they didn't, they said tout petit tout doux tout rond et tout mignon, meaning 'totally small, totally soft, totally round and totally cute'. i KNOW tout means all, but totally is more suitable in context. no, i did not use a translator.
I know. I'm just commenting on the abstractness of direct translation. Obviously there are no words for "willy" and "nilly" in French considering they're not even "real" words in English. I find it amusing is all. My comment was sarcastic.
@Hannahbell1000 Sorry, should have made that clearer and pointed you to the comment I wrote a year ago in response to others who thought I was being serious indicating that I was commenting on how interesting translation can be and that by no means was I implying "willy nilly silly" COULD be translated, given that only one of those is an actual word in English, lol.
@LIAMMADEMEDOIT oh my god you do NOT have to get so defensive! i was originally trying to help you, and now you're just being snarky. I'm very sorry I didn't know you were being sarcastic and I hope you have a wonderful day.
omg , sa m'rappelle des souvenirs de quand J'avai 2 ou 3 ans , ma mere me louait toul'temps c'te film là (pour les interessés , cétai l'édition VHS de 1981...super rare) Bref , j'capotai sur c'te film là.. :P
I visited the grave of Sebastian Cabot not long ago. He's buried in the same cemetery as Marilyn Monroe. What a great man. Thanks for posting. The sound of Sebastian's voice has always soothed me. alas your clip is in french..and isn't his voice at all. But it brings back great memories. thanks
When this opening was used on "Winnie-the-Pooh and a Day for Eeyore," they redid the whole soundtrack! They even changed the cuckoo clock sound, and Laurie Main was the narrator instead of Sebastain Cabot.
They had to cast Laurie Main to do the narration because Sebastian Cabot had passed away after "The Many Adventures." That short was the last Eeyore voice-over recorded by Ralph Wright, the original voice.
Coco (Rabbit) and Piglet (Porcinet), Owl (Maitre Hibou - Hibou means "Owl" in french) and then Winnie, our hero. Winnie the bear,m winnie the bear, Small, soft, round and cute. Winnie the bear, winnie the bear, Surrounded by all his friends!"
Translation of the song lyrics: "In the world of Christopher Robin (Jean Christophe), a secret garden is hidden. Where an enchanting world lives inside the heart of the forest. There's Eeyore (bourriquet), the donkey, Kanga (Maman or "Mom" in english) and little Rooh (petit Gourou),
I never noticed, but Christopher Robbin has two sets of boxing gloves and a shotgun.

@LIAMMADEMEDOIT There's not (: They say 'Surrounded by all his companions", instead of "willy nilly silly old bear". (:

God Bless Walt Disney. Without the man we would never enjoy such classic characters and movies he brought to life on screen.

yeah man, what he and his team of people did has inspired me for life. Where did this kind of stuff go? :(
