  • @typeanoise sounding like a band isn't ripping it off.

  • @typeanoise

There is a fine line between being influenced and ripping off. As for the Raveonettes, when asked who were their main influences, they said said surf... haha. Come on.

  • @typeanoise true.

  • They weren't on Tizer, were they...

  • saw them in march 1986 at blackburn king georges hall gig was 17 minutes total

  • I saw then, we paid 5 quid to get in to Preston Guild Hall, they turned their backs on us and played for 20 minutes, walked off and wouldn't even do an encore. There was a fuckin riot. The Police had to escort them out of the back door. I went home and smashed the record. Fucking pretentious load of robbing cunts was my nicest thought about them at the time!

  • drum kit's wayyy to cluttered and big , needs some downsizing

  • This is the footage that caused me to buy "Just like honey" & influence my unsuccessful song writing...erm...career. Well not a career. More like some songs what I did write what about 30 people heard.

  • I hope one day Will gets some recognition for being a bit special on guitar. That sound doesnt just happen!

  • this is f*cking brilliant. we'll never see anything as challenging as this on tv ever again. the mary chain are the best thing that ever came out of scotland. i saw them a few times in 89/90/91 but would give anything to have saw then in 85/86. jools holland is allright too btw.

  • @nasalscarecrow

    Best comment ever, seriously!

  • @indieaner52

Ha, I'd forgotten about that. :D

  • @nasalscarecrow Did see 'em. This tour... was one of my first 'alternative' shows ever. And yes, it was amazing.

  • Haha, i'm taking you've just found out the meaning of self indulgent and you're wanting to use it? If you want to call this self indulgent, surely all music is self indulgent...

  • fuck off back to the Dire Straits posts, grandad!!

  • retarded presenter. that was an oscar wilde quote.

    great song though.

  • You can't say that about Paula, bless her RIP

  • i have always loved Jim!! *grin*

  • I like this

  • your judging this based on a bad recording, there is a lot of painfully squawky sounding midrange noise but don't let your ears fool you, that's just this recording, listen to something mastered before you judge

  • grate. saw these guys in brisbane during sidewalk tour and still haven't recovered. thanx jamc, thanx scotlund, THANX FEEDBACK!!!!!!

  • This reminds me of doing acid in 1986.

  • Ha! Oh the memories.

  • I'd like to ask you, what makes you such an asshat that thinks making stupid remarks makes you cool?

  • I'd like to ask you, what makes you think something that happens in youtube matters?

  • lol!

  • This reminds me of doing acid in 1986 and getting beat up after replacing Psychocandy W/ Sonic Youth's Evol on the turntable. Those were the days.

  • a wonderful song

  • outstanding!

  • Spector bass drum smack meets Velvet Underground 10 out of 10

  • aahahahahaha the hair of that woman in the beginning!!! xD

  • saw them live, ultra band, chaotic melody, with blur as backing band!!!

JMC = timeless tunes and can teach current bands the meaning of playing intrements (REAL MUSIC)

  • If this didn't give me a flashback of the old using days then I don't know what would have!

Now off the top of your heads now....$100.00 to the first correct answer in 15 seconds ,if anyone is online here.

    Dr.J

  • Lost in Translation

  • has always been playing with my body..and burning down my sorry soul~~"bring it down"~~~

  • holy moly its just the most sad desolute album

eeez blue like blues like jazz don't mean anything its just a release music is important the only way to soothe maniacs

  • Folks have informed me that the blonde woman is Paula Yates, former girlfriend to Michael Hutchins of Inxs. She looks good in this video from a distance, but upon closer inspection from other sources of media, she's only about a 6 or 7 on a 10 scale. Nothing to write home about. Surely, a nice or good person, but looks in this grainy video are deceiving.

  • Folks: John and I had an off the net discussion where he apologized for offensive and vulgar language. I decided to accept his apology. Both of us weighed the consequences of not comming to this agreement and we determined that life and freedom outweighted the alternative to feuding.

  • LOL at internet drama.

  • That blond in the beginning of this video, I'll take two of her, one for each arm. One for the daytime and one for the night time because I'd wear them both out! There'd have to be two of them, she's so hot, I'd never quit. 24/7.

  • You'd have to dig her up first you idiot - she died years ago in case you didn't know

  • Yep, I'm an idiot, I haven't kept track of who's died in the last 25 years. Especially have not kept track of women I've never seen before. Women with a brittish acent should be the first and formost for me to keep track of.............Damn, I'm an idiot.

  • Yes you are an idiot you facetious cunt - and don't forget it,

  • Cyberjohn - you are a nob my friend.

  • thanks, friend

  • Comment removed

  • ok thanks, i thought she says it's a quote from an early single. what she quotes is a little different than the wilde quote. thanks for the info though

  • this romantic quote that is referenced, does anyone know what song this is from? i'm tired of searching

  • The quote at the beginning said by the host? It's by Oscar Wilde originally, I believe.

  • THE BEST BRIT ROCK N' ROLL BAND

  • para o meu Amigo Paulo Duarte!

  • God, I loved them!

  • bloody hell...I LOVED this band - at this time. Psychocandy is such a great record.

  • amphetafuckingmines!!!

The JAMC are so amazing, they now have a small memorial tattoo on my wrist.

"JUST LIKE HONEY" written in bleeding font. That/This song IS SO GOOD. Listened to it for days as a teenager.

  • its a great song by a great band.

  • casi nunca veo a los gringos poguear... pero con inside me si que se mueven los putos crudosªªªªªª

  • Sounds Like Honey

  • Rad RAD RAD!!

    love the hair too

  • notice bobbie gillespie of primal scream on drums

  • Fuckin intense!!

  • Im 18 and I bought psychocandy couple of years back. I used to love to play it in highschool outside in the parking lot, because people would give this "what the hell is that" look on there face to me. Some of the greatest songs ever recorded are very simple songs. JAMC proved that you dont need extreme musical talent to make music. Astounding group indeed.

  • indeed...

  • So true!

  • totally

  • what the fuck was that?

  • epic

  • i fuking love the jesus and mary chain!

shame they didnt actually have much talant.

but i think they prove that you dont need a phd in music theory to write some inovative, mind blowing music.

    this is just intense!

  • Can't argue with genius!

    Fuck, I'm so old...

  • If not for the hair, I wouldn't even feel like this is quite so long ago. But yeah.
