This is what is known as "unethical" hunter behavior, and it gives all hunters a bad name. First, the shot was poor. Secondly, the hunter sat and watched the fawn suffer. Very, very poorly done. Guys like this should have their licenses revoked.

spine shots happen in bowhunting,but man you got to put another arrow in that deer asap. you should take the hunters safety course. enexperienced and poor hunters do stuff like this.

sad to see the doe attack the fawn. well, she's not really attacking the fawn, just the perceived threat based on the fawns' cry. I hope you did indeed do what you said you did and get down and dispatch of the fawn quickly.

You are so damn sick to enjoy watching this young doe suffer. YOu could not even get down knowing it was spine hit and cant go anywhere you could have slashed the animals throat or done something to end the suffering.

That was an awesome video. Good shot and, yea fawn is the best. I usually grill 'em whole on the 4th of July. Every year people can't wait for me to cook 'em. Shots like that do happen but, I would have done the same thing you did. You did take the other deer too, right? Then follow up on the fawn. Nothin' better than a 2-fer! Never seen anything like that other deer trying to help the other, I guess.

Killing a fawn is your own thing, but instead of going for the doe, maybe you should have put another arrow through that fawn to put it out of its misery.

Actually I am an avid deer, waterfowl, and turkey hunter. I'm huge saltwater fisherman too. I have harvested many whitetail deer, some nice bucks included. I agree that shots like that happen. My comment was based on your reaction to a negative post. Your language and response gives sportsman everywhere a blackeye. I do apologize for my attack, but learn to represent hunters in a more positive light by educating someone who knows nothing about our sport.Again,I was wrong for my rude reply.

stuff like this just happens when hunting, yes the shot was a bit high but a spine shot is a fairly painless kill what was seen was mostly pannic from the fawn. not for the weak of heart.

No tracking required there bro,,great shot and dont listen to negative comments. Its hard seeing reality and not understanding,alot of people have never shot a deer and dont realize the reality of killing. Better to shoot and drop then to have em run away and be buzzard and coyote food. Did you miss the doe or get her too?
