollywood today. They just keep pumping out crap and have realized that people aren't interested. So now they pull a P Diddy and take hits from the 80's and try to do a remake on them! But can't even make it close or better then the original. Which the original of this was never a big hit but I'll watch it any day of this crap!

This movie was nothing but a steaming pile of crap.
This movie made a 3 ring circus out of the Day Of The Dead title, and was a mockery of the original 1985 version. This movie is a circus, its a clown-show. Filled with bad acting, and painful stabs at humor - that just isnt funny. This movie was a fucking joke.
Id stick with the original - its a thousand times better. Because its a Classic.

After what was a really fun remake of Dawn of the Dead in 2004, this movie really could've taken the baton and done something really good for the horror genre. Instead it was just a cheap, hokey, throw together, embarrassing piece of crap. Everyone involved in this mess should be ashamed of themselves.
