i dont now if you now this but you should run it with a body over it in winter time. 2 reasons: 1 engine never is going to get to running temp,2 if a pile of snow comes up and hits right below the heat sink the metal will shrink dramaticlly in size and the piston will be rubbing against the sleeve and will probably cause some damage.
my batteries died 10 feet from me and it got pinned right for a brick wall right before it hit it went up the drivway 20 yards away and the brakes kicked in. this happened the day after i got it.
depend how you tune it!!! my home made t-maxx was awesome with the .21, but you are right it's not really powerfull but at 75 Canadian bucks, it's not bad at all... ;)
run it with a body in snow and wet shit it will fuck up your servos and dude in the cold your throtle cable will get stuck and youll have a run away not fun
hey thats nice wish i had all that on mine. mines all stock sept the tires and the roll cage. hey is over heaten normall in summer for the t-maxx 3.3?
i never own an original t-maxx, it was a magic wheels, updates to a bigblecked .21vertex engine with home made extended frame.... now it still nothing from smartech magicwheel, and my engine is now an axial .32 with all robinson racing gears, dynamites axles(6) shafts ribinson racing differential gears... and more more more, so i have no mess with this truck now!!! :)
My Revo 3.3 doesn't always shift as it used to and I have adjusted the shift timing in 1/8 turn increments. I have gone both ways and havn't gone more than a total of 1/2 turn total in eather direction. This hasn't made much if any difference. I did notice that my truck wouldn't wheelie so I tightened my slipper clutch hoping this will help. Can this be the reason my truck isn't shifting? Please help as I am new at this.
you should read some forums to know how to tune the enggine, transmission, glow plug, you have a lot to learn my friend, it can be only a bad engine tuning???.
my exo carbon kit is backorderedjato3.3. i got new rear tires to. im not putting them on cuz ill just blow them off tho. i ran short venom nitro lines. starts quicker and its not a messy mess inside.
no, i do nothing, the snow don't melt untill the truck was in the house, so there no water on it. the servos are already waterproof, you can waterproof the receiver with a condom of balls of hollyday(put inside, need a little hole for the antena). and after my running time, i remove the battery from the truck to let him dry complete.
One thing I notice when I run my Kyosho in the snow is that the heat from the engine will melt snow in nearby areas. The engine is then at risk for sucking moisture through the intake, so it is wise to look at isolating the air cleaner from direct moisture.
do you find it handles any better with the locked diffs? ie. does it udersteer more or less and did you have the front or back locked . thanks
