Whenever this happens, you should file a counterclaim, as was explained in the take-down letter. If the video's were all your content, then say so in the claim. If it's all your content then no problemo, it will all work out, but if you infringed, then just remake the video without that particular song, or video-clip or whatever, and then re-upload the new one.

False DMCA's have been used on youtube before. When a counter notice has been sent, the douce who filed it in the 1st place then posted all the contact info for everybody to see.
The reason youtube does not ask for proof of ownership, is because by law they can't. If someone files a DMCA takedown notice, they have to take the video down. By law the poster of the video then has to file a counter claim, and prove they have the rights to post it. The law is flawed, but YouTube has to follow it.

You know it may not be an atheist responsible for this. There are several other religions on Earth and a few of them have a grudge against Christianity.
I googled "youtube false dmca" and found some interesting articles. Filing false DMCAs is a crime and has been punished in the past; a rodeo was forced to pay $25,000 for filing false DMCAs. Google says that almost 40% of DMCA filings are not legitimate. YT & google, though, are doing nothing to fix this obviously broken & easily exploited system.
When other people have suffered through underhanded tactics it has helped their subscriber count in the long run. I hope it does the same for you and in some way makes up for all the headaches you are going through now.

Although you have my full support I need to take you up on one of the statements you made. When you said that when this thing happened to atheists we blamed christians and vice versa.
When atheists were falsely DMCA'd on two occassions we KNEW it was a Christian that did it as it was VFX. Right after his second spree, trolls issued DMCAs in Shawn's name but most of us knew that it was a troll or were 99% certain it was. When Christians have been DMCA'd they have immediately cried atheist. Never once showing that was an atheist and maybe not another demonination of Christian, Muslim, Jew or anyone else. That's why we get annoyed when someone like Brock or Geerup accuse us.
I was trolled last year and got suspended for nothing, I would not mind I only had two subs and was not popular as some on here so it stills makes me think.
These trolls need to get a life, none of us are safe, if we all gang up on them they will get the message.
I think your doing the best thing, by learning all you can before taking any action, to be well informed is best! And your right about not blaming all Atheist, Agnostics, etc.. Many of my friends here on Youtube, even though I'm a Christian, are Atheist. When we can only define people by their beliefs or lack thereof, we not only limit them, but ourselves. You need to stop assuming you know what others believe. Pigeonholing people is lazy if you can't be bothered to get to know someone don't tell them what they think it's beyond rude and there is no excuse for it.
