  • is the tune hp and tq at the flywheel or wheels? seems pretty high for just those few mods either way

  • im confused why you are putting so much money into the V6? i mean i have a 99 V6 myself but im doing a few mods and cosmetic work. u seem to be going all out and i just do know why u would just use that money to buy a 4.6 or better

  • Basic 4.2 block with a Ford Windstar intake manifold and a cam is a cheap way to go, and a set of 3:73s from Ford racing, get you in the low to mid 14s, 100 shot then 12-13s,

  • @urdadddy1 it still gets about 26 mpg on the highway, but that'll change once i rebuild the motor and supercharge it. that'll be about 2 months from now

  • @StevenBTT hold up, before you judge, you should know that its still in the works. i'm rebuilding the motor to a 4.3 and supercharging it with a blower from an 03 cobra. what do you drive? geo metro?

  • @sadelano i drive a 2004 mustang gt, intake, or x pipe, sct tuned 93 oc, and have a 2.1L kb sc in the mail.

    and idc how fast it is, its american muscle. you keep it simple.. if i put a fag body kid and hood on my mustang when its done with the sc.. ill be a ricer.. but thats not gonna happen. rice isn't necessarily slow, its how stupid it looks for its class..

  • @StevenBTT so let me get this straight. you dont care how fast it is, as long as it doesn't look stupid. but you think saleens look amazing. so even if the saleen was slow, its okay cuz it looks good. but a v6 putting 450 hp to the wheels cant look good? and the reason for the hood is i didn't want just a regular cowl hood to fit the supercharger under. and i'm not gonna mis-represent a supercharged v6 by putting on a full saleen body kit.

  • @StevenBTT i know its not a saleen. but whats the difference between two supercharged mustangs puttings down 400-500 horsepower? i'm not trying to argue with you, i just dont understand why i cant have a good looking mustang, with good power, for a lot less money. and i have a v8, thanks. 3 of them, actually.

  • @sadelano because it will never be a true saleen... but like a non shalant kit.. or just ditch it all and put on the stock bumper with a mach 1 chin spoiler just for a little more effect.... you'll get so much more respect..

  • @StevenBTT honestly, i dont care too much for "respect". i want it to look the way i like. and when its done, it'll be a mixed look of aftermarket. i'm putting on roush side exhaust/rear valences. so saleen front end, roush rear end. taking what i think the best of two appearance kits and putting them together. because I like how they look. so if you have a problem, watch videos of mustangs that have stock kits. i dont want mine to look like every other mustang on the road.

  • @StevenBTT respect has nothing to do with it, body kits and bumpers are there for your choosing, some prefer certain aspects of certain manufacturers kits so they put the together in that fashion, you cant bash another cars appearance if it is within reason, for instance a stalker bodykit on a mustang with a shelby rear bumper, or a shelby kit with 3dcarbon skirts, dont hate appreciate....and make fun of ricers

  • @ADD8oi any car can be rice. if you rice it its rice. body kits = rice unless its from the factory, like roush, saleen. etc.

  • @StevenBTT all depndant again, upon what is being put on the car and for what purpose, i personally can guarantee you i have a 6er that smokes GT500s and is still streetable, but true, and even nice cars can be rice, all up to the driver mate

  • @StevenBTT To all ppl that are clearly mentally challenged. Kits from roush,saleen, shelby,steeda. etc companys are not considered factory. not even close. EVEN IF YOU ORDER A CAR DIRECTLY from one of those modified mustang DISTRIBUTORS. They are not factorys for mustangs. IT is not a ford factory where the mustang is manufactured from thousands of parts, hense it is not factory. They are aftermarket producers of parts whom sell mustang with theyre parts kits fully installed. You DAMN RETARD

  • @S281Emustang people consider "factory" if that's how they come from the dealership. you could order a saleen, or a roush from the dealership and that's how they came...individually numbered and specific VIN noting it's a specific model. it's completely different than buying a base model v6 of gt and getting a body kit online.

  • did you have any problems combining your BBK TB with the spacer? any clearance issues?and did the spacer do much of a difference?

  • @99stangkid i dont know how much of a difference it made, but it definitely made it so you could hear the intake side. whistles real nice. however it does make it so the intake tube is really close.

  • @susheelover yeah thats exactly where i got it. i wouldn't recommend getting the stalker bumper from them. dont get me wrong, i like the saleen style-ish look, but it doesn't fit well. you gotta trim the foam under the bumper, and there isn't nearly as many attach points to secure the bumper. if you want the look, get an actual saleen bumper. thats what i'm gonna do eventually.

  • r the v6 pretty fast i know there not compared to the 4.6 but overall r they a pretty good motor? by the way nice ass mustang

  • its not bad. youre right, it doesn't compare to a 4.6, but as far as 6 cylinder engines goes its not too bad. definitely not compared to the 6's in nissan 350s or anything like that. but theres definitely potential for the motors to put out over 500 hp, which is pretty respectable

  • @MrStunna8 it's a reliable motor, but don't be shocked when a newer minivan blows your doors off.

    the 3.8 as in that mustang was the same motor from the windstar minivan.

    i'm proud to inform you though that ford is now taking V6 mustangs seriously and the 2011 is a real winner (305hp) and will trounce my 2001 4.6L V8 no problem! it's about time too, for the last 18 years, V6 mustangs have basically been a joke.

  • nice, i love the saleen body kit, i have one on mine, and thats the hood im planning on getting also, im going the cheap route with exhaust, with 2 thrush welded mufflers(which i love the sound of) an x pipe and pacesetter headers, yours sounds really good though

  • Where did you find the throttle body spacer they don't do much but they make the car sound a lot cooler. If you could send me a mail of the website. americanmuscle only has it for v8

  • haha yea my friends say it looks like i'm ready to take if off roading. the only problem is my headers lower the clearance quite a bit, and the speed bumps in my apts are ridiculous. i already scrape if i dont take the bumps the right way

  • I got the same red color just like yours on my 6 and i love it. I got the 03 cobra conversion on mines with the GT rear bumper, 98 cobra rims, lowered on eibach, 40 flowmasters,CAI, SCT chip, Kyb shocks.. BTW I wish I can do two wheel burn outs.. Nice 6er bro..

  • sounds like youre just getting your numbers from first gear. numbers dont get too high until 2nd and 3rd gears. the number i have in the video is from the end of my 3rd gear going down the track

  • dude sweet u have the sctlivewire tuner. how mutch hp and tq did it add for u cause i have the same one

  • i'm not too sure because that number came after all the other parts had been put on. the biggest thing it's done for me so far is recalibrating the rear axle ratio, changing the fuel octane, tire size, etc.

  • i dont remember how much it cost all together, but theres 2 ways you can do it. either swap the rear axle for an axle out of a gt mustang, which i should have done, or buy a traction lock differential. looking back, its cheaper to just get the rear axle from a gt

  • if you really want to make it strong make sure to get 31 spline axles instead of the 28 spline. 3.73 gears make it fun, too. anything higher and gas mileage is as good as a semi

  • at the wheels. its approximate, since its on a tuner instead of the dyno, but i weighed my car and put that number into the tuner so it should be pretty close

  • thanks man. so far all i've gotten down to is 15.4, but there was another 6 there that was stock, running 16.3. so that was a pretty good indicator what my bolt ons have done for me
