@zalien6 it does not run Flash, although in some cases there are ways to get around that. Hulu won't work. I know CNET has an Android app and you can watch their vids through that. Not sure about IGN.

It objectifies and debases women and trivializes and mocks things that should be considered sacred. I avoid it and strongly suggest you do the same.

@hipolito632 Well there is rumors that the triumph is going to be at least 300... and this phone is only (curently) 150 till the triumph comes out. i say buy this phone.... theres barely any difference between these 2 phones. the triumph has flash, bigger megapixel camera with front and back, and has a bigger screen...which means the battery sucks on the triumph. the lg optimus v is still up to date...but i recomend this phone! :)

The battery life is decent if you turn off background data and turn of your data connections when you're not using them. The WiFi is plenty fast for watching YouTube videos, surfing the web, etc.

@sk8er93250 the Optimus V does NOT have a front-facing camera, so you cannot do video chat on Skype. The connection is fast enough to watch YouTube vids and listen to Internet radio. You can also get browsers like Opera Mini that load up pages fast.

@thereeceecup the biggest downside is that it doesn't have Netflix! :) I really feel that for the purchase price and the monthly cost, it's one of the best smartphones out there. I'm not tired of it yet (and that's pretty impressive, considering I'm a tech geek always interested in new and different gadgets) and it seems to be holding up to my daily use.

How does this phone compare to say an ipod touch? I used to have a jailbroken ipod touch and loved it, but unfortunately it broke.. been looking to upgrade phones and this looks like the one! @lorddresefer performance is not quite as zippy as the Third Gen iPod Touch, but good enough for most apps. Screen size is 3.2" - smaller than the iPod Touch at 3.5" but doesn't affect e-reading as you can adjust text size. Screen resolution is not as good, but good enough for most apps. Web browsing speed on WiFi is comparable. It's not the same quality as an iPhone or iPod Touch, which is why it is half the price. Still, I don't think there's a better deal on a smartphone for the price.
