Nonsense. Religion tries to censor science. Islam and many Christian groups would dearly love to ban the teaching of evolutionary theory! They constantly present straw man (lies) arguments in a perverted attempt to to discredit the overwhelming evidence for evolutionary theory.
i dont really have anything against people believing whatever they want to but creationists are just ignorant, its not just the fact they are ignorant to science but they're ignorant to their own religion, if they did any research into what they believed they'd realize that taking genesis as literal is actually unchristian as it contradicts the belief of exegesis and this whole conservative religious take on the bible is actually a very modern phenomena
Look at what science has discovered just in the few hundred years of recent history? After all the earth used to be the flat center of the universe and everything revolved around it. Of course we all know this is nonsense. Science is always progressing. Religion however is unchanging, it gets everything it knows from a static book. Reinterpreted maybe, but still the same stories. Science will throw out stories when evidence demands it. Religion makes excuses.
Those who think that there are questions that science cannot possibly answer are limited by their view of history that only encompasses time to the present. Who can say what science may be able to comprehend 10,000 years from now. How about 1,000,000 years from now?
I agree. Science is still in its infancy. In this short time everything it has touched has brought about a greater understanding of our place in the universe. We know longer burn witches when animals become diseased.
Yep absolutely with you guys. We seek explanations. But our gaps in knowledge are less filled with the supernatural as time goes on. I think god will be no different.
The world is no longer flat my friends - and people who have 'faith' that it is - do not understand our history for hocus pocus.
I think you misunderstood me, I do personally hold the opinion that God exists.
No man walks around really curing sick people though, including Tom Deckard. It's a scam. If they can really do it, why not go to the hospitals and cure everyone? Why reserver his talent for an audience?
Ok srry about that then, but no he does offer that if someone gets a test (so theres proof they have AIDS) and a blood sample he will heall them thats why its up to 800 now but he gets visions and travles around the world to worn people. Have you ever watched billy meier. I suggest you watch this, i think you will like this.
Has this been proven by the scientific method? e.g. Accredited centres of research. or are they videos made by con men and women. Have they ever cured amputees? I DOUBT it ! It always turns diseases that might be misdiagnosed or that the person didn't have the particular disease (like aids) to begin with.
The billy meier is a amputee because he got in a car accident flew out the window crushed his arm the Tom Deckard has medical records of him healing people that had AIDS look it up.
I asked if they have been investigated by accredited centres of learning e.g. medical schools, universities, scientific journals. Direct me to an authoritative sources. If you only have shitty sources such as second rate YouTube videos which are dubious to say the least, or some cheap commercial TV station. Then I won't waste my time.
And I'm not religious. I believe in God. It is two very separate and distinct things. There are many things that are a thorn in the side of "religious" people, the main one being most have no idea what it is they believe in the first place.
sigh. yeah of course he has buddy. and noah fucked his sister and we were all born (or at least some of us) a bit spaz. why does he 'heal' only AIDS victims i wonder and not amputees. or some other incurable disease like stupidity. that would be a miracle.
What is sickening is that some, not all, religious groups esply.proselytizing fans of Xianity, stage fraudulent, instant miracle cures on the stage in the name of God or 'his Son'.One hears of STORIES of religion curing instantly.Science is far from being able to do so at present but yes,may be able to get close to such ability millennia later. The time dimension is a barrier for ALL of us floating in the 3-d. space, and it can only be transcended by ways not yet mastered by any human being.
There are many things science can't explain yet. I'm not saying it won't eventually explain them, but I doubt it for some things.
First, of course, is the existence or lack thereof of a god. Most religions are easily explained away. We can see that zeus doesn't sit atop mount olympus, etc. The idea that some Will brought our reality into being is much more difficult.
Another good example is choice. Using science, prove that freewill does or does not exist.
If god is omniscient then we ca not have free will or choice. He must have known before he created the universe that I was going to type this comment. Therefore we cannot be held responsible for our actions.
If the religious claim that god is omniscient then we cannot have free will or choice by default. This is because he must know all our actions before he created the universe. If he knows every event that is going to take place before they have happened then all of our futures must be determined. This is a thorn in the arse of the religious i.e. they want to shout we are all sinners and must change! But how can we when we do not have free will or choice?
Again, the idea that what you will choose can be seen ahead of time has no bearing on whether you chose it or not or whether you have free will. You have no tied together those two ideas.
If I was able to travel in a time machine, see you choose the blue ice cream over the red, then traveled back in time and knew that's what you were going to choose, my witnessing would have no bearing on your decision.
I ask again, do you believe in free will and if so what is your explanation for it?
'Omniscient: having complete or unlimited knowledge, awareness, or understanding; perceiving all things' (dictionary)
Your going back in time argument doesn't hold water because this wouldn't mean that you are omniscient. If God is omniscient then would know what you were going to be a time traveler before he created the universe, therefore you wouldn't become a time traveler by choice as you have no free will. All of our lives would be determined i.e. we don't have no free will.
Again, the fact that another "will" has awareness of what you are going to do has no bearing on whether you were able to choose freely.
3 times you have repeated the same thing, 3 times I have asked you to actual connect it to the argument at hand. 3 times I have asked you where free will comes from if you believe in it. 3 times you have ignored it.
If you actually have a Ph.D. I am not sure where you got it or how you could have. Your reading comprehension is not very matured.
My imagined situation has nothing to do with God. I placed a witness to a choice ahead of time of that choice. That witness would have foreknowledge of said choice, but NO resulting impact. The choice could still theoretically be "free" even if another consciousness knew the outcome already.
I think your main problem is you have never explained to yourself what "free will" actually is or how it is possible. This is also why you refuse to answer my question and continue to repeat yourself.
If you believe believe in omniscient god , then this would mean that we cannot have free will (including the time traveler) by default. All our actions would be known by the omniscient god before he created of the universe. . The time traveler would not be acting under free will. The time traveler would only be acting out the will of god! Even as a secular debate the free will v determinism argument has not been resolved.
The free will v determinism argument can be presented as follows: Algi (free will) met a bear (determinism ), a bear met algi, the bear became bulgy, the bulge was algi.
Which means we have the feeling of free will and are determined at the same time! Free will and determinism appear to be one and the same thing! This goes against our reasoning. The Free will v determinism argument still rages today. It has never been resolved.
oi man 1day i was in the woods n i think i came across algi n the bear...and you know what i did? i found myself a nice big leaf from a tree and took the biggest damn dump in it and then flung it towards the sky and the WHOLE GAME was to see WHO would it land on FIRST!!!
man me and algi had an awsome time, we go way back now.....but recetnly i came across another bear named bulgy and i think i fell in love with her bulge now bulgy and i play the throw the leaf of shit into the sky game everyday
No matter what I say you are going to repeat the moot point "If God is omniscient then we cannot have freewill because he knows what we are going to do"
The fact that I know this has no bearing on your choice to say it. I will give you all sorts of philosophical paths to go down and you will continue to say that same idea. You DO have a choice though, even though I KNOW you're going to say it again...
The time traveler could (note:COULD) be acting out of the free will that an omnipotent and omniscient God was able to give him.
I'm tired of you banging your head on this wall though. I want you to tell me where you believe free will comes from. I don't want a "the debate still rages"...I want to know what YOU think. You consider free will to be a thorn in the side of those who believe in a higher power, I will show you it is just the reverse.
I'll say it again. If there is an omniscient being then we can not free will by default. If god knows all our action before he created the universe then all our actions must be determined. I do not believe in an omniscient god, therefore I have the possibility having free will. In fact I do have free will! This is why I am telling you to go and fuck yourself., or could be it that I have no free will therefore it is god who is really telling you to go and fuck yourself!
If you don't believe in free will, then the universe makes perfect sense. My actions as well as yours are dictated by stimuli, and electromagnetic and chemical reactions in our brains. We are a pair of dice being rolled with our resulting number only being influenced by the arrangement of our molecules, wind, gravity, friction, etc.
If you DO believe in free will, where do you believe it comes from?
See in my opinion, free will is one of the greatest pieces of subjective evidence FOR God.
If you believe in evolution, you would think that it's more naturally superior for a horse to evolve wings and fly. If we don't have unicorns then the theory of evolution is flawed.
You obviously no nothing about evolution. Evolution does not have a goal to head for. see Dawkins Climbing Mount Improbable. Click my user name, play lists, Climbing Mount Improbable. I warn you now that if you're a typical creationist cretin I will block you as I have no time for retards, and this is my channel.
Well said. Actually you grant them more rights than they would allow a non creationist on their channels. They delete comments they don't like and block the makers of it. Indeed why waste time on people that during their normal day time won't even think to buy and read a good science book? You must be braindead to be/become a creationist. There is simply no cure available for it.
I would recommend getting yourself through Philosophy 101, then trying to make it through some Logic courses. Flawed logic follows patterns, and though that comment was an excellent example of such, it isn't for the reasons you think.
Creationists don't follow a methodolgy they simply lie. Polkingholme ( the ordained priest)in this viseo isn't a creationist, he believes that science has by in large got it right, meaning 'the big bang' and evolutionary theory are correct. He still believes in god but offers no proof of one.
You just contradicted yourself then by saying the priest agrees and believes in creationists views and what they say scientifically.. and that creationists are liars. Can't be both, I'm afraid.
The ancestors of the horse did learn to fly, they are called bats. The horse is a particularly good example of evolution by the way, It is a very complete fossil records with all transitional forms available. The horse stared out as a dog like animal, before that it has common ancestry with other mammals. Horse ancestors survived by moving onto the savannah to eat veg, rather than jumping out of trees to eat bugs, which is no doubt why they had no selection pressure for wings.
The code for each protein is contained IN the DNA/RNA system. However, proteins are REQUIRED in order to manufacture DNA. So which came first: proteins or DNA?
I see that your really a brainless creationist shit who pretends he's asking valid questions, your a time waster and a blatant liar.FUCK OFF. You must be used to being told to FUCK OFF you Cretin.
av1611truth.Want answers? then do your own fuckin research, get some decent books on the subject. As if someone like Richard Dawkins would be stumped. Go and fuck yourself.
YOU BUG OFFF!!! YOU ARE JUST YELLING AT NOTHING! Why should we even be close to believing your evolutionist crap any day soon huh? So JUST SHUT UP AND LAY OFF!
Proteins have been created in primordial'slime'(the only word understood by creationists in the evolution of humankind) in conditions discerned as similar to the early oceans. So the answer to your question is proteins came first. But as science always asks the right questions instead of providing the answer first, science, although doubting will eventually get the answer.
I think theosophy would be a better subject for you to study, science doesn't seem to be your bent.
plz google: Scientific miracles of the Quran, 1300 year old verses explaining with extreme detail: the Big Bang, human evolution, Astronomy n planetary orbits, as well as revealing superhuman mathematical codes. Also check : Mathematical miracles of the Quran!
Anyone can come out with quotes or make up quotes. It does not mean they are true. These were written by men who didn't have the benefit of advanced science. The bible is wrong all religious ancient texts about the creation are wrong. Science has shown beyond doubt the the creation as described by the bible does not correspond in any way to scientific discovery. Where does it say in the bible that there was a huge explosion?
By denying the Bible you are Fulfilling the Bible, "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts" 2nd Peter 3:3
The beauty of religious texts is that they can be used to prove any thoery. You fullfill that statement.
Neither science nor religion succeed in their true quest, which is the to answer why and how. No matter how macrocosmic Science gets, existance will probably beat it in scale. It just gets more and more complex. And no religion even gives credence to the question "Where does God come from?"
And yes, it does matter, as much as any of this matters. If it's possible for God to "just exist", then why isn't it possible that we "just exist"? And science only can contemplate what is observable fact, so it really only answers the "how" of what is observable. Evolution is clearly fact, but again, it only answers how, not what the signifigance of the event may be. Likely, we'll never understand, so fuggetaboutit
How do you know science wont succeed? The scientific method (still very young)has greatly contributed to our understanding of the universe.Imagine-if the human race is still here in a million years time-the tremendous leaps science will have made.
Strangely enough a priest can be a vicar or vice versa according to the dictionary. They are the same thing. He is a Catholic as he follows Christianity. There are only different ways of following Christ e.g. Protestant Catholic, None Conformist, Puritan etc.
1. the attempted reconciliation or union of different or opposing principles, practices, or parties, as in philosophy or religion.
2. Grammar. the merging, as by historical change in a language, of two or more categories in a specified environment into one, as, in nonstandard English, the use of was with both singular and plural subjects, while in standard English was is used with singular subjects (except for you in the second person singular) and were with plural subjects.
True science cannot merge with religious faith otherwise it ceases to become science. True science does not look for a super natural agency to explain phenomena.
My source wikipedia. Read or browse the whole article. It's mostly to do with religions merging. It has nothing what so ever to do with science. Simply go to wikipedia and type syncetism in the search box. I expect you now to back up your argument with a reliable source. If you do not I will simply block you for being a time waster at worst for being a creationist. I'm waiting.
The term may refer to attempts to merge and analogize several originally discrete traditions, especially in the theology and mythology of religion, and thus assert an underlying unity.
Syncretism also occurs commonly in literature, music, the representational arts and other expressions of culture. (Compare the concept of eclecticism.) Syncretism may occur in architecture as well. There also exist syncretic politics, although in political classification the term has a somewhat different meaning.

Religion makes excuses.
falcompsx 3 years ago 12
Those who think that there are questions that science cannot possibly answer are limited by their view of history that only encompasses time to the present. Who can say what science may be able to comprehend 10,000 years from now. How about 1,000,000 years from now?
humanist7117 4 years ago 8
I agree. Science is still in its infancy. In this short time everything it has touched has brought about a greater understanding of our place in the universe. We know longer burn witches when animals become diseased.
DrMontague 4 years ago
Yep absolutely with you guys. We seek explanations. But our gaps in knowledge are less filled with the supernatural as time goes on. I think god will be no different.
The world is no longer flat my friends - and people who have 'faith' that it is - do not understand our history for hocus pocus.
Bring it on science.

Check out Tom Deckard, has had open visions for 31 years and never has been wrong and has healed 800 people that were diagnosed with AIDS.
BLUCOPPER123 2 years ago
I think you misunderstood me, I do personally hold the opinion that God exists.
No man walks around really curing sick people though, including Tom Deckard. It's a scam. If they can really do it, why not go to the hospitals and cure everyone? Why reserver his talent for an audience?
fatsomamacheese 2 years ago
Ok srry about that then, but no he does offer that if someone gets a test (so theres proof they have AIDS) and a blood sample he will heall them thats why its up to 800 now but he gets visions and travles around the world to worn people. Have you ever watched billy meier. I suggest you watch this, i think you will like this.
BLUCOPPER123 2 years ago
Has this been proven by the scientific method? e.g. Accredited centres of research. or are they videos made by con men and women. Have they ever cured amputees? I DOUBT it ! It always turns diseases that might be misdiagnosed or that the person didn't have the particular disease (like aids) to begin with.
DrMontague 2 years ago
The billy meier is a amputee because he got in a car accident flew out the window crushed his arm the Tom Deckard has medical records of him healing people that had AIDS look it up.
BLUCOPPER123 2 years ago
I asked if they have been investigated by accredited centres of learning e.g. medical schools, universities, scientific journals. Direct me to an authoritative sources. If you only have shitty sources such as second rate YouTube videos which are dubious to say the least, or some cheap commercial TV station. Then I won't waste my time.
DrMontague 2 years ago
And I'm not religious. I believe in God. It is two very separate and distinct things. There are many things that are a thorn in the side of "religious" people, the main one being most have no idea what it is they believe in the first place.
fatsomamacheese 2 years ago
I dont see the other comment, but Noahs ark is found on some mountain that is called 8 men something idk dont really care, at the moment.
BLUCOPPER123 2 years ago
sigh. yeah of course he has buddy. and noah fucked his sister and we were all born (or at least some of us) a bit spaz. why does he 'heal' only AIDS victims i wonder and not amputees. or some other incurable disease like stupidity. that would be a miracle.
19995700 2 years ago
What is sickening is that some, not all, religious groups esply.proselytizing fans of Xianity, stage fraudulent, instant miracle cures on the stage in the name of God or 'his Son'.One hears of STORIES of religion curing instantly.Science is far from being able to do so at present but yes,may be able to get close to such ability millennia later. The time dimension is a barrier for ALL of us floating in the 3-d. space, and it can only be transcended by ways not yet mastered by any human being.
balumuthu 3 years ago
Or they are simply realists.
Using science, prove that freewill does or does not exist.
fatsomamacheese 2 years ago
What if the day you die and you expect that, thats it but it isnt and he is real what would you do say think ect?
BLUCOPPER123 2 years ago
If god is omniscient then we ca not have free will or choice. He must have known before he created the universe that I was going to type this comment. Therefore we cannot be held responsible for our actions.
DrMontague 2 years ago
God's status of omniscient or not has no bearing on the existence of free will and choice.
Do you believe in free will? And if so, where do you think it comes from?
fatsomamacheese 2 years ago
If the religious claim that god is omniscient then we cannot have free will or choice by default. This is because he must know all our actions before he created the universe. If he knows every event that is going to take place before they have happened then all of our futures must be determined. This is a thorn in the arse of the religious i.e. they want to shout we are all sinners and must change! But how can we when we do not have free will or choice?
DrMontague 2 years ago
Again, the idea that what you will choose can be seen ahead of time has no bearing on whether you chose it or not or whether you have free will. You have no tied together those two ideas.
If I was able to travel in a time machine, see you choose the blue ice cream over the red, then traveled back in time and knew that's what you were going to choose, my witnessing would have no bearing on your decision.
I ask again, do you believe in free will and if so what is your explanation for it?
fatsomamacheese 2 years ago
'Omniscient: having complete or unlimited knowledge, awareness, or understanding; perceiving all things' (dictionary)
Your going back in time argument doesn't hold water because this wouldn't mean that you are omniscient. If God is omniscient then would know what you were going to be a time traveler before he created the universe, therefore you wouldn't become a time traveler by choice as you have no free will. All of our lives would be determined i.e. we don't have no free will.
DrMontague 2 years ago
Again, the fact that another "will" has awareness of what you are going to do has no bearing on whether you were able to choose freely.
3 times you have repeated the same thing, 3 times I have asked you to actual connect it to the argument at hand. 3 times I have asked you where free will comes from if you believe in it. 3 times you have ignored it.
If you actually have a Ph.D. I am not sure where you got it or how you could have. Your reading comprehension is not very matured.
fatsomamacheese 2 years ago
My imagined situation has nothing to do with God. I placed a witness to a choice ahead of time of that choice. That witness would have foreknowledge of said choice, but NO resulting impact. The choice could still theoretically be "free" even if another consciousness knew the outcome already.
I think your main problem is you have never explained to yourself what "free will" actually is or how it is possible. This is also why you refuse to answer my question and continue to repeat yourself.
fatsomamacheese 2 years ago
If you believe believe in omniscient god , then this would mean that we cannot have free will (including the time traveler) by default. All our actions would be known by the omniscient god before he created of the universe. . The time traveler would not be acting under free will. The time traveler would only be acting out the will of god! Even as a secular debate the free will v determinism argument has not been resolved.
DrMontague 2 years ago
The free will v determinism argument can be presented as follows: Algi (free will) met a bear (determinism ), a bear met algi, the bear became bulgy, the bulge was algi.
Which means we have the feeling of free will and are determined at the same time! Free will and determinism appear to be one and the same thing! This goes against our reasoning. The Free will v determinism argument still rages today. It has never been resolved.
DrMontague 2 years ago
oi man 1day i was in the woods n i think i came across algi n the bear...and you know what i did? i found myself a nice big leaf from a tree and took the biggest damn dump in it and then flung it towards the sky and the WHOLE GAME was to see WHO would it land on FIRST!!!
man me and algi had an awsome time, we go way back now.....but recetnly i came across another bear named bulgy and i think i fell in love with her bulge now bulgy and i play the throw the leaf of shit into the sky game everyday
funkychicken1994 2 years ago
Here is another example...
No matter what I say you are going to repeat the moot point "If God is omniscient then we cannot have freewill because he knows what we are going to do"
The fact that I know this has no bearing on your choice to say it. I will give you all sorts of philosophical paths to go down and you will continue to say that same idea. You DO have a choice though, even though I KNOW you're going to say it again...
fatsomamacheese 2 years ago
The time traveler could (note:COULD) be acting out of the free will that an omnipotent and omniscient God was able to give him.
I'm tired of you banging your head on this wall though. I want you to tell me where you believe free will comes from. I don't want a "the debate still rages"...I want to know what YOU think. You consider free will to be a thorn in the side of those who believe in a higher power, I will show you it is just the reverse.
fatsomamacheese 2 years ago
I'll say it again. If there is an omniscient being then we can not free will by default. If god knows all our action before he created the universe then all our actions must be determined. I do not believe in an omniscient god, therefore I have the possibility having free will. In fact I do have free will! This is why I am telling you to go and fuck yourself., or could be it that I have no free will therefore it is god who is really telling you to go and fuck yourself!
DrMontague 2 years ago
If you don't believe in free will, then the universe makes perfect sense. My actions as well as yours are dictated by stimuli, and electromagnetic and chemical reactions in our brains. We are a pair of dice being rolled with our resulting number only being influenced by the arrangement of our molecules, wind, gravity, friction, etc.
If you DO believe in free will, where do you believe it comes from?
See in my opinion, free will is one of the greatest pieces of subjective evidence FOR God.

If you believe in evolution, you would think that it's more naturally superior for a horse to evolve wings and fly. If we don't have unicorns then the theory of evolution is flawed.
zigzagzoo12 4 years ago
You obviously no nothing about evolution. Evolution does not have a goal to head for. see Dawkins Climbing Mount Improbable. Click my user name, play lists, Climbing Mount Improbable. I warn you now that if you're a typical creationist cretin I will block you as I have no time for retards, and this is my channel.
DrMontague 4 years ago
Well said. Actually you grant them more rights than they would allow a non creationist on their channels. They delete comments they don't like and block the makers of it. Indeed why waste time on people that during their normal day time won't even think to buy and read a good science book? You must be braindead to be/become a creationist. There is simply no cure available for it.
creationismisstupid 4 years ago
I would recommend getting yourself through Philosophy 101, then trying to make it through some Logic courses. Flawed logic follows patterns, and though that comment was an excellent example of such, it isn't for the reasons you think.
julienumber3 4 years ago
Creationists don't follow a methodolgy they simply lie. Polkingholme ( the ordained priest)in this viseo isn't a creationist, he believes that science has by in large got it right, meaning 'the big bang' and evolutionary theory are correct. He still believes in god but offers no proof of one.
DrMontague 4 years ago
You just contradicted yourself then by saying the priest agrees and believes in creationists views and what they say scientifically.. and that creationists are liars. Can't be both, I'm afraid.
ramerriam 3 years ago
The ancestors of the horse did learn to fly, they are called bats. The horse is a particularly good example of evolution by the way, It is a very complete fossil records with all transitional forms available. The horse stared out as a dog like animal, before that it has common ancestry with other mammals. Horse ancestors survived by moving onto the savannah to eat veg, rather than jumping out of trees to eat bugs, which is no doubt why they had no selection pressure for wings.

Go and read evolutionary biology you creationist cretin.
DrMontague 4 years ago
Proteins have been created in primordial'slime'(the only word understood by creationists in the evolution of humankind) in conditions discerned as similar to the early oceans. So the answer to your question is proteins came first. But as science always asks the right questions instead of providing the answer first, science, although doubting will eventually get the answer.
I think theosophy would be a better subject for you to study, science doesn't seem to be your bent.

DrMontague 4 years ago
By denying the Bible you are Fulfilling the Bible, "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts" 2nd Peter 3:3
av1611truth 4 years ago
The beauty of religious texts is that they can be used to prove any thoery. You fullfill that statement.
Neither science nor religion succeed in their true quest, which is the to answer why and how. No matter how macrocosmic Science gets, existance will probably beat it in scale. It just gets more and more complex. And no religion even gives credence to the question "Where does God come from?"
loyalopposition 4 years ago
And yes, it does matter, as much as any of this matters. If it's possible for God to "just exist", then why isn't it possible that we "just exist"? And science only can contemplate what is observable fact, so it really only answers the "how" of what is observable. Evolution is clearly fact, but again, it only answers how, not what the signifigance of the event may be. Likely, we'll never understand, so fuggetaboutit
loyalopposition 4 years ago 2
How do you know science wont succeed? The scientific method (still very young)has greatly contributed to our understanding of the universe.Imagine-if the human race is still here in a million years time-the tremendous leaps science will have made.

very true, yet science is willing to not only accept the fact that it probally won't explain everything but isn't shy about admitting it.

Science and Religion and Syncretism
Science- systematic knowledge of the physical or material world gained through observation and experimentation.
Religion- the practice of religious beliefs; ritual observance of faith.
Syncretism- the merging of two or more originally different inflectional forms.
Lockmanship 4 years ago
1. the attempted reconciliation or union of different or opposing principles, practices, or parties, as in philosophy or religion.
2. Grammar. the merging, as by historical change in a language, of two or more categories in a specified environment into one, as, in nonstandard English, the use of was with both singular and plural subjects, while in standard English was is used with singular subjects (except for you in the second person singular) and were with plural subjects.
DrMontague 4 years ago
True science cannot merge with religious faith otherwise it ceases to become science. True science does not look for a super natural agency to explain phenomena.

en.wikipediadotorg/wiki/Syncretism
My source wikipedia. Read or browse the whole article. It's mostly to do with religions merging. It has nothing what so ever to do with science. Simply go to wikipedia and type syncetism in the search box. I expect you now to back up your argument with a reliable source. If you do not I will simply block you for being a time waster at worst for being a creationist. I'm waiting.
DrMontague 4 years ago
Syncretism consists of the attempt to reconcile disparate or contradictory beliefs, often while melding practices of various schools of thought.
DrMontague 4 years ago
The term may refer to attempts to merge and analogize several originally discrete traditions, especially in the theology and mythology of religion, and thus assert an underlying unity.
DrMontague 4 years ago
Syncretism also occurs commonly in literature, music, the representational arts and other expressions of culture. (Compare the concept of eclecticism.) Syncretism may occur in architecture as well. There also exist syncretic politics, although in political classification the term has a somewhat different meaning.
