I would like purchase Viking Knit Lazee Daizee Tool but I live in Padoua, near Venice, and it's seems impossible find it here! Could you help me in that way? Thank you very much!
I recently purchased Viking Knit Lazee Daizee Tool -Thank you! However, I'm having a little problem making the end cap. I cut the the end wire at the beginning of the rod - but it's difficult to get it out- the coil gets out of shape- I'm not doing it right- can you help me?
Thanks for the clarification regarding the two different stitches. I am really excited about this kit and contacted Beading Daily after they did an e-mail newsletter segment on Viking Knit. I bet there are lots of potential customers on that list who will want one of these. You really have a brilliant invention here! I will be at the Down The Street Bead Show tomorrow (Sunday, June 19th) in the Atlanta area and would love to buy one of these there if I can.

No, they are two different stitches and techniques. Viking Knit is really more of a weave and worked on the outside of the rod. If you a referring to the method using a spool with nail heads that is more like a true knit stitch. Viking Knit is faster because you are simply making rows of loops that stack upon each other. With the spool method you are lifting one stitch over another and the stitching is inside the spool. . Hope this is helpful.
Wow! That new tool really does make it simple! I was wondering if this stitch is the same as the one you get on a spool knitter. I have one of those and the result looks very similar. Is it the same stitch?
Thank you for your comments. You are not restricted to 6 stitches on the Lazee Daizee tool. You can work 3,4, 5 or 6 stitches. It will accommodate 20-30 gauges of wire in single, double or triple weaves and more. All this tool does is make Viking Knit simpler and faster than traditional methods - the weave itself is simple. I invented the tool because teaching the traditional way was tedious, frustrating and time consuming for students and for me. Sincerely, Stephanie Eddy
looks kind of dumb, as you are restricted to 6 stitches. an odd number of stitches on viking looks much nicer, and really, viking isn't that hard to do. also, how do you do double knit viking on it?
Yes, if you are left-handed you would simply make clockwise loops working around the tool to the left, holding it in your left hand, working the wire with your right.
I was not familiar with the Viking Knit weaving techniques and I must state that I am truly impressed with your ingenuity. I look forward to purchasing your invention and learning this art form that I will be able to incorporation with the handcrafted jewelry that i creat.
How inlightening!!! thank you

Left-handed demo
Put a mirror up to the screen, watch the video in the mirror and it will show the steps in "left hand" mode. ;o)

Would Lefthanded people then need to work in a clockwise motion?
