question im only 16 so i cant do this but still... say i sit down at a table and other people are already playing... do i still start counting at 0? I didn't understand how there could be previous cards already in play and the count still 0? as soon as I sit down I start counting from 0?

@Mattyboy320 Well I think what you mean by percentages is basic blackjack strategy which is essentially a series of charts that tell you when to hit stick or split etc. depending on what cards are on the table.Basically card counting lets you know how many high cards are left in the deck so when the count is high then most of the low cards are played and you get higher hands and the dealer has a higher chance of busting since they have to hit if they are below 17.

@leonidhaimov it's not illegal but casino's are considered private property, so if pit bosses suspect that you are counting in black jack then they have every right to ban you from their casino. and the rule boards at casinos say that patrons aren't responsible for the transactions of your chips, so they can probably take your chips at will if they wanted to. i think

okay. just guessing for people that dont understand. i think the whole deck adds up to 0. so if you have a total of -3 on the field, you should guess that the next number is going to try and get it closer to 0 so it should be a positive number ( 2 3 4 5 or 6)
LOL I learned to count by this video and I took my income taxx money of 3,500 and played sd das, rsa, surrender anytime and if you double down and ur double down card is the same as the card under it you can decide to split. With ym little understanding of the game I knew that at a count of zero with these rules since it is advertised as full pay I knew I had the advantage. So at negative counts I bet the table minimum of $5 and at neutral and positive counts I bet $100-150. Played for ages.
My third time playing that game I get a tap on the shoulder and a team of security guards saying your an unwanted guest its time for you to go. With my intellect I was able to take 2 weeks of commiting basic strategy to memory and a week of training from this video and be a force to be reckoned with by casino personal. @lSaif In hendheld games where you have to play the whole deck, meaning no mid deck entry... Single deck games you want to increase at a tc of +2 which would be a running count of +2, DD games increase at tc of +2 which would be a running count of +4, in a 4 deck game you would want to jump in at a tc of +2 which is rounded off or a rc of+7. 6-8 decks are tricky and you should jump in at a tc of + 2 again which would be between 10-12 but its up to you. tired need sleep message me for more

That is why the true count was invented so that you would have a number where you would know what to do at no matter how many decks you are playing with. WHen you use the running count you are betting at different times in the running count in every single game. For example you would jump in a dd game at +4 running count in a 4 decker you would jump in at +7 both those rc's are rough tc's of +2
You want to play as many + counts as possible since that is when you have the advantage and not play that much negative counts since that is when you dont have the advantage. However you must play some - counts because a player that is only playing + counts will be known more quickly as a card counter. So even though + counts is when you have the advantage it pays off in the long run to play some - counts because your stay in the casinos will be longer.
@plymouthpatriot You use a spread. after you make the running count into a true count. if the true count was +2, then you would x2 your initial bet. if uoi were betting $10 a hand, then you would bet $20 on a TRUE count of +2. a running count means nothing until you convert it to your advantage... the true count. hope this helps. (you convert the running count into True count by dividing the running count by the number of decks left to play.)
@theglitchen By that question I believe you mean how do you know how many decks are left. You should be able to determine how many decks remain in the shoe by looking at the discard tray. If you are playing 8 deck and you see that there is about 2 1/2 decks there and the running count is at say 11 then you know that there are 5 1/2 decks left in the in the shoe and 11 divided by 5.5 would give you a true count of 2. rc of 11 in a dd game with 1 1/4 decks left gives a TC of 6.
@roccoownzu2 You are correct. The hardest thing is memorizing basic strategy which could really be as simple as memorizing one paragraph worth of words. And memorizing basic strategy is no harder than memorizing a song or a cd of songs. Almost anyone can do that. After you have basic strategy memorized then you take a deck of cards without playing the game and count throught the deck until you have reached the end and it is zero. The goal is to count through a deck in 30-35 seconds. Wala
@potboys What is the common number of decks they play with in casinos over here in England, i am beginning and counting is largely and American thing.. so it seems. I'd like to know more about it in the uk mate.
@potboys You then need to convert the running count which is what the + or minus number is to the tru count. You do that by dividing the Running count by how many decks remain. I like to use half deck true count conversion in 4-8 deck games, and quarter deck true count conversions in single and double deck games. From there you need to choose which kind of game you will be playing and figure out the optimum time to increase and decrease your bets according to what the tc is.
By that you may increase your bet in a double deck game from the minimum at a Running count of +4 which would be a true count of roughly 2, however in 4-8 deck game's you would want to increase your bet at a running count of around +7 which would strangely enough be about a true count of +2. You would want to increase your bet with every + increase in the true count and decrease for every decrease in the true count. From there you are ready for casinos. Unless you wan to learn I18 and fab4.
Before you learn anything about counting you want to learn what is known as basic strategy without basic strategy even with counting you don't have the advantage. If you want tips on learning basic strategy message me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I can take say what to do on 50 possible hands and shrink it down to about one or two very short sentences.

When the count is negative and neutral you want to bet 0 or the table minimum. When the count is positive it means the casino no longer has the advantage over the player but the player now has the advantage over the casino so there you would want to bet more.....

counting cards is no longer possible, in today's casinos.. its obsolete and can't get the edge you used to get in the 80's or 90's... it makes no sense to do that.. u must look for other strategies.

The whole point is that if there is a positive running count in the game there are more high cards which result in more blackjacks and better cards. you bet minimum when the count is negative, and bet high when it is higher in the positives.

okay. just guessing for people that dont understand. i think the whole deck adds up to 0. so if you have a total of -3 on the field, you should guess that the next number is going to try and get it closer to 0 so it should be a positive number ( 2 3 4 5 or 6)

LOL I learned to count by this video and I took my income taxx money of 3,500 and played sd das, rsa, surrender anytime and if you double down and ur double down card is the same as the card under it you can decide to split. With ym little understanding of the game I knew that at a count of zero with these rules since it is advertised as full pay I knew I had the advantage. So at negative counts I bet the table minimum of $5 and at neutral and positive counts I bet $100-150. Played for ages.

My third time playing that game I get a tap on the shoulder and a team of security guards saying your an unwanted guest its time for you to go. With my intellect I was able to take 2 weeks of commiting basic strategy to memory and a week of training from this video and be a force to be reckoned with by casino personal. So I am so sorry that you had to pratice more than others brother I really am. But maybe some people are just smarter than you. lol Fucking lame-o.

@potboys and that was 3 years ago. Still going strong but not as strong for cover purposes so that I can play at any given venue a little longer. So stick that in ur pipe and smoke it. With a good single deck game and a modest bankroll you can afford to have ur max bet out at neutral counts. So y not play that way if you know when you have the advantage. If you cant strong ball the casino like that there is no point in playing the game. Losers.

The running count at the end represents your chance to get a card -- having a + 2 means there are 2 more cards (10 - ace) in the deck remaining, meaning you have a higher chance of getting those cards.

OMG Wait there is more I won 75% of my insurance bets. whic means I olny have a 12.5 percent chance of losing my bets, a 37.5% chance of pushing, and a 50% chance of winning. But reall the pushes cancel each other out so really I got an 80% chance of winning huh... previous post first... But wait I am counting I have a 20 and the dealer has an ace showing.... The count is +12 now still 10 rich... That dealer has a 10 under there most likely... Ill take insurance please. And btw I am about 75% in my insurance correlation. So really omg I only lost $250 instead of $1000 against the dealer. Oh and I normally spread to two hand during times of blackjack frequencys so omg I just increased my odds of getting blackjack from 50% to 66.34. Dont sound even.

If the count is +7 that means 7 more 2-6's have been played then 10-ace's meaning your chances of getting a 10- ace are dramatically greater meaning your chance of getting a blackjack or 20 are greater meaning you should have more money out at that count than a count of say -7 because that means you are more likley to get a 2-6 and in negative counts the dealer is most likely going to win. Single deck games you want to increase at a tc of +2 which would be a running count of +2, DD games increase at tc of +2 which would be a running count of +4, in a 4 deck game you would want to jump in at a tc of +2 which is rounded off or a rc of+7. 6-8 decks are tricky and you should jump in at a tc of + 2 again which would be between 10-12 but its up to you. tired need sleep message me for more

divide the running count by the remaining cards to be dealt. Many players use the 1/2 estimations. When you are a beginner, use full decks for your calculations.
Here is an example for a six deck game.
You have determined that the running count is 12. You look at discard tray and see that three decks have been played which means that there are still three deck remaining. You divide the running count of 12 by 3 and you get a true count of four.

That is why the true count was invented so that you would have a number where you would know what to do at no matter how many decks you are playing with. WHen you use the running count you are betting at different times in the running count in every single game. For example you would jump in a dd game at +4 running count in a 4 decker you would jump in at +7 both those rc's are rough tc's of +2

You want to play as many + counts as possible since that is when you have the advantage and not play that much negative counts since that is when you dont have the advantage. However you must play some - counts because a player that is only playing + counts will be known more quickly as a card counter. So even though + counts is when you have the advantage it pays off in the long run to play some - counts because your stay in the casinos will be longer.

@plymouthpatriot You use a spread. after you make the running count into a true count. if the true count was +2, then you would x2 your initial bet. if uoi were betting $10 a hand, then you would bet $20 on a TRUE count of +2. a running count means nothing until you convert it to your advantage... the true count. hope this helps. (you convert the running count into True count by dividing the running count by the number of decks left to play.)

@theglitchen By that question I believe you mean how do you know how many decks are left. You should be able to determine how many decks remain in the shoe by looking at the discard tray. If you are playing 8 deck and you see that there is about 2 1/2 decks there and the running count is at say 11 then you know that there are 5 1/2 decks left in the in the shoe and 11 divided by 5.5 would give you a true count of 2. rc of 11 in a dd game with 1 1/4 decks left gives a TC of 6.

@roccoownzu2 You are correct. The hardest thing is memorizing basic strategy which could really be as simple as memorizing one paragraph worth of words. And memorizing basic strategy is no harder than memorizing a song or a cd of songs. Almost anyone can do that. After you have basic strategy memorized then you take a deck of cards without playing the game and count throught the deck until you have reached the end and it is zero. The goal is to count through a deck in 30-35 seconds. Wala

@potboys You then need to convert the running count which is what the + or minus number is to the tru count. You do that by dividing the Running count by how many decks remain. I like to use half deck true count conversion in 4-8 deck games, and quarter deck true count conversions in single and double deck games. From there you need to choose which kind of game you will be playing and figure out the optimum time to increase and decrease your bets according to what the tc is.

By that you may increase your bet in a double deck game from the minimum at a Running count of +4 which would be a true count of roughly 2, however in 4-8 deck game's you would want to increase your bet at a running count of around +7 which would strangely enough be about a true count of +2. You would want to increase your bet with every + increase in the true count and decrease for every decrease in the true count. From there you are ready for casinos. Unless you wan to learn I18 and fab4.

@Grundalizer Any real players do not use the running count in the game They use what is known as the true count... But the running count is profitable if you know when to bet it... When the count is negative and neutral you want to bet 0 or the table minimum. When the count is positive it means the casino no longer has the advantage over the player but the player now has the advantage over the casino so there you would want to bet more.....
