Es ist eine Schande zu sehen wie solche vollidioten, welche es nicht einmal schaffen den Karabiner richtig zu laden, mit dem Sturmgewehr unserer Großväter schießen!!!
Might not be your fault. Some of the stripper clips are missing the insert that the rounds slide against. I've encountered this many times with WWII era ammo. Perhaps due to wartime shortages?
I have the garand is semi auto matic so you can crack off more rounds, and it has less recoil because the operation system absorbs some of the energy, but the 8mm round is more powerful than .30-06, both rifles are fabulous weapons though
i own both a kar98k and a m1 garand. to me the garand is better because of being semi auto and having much better sights. the en bloc clip is also much faster to load then the stripper clip.
Here in AUS we don't have that problem. At all our ranges it's strictly single shot only,if you were to load up your mag you'd get kicked off the premises...no excuses.
becouse the u.s. arm themselves how they want is why 13.000. people dies in gunshot wounds per year, in swe we got 29 deaths in gunshot wounds per year, and even less criminals procentual. suck it ignorant fuck
ARE YOU FUCKING RETARDED!!!!!!!!!!!! if u were a criminal the scaryest thing to encouter is a 12 GA. semi-auto shotgun or a high powered semi-auto rifle pionted right between your eyes
Yeah mate, no shit, it's that strict you got to see it to believe it. The other day my mate got his ass kicked for walking around with the muzzle of his rifle pointed to the ground.....go figure!!.
I'm coming over to the states in the near future, one of the things i want to do is go to a range and hire a semi auto assault rifle. I've not fired one since i had to hand mine in for destruction with the new gun laws. All semi autos are banned here now.
I have never had a problem....most people have problems because they are too "soft" with it. Push it down good and hard....dont baby it because your not going to break it...trust me..
solution for yor clip trouble, instead of pushing down on all of the rounds and getting them all jammed up, try grabbing the first round with your index finger under the point and thumb on top the shell case pushing down on all of the rest keeping the first shell in your fingers straight as you can with a downward motion. I had this trouble and loading this way fixed it.
Pardon me, but how did you fix your stripper clip loading problem, I seem to have the same problem as the man here.
It is just that my s.clip is stiff and when I try to load the bullets in, they are just stiff and dont want to leave the clip. I've oiled the clip up and all, but still the bullets dont want to move.
If its too tight bend the sides outward for a looser fit. Remember as I stated above dont just push the whole stack of rounds down with your thumb, grab the first round and keep it horizontal pushing it down will push the rest under it down straight and this should help you load better.
hey i just bought a russian captured k98 today to replace the yugo pieice of shit i bought on sunday but its to late today to shoot it so how dose urs shoot?
Last year, around my birthday, I went to a gun show and bought an original bringback K98. It shoots great, and I would highly suggest this gun over all other WWII guns. It brings accuracy, reliability, and everything you would want in a gun to the table. The price is a little more, but I can honestly tell you, ITS WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY.
Even though I have never shot a Mosin Nagant, from what I've heard it is extremely unreliable. Go for the K98!
I would like to know who your sources are, the Mosin nagant is not un-reliable. I have owned two Mosin Nagants an M91/30 and an M44 they were both extremely good weapons for the money. I payed $98 for the m44 after tax and $145 for the m91/30 because it was drilled and tapped (scope mount included) and had a bent bolt. They are not as much a peice of art as the mauser (it is the perfect bolt action imho) but its more of a tool. but they are not unreliable. :)
Great Mauser! Speed

How does the K98 compare to the M1 Garand? Anybody shot both?

@ dictatorship23
The M1 Garand would be more comparable to the German K 43 (semi auto with ten round mags) in function and price.

Okay, I'll try and give it a little bend, hopefully that will work. If not then Ill just load by hand.
