Hi there. Keep in mind that Ricky Jay is a magician, and expert at the art of conning. He actually said in one of his radio interviews that he enjoys lying when it facilitates conjuring. While card throwing is art of itself, and Ricky Jay is an exponent of that view, he still has little problem lying about it. I disagree with you about him struggling to get it into the watermelon. I have a lot of evidence that it was part of his act.
For example, he did exactly the same thing in his earlier presentation called "Learned Pigs and Fireproof women". He used almost identical material, and "just so happen" to get the card into the water melon when he was down to only one. I humbly disagree with that statement. Nonetheless, good video! You should explain how you did it so that people learning the art of card throwing can understand the trickery that may come with it. Cheers!
well that was sweet. jay would be proud. he would have been, if you wouldnt have critisised him like that in the beginning.... ;) anyway, youre great, awesome, keep on doing what you do!!
