  • My all time fav springsteen song!!!

  • just the mad dogs promenading

  • people should have known that with Bruce doing entire WIESS album that it was time for this gem. Amazing song!! Bruce's best stuff is NEVER on radio. What a shame.

  • Like Bono said "The Genious Roy Bittan!"

  • people need to STFU at concerts. so rude. why are they there anyway?

  • could not agree more. why the fuck go to a show like this to talk.

  • @skinnyfat55: They were probably trying to guess what song it was :) I was at the concert the next night, and me and my dad were trying to ID the song before the other one. As for the people at this concert, I bet they were all saying "Holy sh*t this is NYC Serenade" lol

Also there is much less crown noise on videos shot closer to the stage.

  • good to know this was happening... this was my birthday night... one of the worst b-day's I've had, but glad to hear this was being played somewhere. One of my favorites.

  • this one of bruces finest most epic songs should be played more! rather this than dancing in the dark !

  • It's lovely. But how on earth can you go...and talk?

  • A large portion of the audience probably didn't even know what they were listening to, much less the significance of it.

Most people (even from NY and NJ) have never even heard Bruce and the E-Street Band's greatest songs.

  • Pure genius

  • GReat thoses are the original string parts. He must have hired them locally. They even have the conga player. Roy did a great job with the intro.

  • This latter leg of the US tour makes me sick with envy & jealousy. How I wish I didn't live the other side of the Atlantic. Only sour thing about this vid is the blathering idiots talking their way through such a rarity

  • I know how you feel, but this is NYC! No one every shuts up, everyone has something to say, and manners yes there are many good folks But sometimes Not even beating A NYer with a sign from another native NYER will stop the chatter.

  • I loved it--if only those people wold stop chattering!

  • We came from Scotland to see this concert. Awesome from start to finish. Enjoyed the New York audience. what a night!!!!

  • I wish Bruce would play W,I,E Street S, in Baltimore next week, but he's scheduled to play Born to Run. Wild...is my favorite Bruce album, hands down. But, Wild...is a very New York City vibe, so it makes perfect sense that he played it in NYC. Great song. Great vid.

  • I was there, It was simply stunning.

  • so lucky!!

  • How do you write a song like this when your 23 years old...???!!!! Bruce is a genius...!

  • @chrisbb33

you are not wrong, this is a masterpiece and I will forever regret not being at the show

  • Stunned!!

  • wow

  • what kind of idiot talks through a performance like this??!! hey dude near the video guy, STFU! you idiot.

what a beautiful performance. look forward to hearing a cleaner version out there.

  • I just don't know what I'd have done if I'd have been there...I'd have been sobbing tears of joy. This song is like something from a dream as far as I'm concerned. I hope there's a reason for these 'Full album' shows - ie; a DVD/Live LP release.

  • haha i balled during this

  • I was there too....!.. In spirit... :)

  • Beautiful...

  • Beautiful!

  • almost said no to going, probably would have killed myself if i hadnt changed my mind, this song was the most amazing live performance i have and will ever see. hands down.

  • This show was amazing, and New York Serenade beautiful to listen too. I'm so fortunate and blessed to have seen this in person.

  • :_(

  • Mmmm. Waited 30 years for this show, felt blessed to be there. Thanks for posting this.

  • Roy is a Master! Nothing second rate about The Professor!!

  • @scruffs13 I know. Surpised that he never played the intro live David did. First time I saw this.

  • That's true. It was David Sancious the one who played that intro coz Roy joined the band in 1974

  • Roy Bittan is God !

    Who is Clapton ;-)

  • the Professor at the very top of his game. There's no point in the Sancious comparison, perhaps better just to get into the moment and love it for what it is - a very sensitive song, delivered with a lot of love. Great stuff

  • Just awesome !

  • Casi muero....IMPRESIONANTE

  • I was there last night..and after 30-odd shows...i think it was one of the most special shows ever. They were incredible last night. Does anyone know the name of the song that was played over the PA right before they came out?

  • Might have been Dylans "Forever Young"

  • the show was amazing! this is my favorite song and i can't believe i was there to see it. thanks for posting, i can now watch it over and over again!

  • Thanks for posting. What a great arrangement. Of course this also proves that Roy isn't as good as Sancious with his attempt to play something similar to that of the record.

  • Heavenly violins.

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • WOW! I can't believe I din't drive down for this, I fought all day with myself, and now I know why I should have just said GO!

  • Excellent work getting this up so quickly. Only seen NYC Serenade once before in Philly about 10 years ago, and I've been chasing it ever since. Will you be posting from The River tonight? I hope so.

  • So many years after...

  • ¡Impresionante! Gracias.

  • Words cannot describe the brilliance!

    Thanks for posting!

    J

  • This was a great tune and what a great concert. Glad to see that you were a few rows in front of me.

  • This is awesome!!!

  • Awesome show!

  • I knew I should have hopped a plane.

  • the Professor still has it, and this is still one of the great albums of all time. I wish I was there...

  • Thanks for posting !!!!!!

  • Man, I'd give my left nut to be there!

  • Thank you, mahalo, for this. Just remarkable. How can anyone not love Bruce?

  • Thanks soooo much for this....!! Pure magic.....!!!

  • Wow - this is breathtaking. Thanks for sharing !

  • Absolutely historically stunning. "33-Years of Joy with Roy"

  • Damn,,, One of the finest moments in ESB history...

  • Amazing - transcendent - magical
