Bellamy's an awsome guitarist/songwriter. Unlike ppl like satriani and vai etc, he knows how to put a damn good song together thats not just showing how many notes per second he can play. Imo Bellamy>Vai, Satch.

If you compare it to Blink 182, Tom left the band, because he matured and did not want to play songs for teenagers, that is why he formed Angels and Airwaves.
I doubt Muse will release another album like Origin, but at least they will put in a few songs that stay true. Unnatural Selection is similar to New Born-intro wise riff.

I'm Teaching my daughter piano and the part at the begining I use as an exercise for her. Really helps with teaching your hands to move in separate directions.

I think he means when Matt strikes behind his left hand using his pick. He does it once during the solo and a few times during the final riff.
If you have high enough compression on your strings then you an create similar high pitched sounds by striking behind the nut as Matt does here. Not many guitars can do it as well as that though, unless they are designed with that in mind ;)
He mutes all other strings than the one he is using. Looks like the B string to me, so he is muting EADG and highE :)
Angus young does it in ac/dc when playing the thunderstruck solo allso, its very easy to do. The point is just to get the other strings quite so they dont ring if you accidently hit em :)
You can also do it but striking open stringed, pinch harmonics across the B and G strings. That how I do it cos my guitar cant do the behind the nut sounds.
It is effectively a fuzz pedal wired into his guitar, he basicly holds a note of feedback or a harmony, and he uses one of the knobs to osilate it up and down. It's really cool, one of my friends has one (Not in his guitar though, as the pedal)
EDIT: Actually my friend has had it wired into a guitar he made, but all the knobs are lined up like on the pedal, whereas Matthew Bellamy has a few of them underneath the guitars and the few he uses in performance on the front.
