  • LoL

They had the HUGE tit chick talking about the advantages of Silicone. ;-)

I can't believe she had to point to the dude's watch as an example of where we see silicone. She could have just pointed at her nips and said "yup, these puppies were DEFINITELY worth $8,539!!".

  • @azdgariarada silicon and silicone are different things

  • @24853765 I know.

I was just attempting to be humorous. ;-)

  • I love when British people say "Harry Potter" x}

  • jugs...

  • Debbie flustered at the end because Brady shot a glance at her boobs when he thought she was going to mention breast implants.

  • @illustriouschin lolz i hadnt thought that way

  • It's no Harry Potter...lol

  • I found Silicon chunks on the train tracks by my house.. Unfortunately i've lost these samples. :(

  • sheesh, You have any idea how many hookers I can get with that money? If I got a hold of the book from the library I could probably get someone to hand type it up for for only $2,000, if that. Otherwise, photocopier!!

  • @gredangeo good for you kid, good for you. what now, want a cookie for that?

  • @somberlight oooh, cookie! Chocolate chip? Better not be raisin.

  • tities

  • psh.. just get it from piratebay!

  • hey, the 15 volume landolt-bornstein set is only $47,898! save $9,351!

  • lets here it for silicon!!

  • "ummm"

  • NMR sounds like Enema. What is read cannot be unread.

  • @cwelihinda Unless you say it with an American accent.

  • Hey brady, do you think you could do a video of just neil and the stuff he does

  • boobs

  • what's the difference between NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging)?

  • Comment removed

  • Brady wears same model watch what i had 20 years ago :D

  • nice TITILIRIUM .

  • Harry Potter and the very special Silicon isotope.

  • funny thing is if that's on your bookshelf and you house gets robbed i guarantee the burglars won't touch it because they'll think it's a worthless piece of crap

  • Debbie's big and lovely MARRIED boobs. Keep dreaming guys. :P

  • bill gates spent 30.8 million dollars on the Codex Leicester making it the most expensive book ever sold

  • some one needs to make a pdf of this book maybe for free.

  • Now only £3411! Bargain!

  • $8,539, that's a silly con!

  • Everyone making Silicon boob jokes: Anyone with substantial amounts of silicon inside them is not attractive, they are dead. Breast implants are made from *silicone*

  • @sevenheadedweasel Silicone contains silicon.

  • @Every1Tubes What is your point? elemental silicon is entirely different then a compound that *contains* silicon.

  • imagine in 30 years our kids will ask "whats harry potter?" i feel old now -__-

  • "its no harry potter"

  • I think Debbie is a babe

  • @chaderotti

She's a robo-babe. In Latin, she would be called "babia majora". If she were a president, she would be Baberham Lincoln.

  • Debbie is awesome!

  • Seems to me that the scientist is trying to fund his research by selling his research data through this book.

  • I bought four. It's a thrilling read.

  • Debbie I invite you for a cup of coffe and you can talk about the elements all day long to me...I _WILL_ listen.

  • thumbs up if you heard "enema machine" at first :D

  • Brilliant + Beautiful = Awesome!

  • @AgentCROCODILE You mean periodic table?

  • its funny how this book is over 7000 dollars when a peice of uranium ore is only 40.00 dollars

  • Just download the torrent for the .pdf save yourself $8000...

  • @lacerta999 I doubt anyone has put this out on any torrent site.

  • @kristijanadrian I have no idea what you're trying to say in your first paragraph, but I wouldn't exactly call this hysteria, if that's what you're implying.

  • Silicon is in lots of things, just not her breasts.

  • My only question - does it have a machine readable copy (a CD) inside the cover?

  • Also, a simple way to sum up what they said in the video:

It takes the same amount of money to research and write the $8,000 book that it does to research and write a $200 science textbook. But Whereas 200,000 people might buy the science textbook, only maybe 1,200 might buy the silicon-29 book. BUT on the other hand, it's worth a LOT to those 1,200 people, so they can justify charging that much to cover development costs.

  • @indalcecio: Does anyone know what the print run on the book was?

  • Part 2 is better.

I just hope they don't ruin it in the film adaptation.

  • She adds beauty to the videos.

  • i think she is very sexy and hot personaly guys

  • she has good style for a nerdy chemist =)

  • Stop zooming in............. ZOOM OUT!!!!

  • i'd like to skin debbie alive.

  • First of all, let me thank you for another informative video. I really admire the mission of your channel and appreciate the effort you put into it.

But there is another thing that I just have to throw out there, whenever I see a video with Debbie in it:

HOT DAMN, THIS WOMAN IS THE BOMB!!!

Please forgive me for a primitive statement like this on such an intellectual channel, but I just cannot help it.

  • lol she answers question better than all my teachers

  • I'd understand paying $8,539 for a book authored and signed by Dmitri Mendeleev.

  • Can't wait for the film version

  • It now costs 7,679.00 dollars..... I want that book........

  • how can a smart person have such confused eyebrows?

  • I worked with NMR on an internship. Pretty awesome stuff. Liquid helium and all.

  • @seahawk124 ROFL

  • That is a University joke. The "Book" written by sciencemasters for sciencemasters by Head Sciencemaster Grayhair; initial cost 1000-groats, book buy back value 100-groats at the Student book store: A groat is a science fiction currency, I think it is based upon a measure of grain, anyway, resale value is dim. If you have to rebuy, keep.

  • I found a torrent on this book, haha.

  • Why would one want to buy such data in the the form of an unquerieable book instead of any form of digital data? Isn't such a book pretty much useless?

  • its only 5,375.30 $ now!

  • someone take a hit for the team and buy it, put it on torrent for the rest of us!

  • The price went down to $7679.00. However, part 2 in that series is still pretty steep at $9,439.00. But hey, at least you can get FREE Super Saver Shipping.

  • @memprime: I imagine that for anyone who really needs the data it's a whole lot cheaper than digging it up yourself. And I imagine most of the profit goes to the printer, not the authors. I know that best selling science fiction writers usually manage to earn between 25 and 50 cents per book sold, and I imagine that any profits in that way probably go back into the grant that is supporting their families while they do this work.

  • that books cheap

i found a book on amazon for

    $9,060,796.80 + $3.99 for postage

  • @iwan0t0smith i found a CD-ROM for $3,778,489,963.85

  • @mafl25 It must contain information on how to build a time machine.

Information about the meaning of life is free since each individual find one themselves.

  • @iwan0t0smith $3.99 for postage? What a rip-off!

  • I'm going to buy this book and make an audio book version where I read it to you.

  • It's probably on PirateBay by now.

  • she is pretty

  • so yeah....she's probably the hottest woman i've ever heard and seen.

  • Shes pretty and smart what a woman i love the facial expressions

  • sexy.

  • nice watch Brady!

  • Expensive book?

Go to amazon and search for

    Mrs. Skagg's Husbands

    Price: $7,642,906.24

    loooooool

  • at least the Kindle version is free...

  • ok so i went to amazon to have a look.... seriously do it! check out the review/comments they are HILARIOUS!!!

  • how do you see the comments & review

  • They are quite fun to read.

  • Well, hard covers tend to be more expensive anyways. ;-)

  • ko hieu gì hết trơn cã

  • ahahahaha vay ma coi lan gi XD

  • Let's try and keep the comments witty, eh?!

  • I imagine this video will result in dozens (if not thousands) of mash notes and love letters being sent off to Professor Debbie. And rightfully so!

  • google is your friend..... who needs to spend 8grand on a book? And why wasn't breast implants mentioned as one of the major reasons to care about silicone?

  • You are confusing silicon the element transition metal, and silicone the man-made polymer (plastic).

  • well she mentioned some polymer examples too

  • Search "Happy Rob Buy" by google ,and you will find amazing.

  • Really? Silicone was mentioned that many times without a breast implant reference? :)

  • I wouldn't be surprised if this was on my required texts for next term.

    book prices are ridiculous.

  • It doesn't sound so special, but if it's widely used then maybe it's more special than it sounds.

  • My phys teacher has a book listing physical properties of materials at different temperatures. He says it cost about $600 (back in the 80s when they were only on the 167th edition :)

%8500 is ridiculous, though. They're just asking to have it pirated.

  • the pirates would have to buy it first and how the hell would the people that are intrested in such a specific book gonna find the pirates.

  • P.S. #2

The silicon thing is cool too...

  • I find Silicon 29 so interesting, please have this Sir Debbie host more videos XD

  • Intelligent and beautiful, I just love that combination =)

  • Where's the professor guy, you know, the guy that looks like Hal Holbrook?

  • British sexy!!!

  • Sir Debbie is shexy!

  • haha the camera guy has a calculator watch!!!

  • He is very proud of his retro Casio collection.... The solar-powered one is even better!

  • @periodicvideos I have 5 G-shocks I <3 Casio watches xD

  • ok, hope they sell this book well

  • can someone explain who is this lady?

will she be part of team?

will somebody answer the last 2 questions?

  • Debbie has always been part of the team... see her on our Beryllium, Boron and Bismuth videos, for example.

  • @brilliantfranz

3 Answers a- She's a physically & intellectually attractive human of the XX variety that (I think) goes by the name Deddie. b-She was the voice and dissolver of sodium in the "Amalgams" video back in 10/06/09 c-No, I will not entertain your 3 questions

  • jeez - - for 6 thousand quid - I'd want a car chase or 2.... and pop up pages....

  • Professor Debbie is made of WIN.

  • Professor Debbie is great! She's a wonderful contributor to these videos! :)

Love these videos. You guys (that's a non-gender-specific term!) rock!

  • Expensive man...can buy other books in large amount.

  • im disappointed with this video. i didnt get to see the old guy's awesome hari. :(

  • Nice...and you're right: my life without NMR would be much much harder.

Anyway.....I don't care if those guys took silicon NMR's of every molecule on the planet. 8 grand is a year of rent!!!

  • Man I've waited so long for a new video! This was very interesting. I would definatly not want to pay for this book but you can never have enough knoledge and for that price you must learn a lot!

  • that's right, Matthew, the more you pay the more you learn.

  • Who is this Debbie person???

  • Debbie's one of the PTOV chemist's... She's in several videos including Boron, Beryllium and Bismuth (which I only just realised all start with B)

  • Must come with a life time supply.

  • I read it, silicon 28 was better.

  • Always the same with sequels.

  • I find Debbie so attractive

  • very informative I would have to say!

  • This year's summer blockbuster book. The critics are heralding it as "An engrossing thrill-ride", "Action Packed", and "A bunch of tables". If you read one book this summer, it better be this one: Londolt-Bornstein - Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Data. In stores now.

  • not toally surprising the book isn't available to download for pirates either!! =o) at the end for a moment I thought she said "silicon enema"

  • Very well done.

  • It better be captivating

  • Thank you for the information.

  • I don't understand a word she said but I enjoyed watching her say it.

  • You should do more videos on isotopes since you have finished the periodic table.

  • I agree.

  • She kinda looks like Kate Winslet

  • very very very very important video with lots and lots and lots and lots of information about Silicon 29, not Silicon 28 or Silicon 30 but Silicon 29!! XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD

  • the professor is brillant but i was meaning the nice lady professor, wish i had her as a lecturer when i was studying

  • Your much better looking than the professor, any chance you could do more

  • how dare you proffessor is hot.. lol pure buffness

  • i actually have a pdf file of this book, downloaded by torrent, LOL

  • I dare you to print a copy of it! lol

  • why would i do that if i have the E-book?

  • I was just kidding, hence the "lol"

  • Brady has one of those watches with a hundred buttons! Do you have keep a matchstick handy for pressing them?

  • Gosh, you could almost fund a Ph.D. for that.

  • My favorite chemist! She is sooo cute!

  • Pretty interesting, given that I have an exam that is based on NMR this term. I would never buy the book though. XD

  • not if its a 1st edition

the worlds most expensive book is worth 16 million euros i think. its a gospel

  • You had me at Dear.

  • And I thought the book's price was just a misprint.
