Creepers are one of the most dangerous and scary mobs in Minecraft. Unlike others they stay awake even in the morning. They could blow up your house (wooden houses only get SOME resources back so you should use stone or other material for building) and get yourself to die or get really low health. Fourtunately Machinma made this video, thanks Machinima!

Overall it a cool, complex system but you have to be lucky for the creepers to spawn in the right place, it's slow and you have to be constantly at the system for it to work. Personally, i would rather kill the creepers with a diamond sword its quicker for them to die and you don't have to take 1-2 hours to make it

I'm new to Minecraft, and I have the 1.6.6 Beta version. I remember reading smewhere that Minecraft Beta doesn't have mobs. Obviously it isn't true, because I'm constantly killed by monsters at night... But whenever I make a trap that I have seen work on Minecraft Alpha, it doesn't work on Minecraft Beta. So, my question is if this trap will work on Minecraft Beta. I tried a similair one and it didn't work. Do you have to be in the collecting area for it to work?? I don't know... PLEASE HELP

@PumpkinProductions10 Well I have Beta 1.6.6 and my mob trap works fine. It consists of a gigantic building that is pitch black in the inside with canals leading to the center (drawing mobs there). Then in the middle there's a glass tube with water in there (and signs so there's air for them to breathe). Mobs always swim up so they will swim up the glass tube, and will arrive at the mob killer. There the items are collected.
