Thank you so much for the video. My question is, what if I have a set of these and am controlling a flash but the guy next to me also has these and is controlling his flash with his. We were actually controlling each others flash. Any help would be so appreciated.
I got a bunch of RF-602's and they're great. The farthest i've use it was about 30 meters and it was working just fine. I see no real need to upgrade to the 603's. Good to see them working on making it even beter then it already was.
Only downside with the 602's is that there is no way to lock it down on top of the camera. Mine has fell off a few times.
This works really good but don't forget IT DOES NOT HAVE A SECURE MOUNTING FOOT, so if you are planning to use it get couple of hot shoe with locking screw!!! i dropped from 3mt high and still working but not my sb-800 ;(
Just a note.. do NOT buy no-name rechargeable batteries off ebay . These days they barely hold any charge.. like 1/4 of what you would get from something at Walmart. Always get brand name for reachable batteries. Also my aftermarket Canon battery holds very, very little charge. I had 2 of them run out in the middle of a wedding and lost video footage. Always get a Canon brand battery if you're serious about your batteries not running out.
hi, can i mount my flash on the transceiver's hot shoe on top of the camera and use the another transceiver as a remote shutter? will the flash function as normal?
Great video. Very good producttour. Do you know of the remote camera trigger function works in combination with the yongnue mc-dc2 to minijack adapter cable? This cable works with the 602 series but i'm not sure if it will on the 603. This so i can remotely trigger my Nikon D 90. Thanks!
thank you very much, I just got these, and the included instruction manual is no where near as clear as your instructions! You should write for Yongnuo!
At 11:04 you trigger the camera and SB-800 with the same transceiver. How do you know the SB-800 is being triggered by the transceiver on the camera hot shoe, and not the transceiver in your hand? If the SB-800 is not triggered by the transceiver on the camera, the flash will likely fire before the shutter is open.
@nomislaw No, there's no dedicated "test" button to trigger off camera. That's an important feature that they didn't implement. The next best thing to do is connect the 603 to the camera hotshoe, wake up the camera to initiate connection to the 603 and then press the 603 button to send a "test" trigger to the remote 603s. Not ideal but it works.
Great review... Can i purchase 4 of them and have 1 trigger 3 flashes? just curious?

Great video, do you know if the older rf-602 had the wireless shutter trigger feature as well?

what is the difference of the rf 603 with the rf 602?
20madcar 9 months ago
@20madcar The RF-602 has a dedicated Receiver and a Transmitter-- The RF-603's are Transceivers

@spaming4you You can hear the shutter click. The remote in his hand makes the camera shoot which in turns sets off the flash.

Hi. Great unboxing !! You've given answered to many questions that i've been searching for... There is still not much info about 603s around.
Is there any way to trigger flash with TRX offshoe. I saw that it's not possible right away, but i hope there is some trick to do that.
Good job :)
