I love the visual effect of the petals. SO MOVING. I coach a dance team of high school girls and whenever I'm trying to get them to understand the passion it takes to be a great dancer... I show them Alicia's videos. Her passion is so obvious.
This is dance is a dance I come back to, to feel that inspiration which reminds me of why i dance... i cry everytime i watch this... the way she tells the story literally connects you to her and makes you feel her emotion. Not many dancers can take a dance and make it their own in way where the movements could never be repeated by anyone. Her unique beautiful awkwardness in this dance makes her the vulnerable girl sharing her story with everything thats left of her. I love this. A Masterpiece.
This is the first video I saw of Alicia, which lead me to Emily's 'Faysweeper' page, and that god for that. However, through and through I always come back to this dance, it's one of my favourites of Emily's, and definitely my favourite solo of Alicias. Just unreal passion.. especially for someone so young. I can't get enough of this. Simply amazing.
this is so amazing! i have never seen anyone do a solo with such emotion! she is such an amazing dancer too! you can really tell that she is actually dancing instead of just doing steps.
I have seen this at least 50 times and I find something new and different about it each and every time! I feel like my soul is dancing with you and that is beyond amazing to capture that through a video.
Your daughter has inspired me in all of dance.If it weren't for her there is no way i would be where i am,I was never really driven in dance until i saw her.She is amazing,no one can describe the amount of talent that she was born with.She is absolutley the best dancer i have ever seen.I have had many injuries and she has made me stick through it and dance my heart out.Tell her how inspiring she is to not only me but every other dancer in the world. she has the amazing control
Everytime I watch either this solo or "Your House" I cry.... I love watching Alicia and would give ANYTHING to see her in person... I completely agree with omgitsmena about the facial expression though... Alicia's connection to the audience through her body language is captivating...
ive seen this dance at dance camp and its sooo beautiful the way you make people watching you feel. i love this dance and im inspired by how you connect with the choreograpy and make it not just a dance routine,but a piece of fine art!! keep on dancing with your heart and your feet will follow!!!

I've taught for 17 years and have never seen someone with your potential, passion, and overall well rounded style. You are sooooo amazing and it is such a joy to share in some of these performances. You brought me to tears with this dance!

I look up to her in so many ways.
Her passion inspires me. Her technique is very good, but the was she puts feeling into it makes it the true definition of dancing.
It's crazy how i can't see her facil expressions that well but yet she still connects. Her dancing captures the heart.
