I also love Tarja and I want her back in Nightwish. Anette is a good singer too, but she is not Tarja and never will be. She was ok in "October and April", a very lovely song. Don't get me wrong, Tarja was good. But I feel like I'd rather the band were happy with how they were going than unhappy - as it can be seen they were in the open letter. Tarja most definitely has a great voice; but Anette is better for the band and in my opinion has just as great a voice just in a different style.

the reasons you have just described are the main reasons why Tarja is so much better than anette. anette's voice is alright, but she just can't work that kind of magic the way tarja does with her voice. the actions of the rest of the band were extremely passive aggressive and selfish. why don't the other nighwish fans realize this?

I don't want to bash Anette, but I honestly can see why so many people don't think she measures up to Tarja.

Oceanborn is my favorite Nightwish album...it's so beautiful, and Tarja's voice is both powerful and subtle enough to work with each song. Anette could never have recorded most of the songs on the album, at least not with the quality of Tarja's singing.

Mind you, I think Anette works well with the post-Once Nightwish, but as I said, I prefer Oceanborn by far.
