Doesn't show much. It wasn't a Muse concert, so it wasn't packed and you could here everything a lot clearer. A cell phone recording would sound decent. Not as good, but still decent.
@BassT2k7 The lo-cut isn't the problem , the zoom was in the front pocket of my shirt so the microphones were directed to the sealing. with the other videos the H1 mounted on my camera.
So when you want to make illegal recordings this is the sound you get :).
Hi, i have a question, did u use zoom h1 alone or did u plug external microphone or headphones in zoom h1, or just zoom h1 , and did u connect zoom h1 onto 550d or just recorded it (sound) seperatly then video and synchronized later.
Nice test. I have a couple of loud bands on my channel. My input level was set to 10. It was very loud that night. Have you tried to attach the H1 to the hot shoe with an adapter? Cheap ones on ebay.
@franksfender I was also thinking to set the input level to 10 next time, made an adapter for the hot shoe from some old parts and upgraded my memory so next time I will record @ 96Khz/24 bit .
were your recordings @ 96/24 ? , in two weeks I will go to an other gig of the same to bands ( "Good Things End" & "My Favorite Scar") so than I'll be able to hear the difference :)
@Zwartan I've tried a few different khz/bit settings. I didn't notice a huge difference. I think it matters what you're recording. But if you have the room to up the quality, I say use it. Also when I get home with my recording I do a little tweaking with Waveburner. I'm sure you could use Audacity. That way you could balance out the high and the lows. Just recorded a 4th band and still loving it.
Hotness!

Label your next test "24/96" please so we know what we're listening to.
A suggestion. Get ANOTHER recording in 24/96 off of the desk, if you can hook it up.
THAT would be very interesting to hear!

@worldofgnr No external microphone just the zoom H1.
I used the (bad)sound of the camera to sync it with the zoom.
This weekend I'll try the zoom with low-cut OFF, same band same PA
so it should be interesting to hear the difference.
