Saw Mickey Mantle in 1958 at Yankee Stadium and have to tell you all, as a nine year old,
it was my first visit to a major league ball park, Mantle, number 7, was electrifying. It was a day game, probably no more than 25,000 fans but this guy rocked! Saw him many more times
thereafter. Great part about NYC at the time, the kids, ages 7-15, used to go to the games
with friends and no parents, it cost two bucks to get in and guys like Mantle, Maris, Ford
What a Great Eulogy by Baseball's Best Broadcaster.........R. I. P., Mickey......what a great Eulogy followed by Roy Clark's touching rendition of "Yesterday, When I Was Young"
I love Mickey Mantle from the first time I saw him on teevee, when I was in the john sitting on the toilet with a bad case of diarrhea. He brings back lots of memories, especially the salami sandwich I ate back when i had that, you know, diarrhea.
I love you, Mickey! I love you, Mickey! I want to posthumously bear your children!!!!!
the mick was 1 and only 1962 double header at the stadium centerfield bleachers 7 hours wityh mantle still the best day of my life mick 2 homers bases empty, yanks win 2-0,never forget the crowd went nuts
Diehard Met fan...but words can't express the amount of respect that I have for Mick. RIP...they don't make 'em like you anymore. Beautiful eulogy Costas!

I came up watching (actually listening on the radio in San Francisco) Mickey. I thought the guy was God himself.
