@Champi0n1Sk8er If it is the bit I think you mean then it is a stabilisation strap. There is a plastic clip socket that hangs off the main strap and you can pull the stabiliser under your left arm, over the ribcage, and connect it. The idea is that it prevents the bag sliding around you with awkward loads.
Sounds weird I know, but it actually works pretty well.
@Deadlyriot1994 Really you need to look at how much I fit in the smallest one, and then establish how much stuff you need to carry. That was the idea of the video, I do not know what you will need to carry and as such cannot tell you anything useful.
I have a bailey works messenger S, and I'm telling you man, nothing beats it IMO. removable and swing switchable split strap with a quick release. hand made, 2 velcro pockets, one with a divider, a water bottle type slot, 2 more pockets inside 70-30 width split, the 70 with a zippered internal subdivision, really strong velcro, easily removable sternum strap if you're not REALLY a cyclist, comes in tons of colours, and holds a crap ton of been cans. the S can hold 48 beer cans.
I have a metropolis bag, and i LOVE IT. The mini metro is good but what he is not showing you is him carrying the bag with all his stuff in it. I am in grad-school and I need to carry my laptop, text books, and library books all at once. I find the metropolis bag to be the only Chrome bag which can handle all of this. I use to have a citizen but it didnt cut it for grad level work.
Whenever I see this bag it's pictures or videos of it full of beer. Is it only owned by alcoholics who have gotten DUI's and can no longer drive to the beer store? Thanks!
@spiceydude69 LOL! Thats funny, but I just think its geared towards young men 21-30 age group who enjoy BEER! Proof God loves us! :) No old alcoholic is gonna pedal a fixie 40+ miles a day reguardless of his driving record. Just some times when youre out pedling you wanna grab a six pack or two.
@spiceydude69 lol that be dumb on there part cuz theyed violate the probation by having it full of beer and maybe riding the bike drunk cuz in some states it counts as a dui to ride a bike drunk aswell and you get it as if you were driving a car
@bluenerve I suppose that depends if you are surrounded by idiots really. It's a bag and it works quite well on a bike. If a courier carries things all day you would have to imagine a bag for that job would be a good bag for ... being a bag.
@clioch93 The Metro can hold a ton, as you can see by this video. I also have a medium-sized Timbuk 2 (used for 12 years), and the Metro holds more than the Timbuk2.
@clioch93 I'd not mind it being bigger, I sometimes feel it is too small but I think that is oddly because it is big for the size and once used to that you kind of forget and try to overfill it.
The super strong velcro in the video has basically failed on mine, bad batch I'm sure, but their customer support has taken MONTHS so far to help me with it, and still has not.

My MBP 13" with a fiat case fits pretty much exactly, so no. But to get the larger size up bag is not much more expensive, I sort of wish I'd bought that one simply so the macbook had a bit more room inside. The bag opens massively in depth but the width is obviously fixed. Get a Citizen or Metropolis.
@nailerr When you carry your MBP, how much room do you have left (gimme an estimate in notebooks or textbooks or everyday travel items if you can) while still not worrying about putting too much pressure on your Mac?
It opens up really wide (away from your back) but the 13" MBP inside a padded foam sleeve comes very close to the edges of the bag and when wearing it can pull on the sides of the MBP a bit, so yes, overstuffing is a concern for me as it seems that whatever is piled in the extra room would pull into the lid. Generally though I might take some lunch to work, u-lock, psp, book, ipod, phone, charger, bike stuff etc. Mini Metro = minimal hauling by design.
best investment i have ever made, man. it makes sysling a hell of alot easier, esp for couriers. i can pack two nights worth of clothes, and bike to berkley(from alameda.) 1400cubic inches of death! i dunno how many the metro has, but the kremlin has 3000!
Yeah, that video showed a tight fit and I sort of would like the larger bag, Citizen or perhaps even the Metropolis, since they pack down so flat when empty, why not?
whats the strap that lies under the velcro strip on the upper left corner or like on the side for?

And how will this bag work for light parkour? Will it hug my back tightly?
bluenerve 1 year ago
@bluenerve I suppose? It pulls up quite well if you want it to.

Really love this bag. I know this kind of a stupid question but would I get shit for wearing this bag even though I am not a messenger/courier?

Yeah, I got a white and black citizen and its perfect for my things. Including my laptop.

You'll not regret it, I'm sure. Was lugging my PS3 and Macbook around in mine today. Not a light load.

hey im like (5'2) short and will the mini metro be good as a school bag in high school or should i get the citizen.
TooFastTooGood 1 year ago
Well I have no idea what you would be carrying, so... Judging by the content of the video can you estimate? The citizen is that, but bigger.
