  • Back when Pontiacs were still cool!

  • My heart was aching when they took it into the cornfield.

  • It was painful to watch those slack-jawed inbreds destroy that beautiful Trans Am.

  • It's this sort of material that has lead to the abuse and death of many Pontiac Firebirds in every day life. Too many have been trashed up by too many 'yeehaw' people. Definitely a thumbs down, sorry.

  • I have been watching a few Steve Mcqueen films over Christmas. I was too young to see most of his great films at the cinema here in the UK but I saw The Hunter at the cinema and I loved it. I was aware that he was ill as he filmed it.

If I ever met Steve and I would have said only 5 words to him: "nicely done sir, nicely done".

A great actor. A cult figure. A totally flawed human being, but then arent we all.

    Gone but never ever forgotten.

  • Little known fact McQueen was to play lead roll in Cannonball the movie. The movie was to be way different then the one that was made. The studios balked on it and McQueen got sick and later passed away. So the Movie with Burt Rynolds (sp wrong) was not the one that was to be made. Its sad we lost McQueen so young I would have loved to see CannonBall with him in it and cars going crazy.

  • surely Steve McQueen could handle a maual transam(stick shift)

  • dodge Monaco!! Coo!

  • trans am!

  • Classiest chase scene ever.

  • Hard to believe Steve was in the last stages of stage 4 cancer when hn gave it one last shot to finish movie before he would check out just a few months after filming.

  • I hope he checked the box for Full Coverage on the rental form.

  • what a waste......

  • Mustangs, Camaros and Firebirds of this era were lucky if they had 180 horsepower...the V-6's and 4 cylinders of the time were just as pathetic.

  • Hard to believe McQueen was already ill when he made this film.

  • lol steve mcqueen as a talentless driver

  • Bullitt is way better, the Mustang looks way nicer.

  • @MrCleanPolo In 1979 the Mustang was mince meat for the Trans Am so they gave him the best they had at the time. Besides, that '79 Trans Am w/no bird or stripes is one sexy beast!

  • they should give him a mustang ''you can tell he can't handle a real car :)

  • steve...the best ever

  • squelling tires on grass love it..lol

  • Steve Loved mustangs, and always wanted in his movie, no surprise of he dislike for transams, which sucks anyway.

  • Good movie rip S M

  • and low, the game 'Snake' was invented... well done Steve!

  • At least he never gives up...

  • Wish i still had my trans am :( same color and everything

  • what an awesome movie scene!!!

  • Awesome.

  • '79 was my favorite year for the trans am

  • that was the most redneck thing ever.. driving a tans am through a cornfield... well not as redneck as nascar...

  • lol i remember this from my childhood

  • I'd like to party with those guys:)

  • Such a waste of such an amazing car.

  • The Trans Am has crank windows when mcqueen is talking to the cop and every other shot it has power windows

  • Those bastards fucked the hood up.

  • McQueen left this planet waaaaaay too early.

  • Steve McQueen in a brand new 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.

  • and you can take the kid's to see it.

  • McQueen in a Trans-Am...I never knew that happened...I like those TAs more now lol

  • :O THE POOR T/A :'(

  • WTF?!? That '79 Trans Am with an Olds 403 (8:18) only came with about 185 HP. Sure, it'll spin the tires, but it wasn't exactly an uncontrollable beast as depicted.

But some mods would really wake it up! ;^)

  • ok that was bullshit, should have blown up a camaro, i mean if steve mc queen cant control a badass t.a. it tells you somethin about a pontiac . :D love it.

RIP steve mcqueen. RIP TRANS AM. SO SAD.

  • @erick67firebird i think they should have used a mustage :D firebird and checy for ever

  • Tom Horn & The Hunter 1980, Steve McQueen's Last Movies before he died on November 7th of that year! Great Actor!

  • What movie is this.

  • ouch..it breaks my heart to see the car go boom...

  • VERY FUNNY, VERY NICE!!!

  • whos idea was it to blow up a trans am?

  • @MrTransAm1979 Chevrolet's ;-) The Trans Am was schooling the Z28 in every category at the time.

  • @MrTransAm1979

They should have blown up a 79 mustang instead.

  • Steve RIP.

  • When I saw this film in the theater I was a little kid. My dad was laughing his ass off at the thought of Steve McQueen struggling with the car. I had no idea what was so funny. A few years later I saw Bullitt.
