omg :D he´s using some filling parts between picking patterns and chords that can´t be heard on the studio version! I´m looking after these since a while & now I found usable material to study ;-)
For those of you who don't know the story.... Robert Plant asked if there were any requests. An audience member shouted "Babe I'm going to leave you" . But Jimmy Page started playing Stairway to Heaven instead, for the first time since 1980 when Bonham died. It's never been played by them since.
Robert Plant was surprised that Jimmy Page even started playing Stairway to Heaven because Plant refused to perform that song ever again without the full band (RIP Bonham) thats why they didn't play the whole song.
Interesting. They could have played the song till the end minus the solo, the great ending. Still a great perfomance, though their hair was a little oudated.
David Coverdale singing hahaha??

Plant looks really happy while he's singing this...like he's living in another time, where Bonam hadn't died.
