It came with stacks when I got it in '06.  Pretty sure he went with a local place here. You'll love having stacks. I think the mitre cut like mine look the best, and 5" is big enough.

ok im a die hard cummins fan i always have been i own a cummins and i wouldn't chose any diesel truck over it.

but even if your a cummins fan of not you gotta admit its is by far the best sounding diesel engine out of the three

I like the sound of cummins better then duramax & powerjoke but my Injectors on my cummins always go out. My friend told me where to get good fuel and yes it was good but about 1500 miles later two Injector went out on me.I change the fuel filter like I should and still my Injectors get plugd. My dodge shop guy doesnt knw what to tell me? Im giving up on it. ILL trade it for a duramax

Nice truck. Do you get the exhaust resonating in the cab with the mitre cut's? I have straight cut top dual 6inch stacks on my silverado & it resonates in the cab between 25& 40mph. I have orderd 6 inch aussies and hope that diverts the drone away from the cab enough that it wont annoy me. Love the sound, hate the drone.

Thanks. These are 5" stacks and it does get a drone going around 50-55MPH. They stick up high enough that I don't know if a different type of tip would do much about it.

Hey, thanks for the info on your truck with the exhaust resonating.. Hopefully the aussie cut stacks will deflect enough of the exhaust away from the cab, so it wont drone so much.. At 400 for the set, it better, becuase this is the last I am spending on it.. Between the stack kit from grandrocks, paying to have it installed, and now the new style stacks, Iam looking at 1500 beans, and this last buy has set me back a month. So much for rims& tires in october.!

Actually, it went out on me. Started with the reverse going, and then it all went - and fast. Supposedly it got hot in the trans. Trust me, I don't beat on the truck all that much. I was told perhaps the wrong trans oil was put in by my "friend".

unplug you MAP sensor and it will blow smoke at idle if u put your foot down and ur engine light will come on but dont worry and ur turbo will kick in quicker

The chevrolet crew cab i want is a '99 3500 Silverado,which currently has a 350 vortec,which i'm planning to drop an '01 or '02 24 valve Cummins,using the destroked 4bt/6bt to gm automatic transmission adapter for the 4L80E.

Just had the trans redone with a Gorend and I'm really happy with it.  Have the Smarty on 6 and Edge Comp on 3, and it moves pretty good. Seems to smoke on command (and even accidentally) heavier now than with the Suncoast from previous...just how it shifts now.

Not sure that it's stacks so much, but free-flowing exhaust is key. Diesels like cold air and going without a muffler lets the hot gases out quicker.

its a 99 cummins, trans should be fine with the smarty, its only 70 more h.p. and like 150 more foot lbs for that truck. the truck only has 50,000 on the odometer now. i called the smarty company and all of the diesel performance places in my area and they said the trans will hold for at least another 100,000. oh and all i use it for is running errands and to get to work every day. all i like too do is a few burnouts and smoke people out.

Thanks, man. Like the stacks, but they are a little flashy. Probably going to stay down low with the exhaust on the '94. Right now I'm looking at options for marine or bigger injectors of some type. Bigger turbo might be in store as well. Guess my stock trans won't like any of this. Gotta think about just how much $ I am willing to spend. Friends say the old '94 could be quite the ripper with some upgrades.
